കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ബ്രിട്ടീഷ് പത്രമായ 'ദി ഗാര്‍ഡിയന്‍' പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ച ഒരു വാര്‍ത്ത ദക്ഷിണേഷ്യയില്‍ വലിയ ചര്‍ച്ചയായിരുന്നു. 2020-നും 2024-നും ഇടയില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ രഹസ്യാന്വേഷണ ഏജന്‍സിയായ 'റോ'  പാകിസ്ഥാന്‍ കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്ന 20 ഭീകരരെ വധിച്ചതായി ലേഖനം പറയുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യന്‍, പാകിസ്ഥാന്‍ ഇന്റലിജന്‍സ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുമായുള്ള അഭിമുഖങ്ങളെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കിയാണ് ഈ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് തയ്യാറാക്കിയതെങ്കിലും ആരുടെയും പേരുകള്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയിരുന്നില്ല.

വിചിത്രമായ കാര്യം, എല്ലാ കൊലപാതകങ്ങളും ഒരേ രീതിയിലായിരുന്നു നടന്നത്. ബൈക്കിലെത്തുന്ന രണ്ട് 'അജ്ഞാതര്‍' വെടിയുതിര്‍ക്കുന്നു, ലക്ഷ്യം നടപ്പിലാക്കുന്നു, ഒന്നിനും ഒരു തെളിവും അവശേഷിപ്പിക്കാതെ അന്തരീക്ഷത്തില്‍ അപ്രത്യക്ഷമാകുന്നു. ലാഹോര്‍, കറാച്ചി, പെഷവാര്‍, റാവല്‍പിണ്ടി തുടങ്ങി പാകിസ്ഥാനിലെ പ്രധാന നഗരങ്ങളിലെല്ലാം ഇത്തരം സംഭവങ്ങള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ട ഭീകരര്‍

ഇന്ത്യ തിരയുന്ന നിരവധി പ്രമുഖര്‍ ഇത്തരത്തില്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്:

Summary: Since its release on December 5, the Indian film 'Dhurandhar' has been a sensation at the box office. Much has been written about the striking similarities between the movie's plot and real-life figures. For instance, the character of Intelligence Bureau Director Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan, is inspired by India’s current National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval. Similarly, the character of Rehman Dakait, a former underworld don in Karachi portrayed by Akshaye Khanna, is based on Abdul Rehman Baloch.

However, there is still ambiguity regarding the real-life inspiration for the lead character, Hamza Ali Mazar, played by Ranveer Singh.

Hamza is depicted as an Indian spy who infiltrates Karachi's gangs and rises to prominence within the Lyari gang. It is believed that his character is inspired by the "Unknown Gunmen" of Pakistan. For the past five years, these "unknown" figures have repeatedly appeared in Pakistan police records, international media reports, and Islamabad's diplomatic protests. In reality, this film can be seen as a tribute to those nameless and faceless warriors.

Last year, a report published by the British newspaper 'The Guardian' created a massive stir in South Asia. The article claimed that between 2020 and 2024, the Indian foreign intelligence agency, 'RAW', organized the killings of 20 terrorists based in Pakistan. Although the report was based on interviews with Indian and Pakistani intelligence officials, no names were disclosed.

Even before this report, rumors persisted that Indian agents were systematically assassinating criminals and terrorists wanted by India on Pakistani soil.

Curiously, the modus operandi of all these killings was remarkably similar. Two "unknown" gunmen on a motorcycle would open fire, execute the target, and vanish into thin air without leaving a single trace of evidence. Such incidents were reported across major Pakistani cities, including Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Rawalpindi.

In 2023, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged the involvement of Indian agents in the killing of Sikh separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar. Following this, the US Department of Justice raised allegations regarding an Indian official's conspiracy to assassinate US citizen Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. These events suggested the existence of an active international spy network controlled by New Delhi to eliminate enemies of the state.

According to the Guardian report, Indian sleeper cells operating out of the UAE are behind these operations in Pakistan. It is alleged that large sums of money are paid to local criminals or impoverished Pakistanis to carry out these assassinations; in some cases, even Jihadists were reportedly used for the task. The report suggests that India adopted the policy of neutralizing enemies on foreign soil following the 2019 Pulwama attack.

Zahid Akhund: An accused in the 1999 Air India hijacking.

Shahid Latif: The mastermind behind the Pathankot attack.

Bashir Ahmad Peer: A Hizbul Mujahideen commander.

Data suggests that between 2020 and 2025, as many as 32 terrorists wanted by India were assassinated on foreign soil. While India has officially denied these allegations, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, in an April 2024 interview, gave a subtle warning that terrorists seeking refuge in neighboring countries would be pursued and eliminated there.

Gang wars have long been a reality in Pakistan. Therefore, in the absence of concrete evidence, it is impossible to say with certainty who is responsible for these killings. However, as the saying goes, "There is no smoke without fire." The theory that Indian agents are exerting influence within the Pakistani underworld has gained significant traction. It is upon these mysteries that the movie 'Dhurandhar' is built.
