അതിവേഗ റെയില്‍പാത: പൊന്നാനിയില്‍ ഓഫീസ് തുറന്ന് ശ്രീധരന്‍, ഒന്നുമറിഞ്ഞില്ലെന്നു കേരള സര്‍ക്കാര്‍

പൊന്നാനി : മെട്രോമാന്‍ ഇ. ശ്രീധരന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ നടപ്പിലാക്കാന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്ന അതിവേഗ റെയില്‍പാതയുടെ വിശദമായ പദ്ധതിരേഖ തയ്യാറാക്കുന്നതിനായി ഡിഎംആര്‍സി മലപ്പുറത്തെ പൊന്നാനിയില്‍ പുതിയ ഓഫീസ് തുറന്നു. ശ്രീധരന്‍ സ്വന്തം നിലയ്ക്കു തുറന്ന ഓഫീസ് ഭാര്യ രാധ നിലവിളക്കു കൊളുത്തി ഉദ്ഘാടനം ചെയ്തു.

കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഇതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് ഔദ്യോഗിക പ്രഖ്യാപനമൊന്നും നടത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. ഇന്നലെ കേന്ദ്ര ബജറ്റില്‍ പ്രഖ്യാരപിച്ച ഏഴ് അതിവേഗ റെയില്‍ ഇടനാഴികളിലും കേരളം ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ടിട്ടില്ല. കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് പാതയെക്കുറിച്ച് അറിയിപ്പൊന്നും കിട്ടിയിട്ടില്ലെന്നു കേരള സര്‍ക്കാരും പറയുന്നു.

കേന്ദ്ര റെയില്‍വേ മന്ത്രി അശ്വിനി വൈഷ്ണവുമായി നടത്തിയ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ചയ്ക്ക് പിന്നാലെയാണ് ഡിപിആര്‍ തയ്യാറാക്കാന്‍ ഡിഎംആര്‍സിയെ ചുമതലപ്പെടുത്തിയതെന്നും കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ വൈകിക്കേണ്ടെന്നു കരുതിയാണ് ഓഫീസ് സ്വന്തം നിലയില്‍ തുറക്കുന്നതെന്നും ശ്രീധരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു. ജനങ്ങളെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിക്കാതെയായിരിക്കും സര്‍വേയെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം അറിയിച്ചു.

കേരളത്തിന്റെ പാതയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള ആശയം ഏതാനും ആഴ്ച മുന്‍പാണ് യഥാര്‍ത്ഥ രൂപത്തിലേക്കു വന്നതെന്നും അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് കേന്ദ്ര ബജറ്റില്‍ ഇടം പിടിക്കാതെ പോയതെന്നും ശ്രീധരന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച അതിവേഗ റെയില്‍പാതകള്‍: മുംബയ്-പൂണെ, പൂണെ-ഹൈദരാബാദ്, ഹൈദരാബാദ്-ബെംഗളൂരു, ഹൈദരാബാദ്-ചെന്നൈ, ചെന്നൈ-ബെംഗളൂരു, ഡല്‍ഹി-വാരാണസി, വാരാണസി-സിലിഗുരി എന്നിവയാണ് ബജറ്റില്‍ ഇടംപിടിച്ച അതിവേഗ പാതകള്‍.

ഈ പാത യാഥാര്‍ത്ഥ്യമാകുന്നതോടെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുനിന്ന് കോഴിക്കോട്ടേക്ക് 2.5 മണിക്കൂര്‍ കൊണ്ടും, കണ്ണൂരിലേക്ക് 3 മണിക്കൂര്‍ 15 മിനിറ്റ് കൊണ്ടും എത്താന്‍ സാധിക്കുമെന്നാണ് കണക്കുകൂട്ടുന്നത്.

മണിക്കൂറില്‍ 200 കിലോമീറ്ററായിരിക്കും ട്രെയിനിന്റെ വേഗം. 20-25 കിലോമീറ്റര്‍ ഇടവിട്ട് ഏകദേശം 22 സ്റ്റേഷനുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടാകും. ഓരോ 5 മിനിറ്റിലും ട്രെയിന്‍ സര്‍വീസ് നടത്താനാണ് ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നത്.

പദ്ധതിയുടെ 70 ശതമാനവും തൂണുകളിലൂടെയുള്ള ഉയരപ്പാതയായും, 20 ശതമാനം തുരങ്കങ്ങളിലൂടെയും ആയിരിക്കും നിര്‍മ്മിക്കുക. ഇത് ഭൂമി ഏറ്റെടുക്കല്‍ മൂലമുള്ള ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടുകള്‍ കുറയ്ക്കാന്‍ സഹായിക്കും. പദ്ധതിക്ക് ഏകദേശം ഒരു ലക്ഷം കോടി രൂപ ചെലവ് വരുമെന്നാണ് കണക്കാക്കുന്നത്.

ഈ പദ്ധതിക്കു ബദലായി സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ബജറ്റില്‍ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച ആര്‍ആര്‍ടിഎസ് പദ്ധതിയെ ഇ. ശ്രീധരന്‍ വിമര്‍ശിച്ചു. ആര്‍ആര്‍ടിഎസ് ഒരു 'ഇലക്ഷന്‍ സ്റ്റണ്ട്' ആണെന്നും കേരളത്തിന് അനുയോജ്യം അതിവേഗ റെയില്‍പാതയാണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം മലപ്പുറത്ത് നടത്തിയ വാര്‍ത്താസമ്മേളനത്തില്‍ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. പദ്ധതിയെക്കുറിച്ച് ജനങ്ങളെ ബോധ്യപ്പെടുത്താനായി അദ്ദേഹം ജനസമ്പര്‍ക്ക പരിപാടികളും നടത്താന്‍ ഉദ്ദേശിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

Summary: A new office has been opened in Ponnani, Malappuram, by the DMRC (Delhi Metro Rail Corporation) under the leadership of Metroman E. Sreedharan to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the proposed High-Speed Rail project in Kerala. Sreedharan opened the office independently, and it was inaugurated by his wife, Radha, by lighting the traditional lamp.

The Central Government has not yet made an official announcement regarding this project. Furthermore, Kerala was not included in the seven high-speed rail corridors announced in the Union Budget yesterday. The Kerala Government has also stated that it has received no formal communication from the Centre regarding the project.

E. Sreedharan explained that the decision to task DMRC with the DPR followed his meeting with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. He stated that the office was opened independently to avoid any delays in the process. He also assured that the survey would be conducted without causing any inconvenience to the public.

Regarding the project's absence from the Union Budget, Sreedharan noted that the concept for the Kerala corridor was finalized only a few weeks ago, which is why it was not included.

Varanasi–Siliguri

Project Highlights & Vision:

Travel Time: Once realized, travel from Thiruvananthapuram to Kozhikode will take 2.5 hours, and to Kannur, 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Speed: The trains will operate at a speed of 200 km/h.

Stations: There will be approximately 22 stations spaced 20–25 km apart.

Frequency: The goal is to have a train service every 5 minutes.

Construction: To minimize land acquisition issues, 70% of the track will be elevated (on pillars) and 20% will pass through tunnels.

Estimated Cost: The project is expected to cost approximately 1 lakh crore.

Sreedharan also criticized the RRTS (Regional Rapid Transit System) project announced by the State Government in its budget as an alternative. Speaking at a press conference in Malappuram, he labeled the RRTS an "election stunt" and maintained that high-speed rail is what Kerala truly needs. He intends to conduct public outreach programs to educate the people about the project.
