തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ശബരിമല സ്വര്ണ്ണക്കൊള്ളക്കേസിലെ പ്രതികളുടെ വീടുകളിലും സ്ഥാപനങ്ങളിലും എന്ഫോഴ്സ്മെന്റ് ഡയറക്ടറേറ്റ് വ്യാപകമായ റെയ്ഡ് നടത്തുന്നു. കേസിലെ പ്രധാന പ്രതിയായ ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണന് പോറ്റി ഉള്പ്പെടെയുള്ളവരുടെ താമസസ്ഥലങ്ങളിലാണ് പരിശോധന നടത്തുന്നത്. ഓപ്പറേഷന് ഗോള്ഡന് ഷാഡോ എന്ന പേരിലാണ് റെയ്ഡ്.
പത്മകുമാറിന്റെ ആറന്മുളയിലെ വീട്ടിലും വാസുവിന്റെ പേട്ടയിലെ വീട്ടിലുമാണ് റെയ്ഡ് നടന്നത്. തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ ദേവസ്വം ബോര്ഡ് ആസ്ഥാനത്തും ഇഡി സംഘമെത്തി പരിശോധന നടത്തി. പണം എവിടെയൊക്കെ നിക്ഷേപിച്ചു എന്നതിലാണ് ഇഡി ഇപ്പോള് ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നത്.
ശബരിമലയിലെ ശ്രീകോവില് വാതിലുകളിലും ദ്വാരപാലക ശില്പങ്ങളിലും പതിച്ചിരുന്ന സ്വര്ണ്ണം മോഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടാണ് കേസ്. ഇതില് വലിയ തോതിലുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക ക്രമക്കേടുകളും കള്ളപ്പണം വെളുപ്പിക്കലും നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്ന സംശയത്തെത്തുടര്ന്നാണ് ഇഡി കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റര് ചെയ്തത്.
മുന് ദേവസ്വം ബോര്ഡ് പ്രസിഡന്റ് എ. പത്മകുമാര്, ശബരിമല മുന് തന്ത്രി കണ്ഠരര് രാജീവര്, ഉണ്ണികൃഷ്ണന് പോറ്റി തുടങ്ങി നിരവധി പ്രമുഖര് ഈ കേസില് പ്രതിപ്പട്ടികയിലുണ്ട്. ഇവരില് പലരെയും ക്രൈംബ്രാഞ്ചിന്റെ പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘം നേരത്തെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
കൊല്ലം വിജിലന്സ് കോടതിയുടെ നിര്ദ്ദേശപ്രകാരം കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട എഫ്.ഐ.ആര്, റിമാന്ഡ് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് തുടങ്ങിയ സുപ്രധാന രേഖകള് ഇഡിക്ക് കൈമാറി. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് ഇഡി ഔദ്യോഗികമായി 'ഇസിഐആര്'രജിസ്റ്റര് ചെയ്ത് അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചത്.
സ്വര്ണ്ണം വിറ്റുകിട്ടിയ പണം എവിടെയൊക്കെ നിക്ഷേപിച്ചു, ഇതിന് പിന്നില് വന്തോതിലുള്ള ഹവാല ഇടപാടുകള് നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടോ തുടങ്ങിയ കാര്യങ്ങളാണ് ഇഡി പ്രധാനമായും പരിശോധിക്കുന്നത്. പ്രതികളുടെ സ്വത്തുക്കള് കണ്ടുകെട്ടാനുള്ള നടപടികളിലേക്കും ഇഡി കടന്നേക്കുമെന്ന് സൂചനയുണ്ട്.
ശബരിമലയിലെ ആചാരങ്ങളെയും വിശ്വാസങ്ങളെയും ഹനിക്കുന്ന രീതിയില് നടന്ന ഈ സ്വര്ണ്ണക്കൊള്ളയില് അന്തര്സംസ്ഥാന ബന്ധങ്ങളും വലിയ തോതിലുള്ള അഴിമതിയും നടന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നാണ് ഇഡിയുടെ കണ്ടെത്തല്.

Simultaneous raids are underway at 21 locations across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. ED officials are searching the houses of the first accused, Unnikrishnan Potti, and former presidents of the Travancore Devaswom Board, A. Padmakumar and N. Vasu.
Specifically, raids were conducted at Padmakumar's residence in Aranmula and Vasu’s house in Pettah. An ED team also reached the Devaswom Board headquarters in Thiruvananthapuram for inspection. The agency is currently focusing on tracing where the misappropriated funds were invested.
Case Background The case pertains to the theft of gold plated onto the sanctum sanctorum (Sreekovil) doors and the idols of the Dwarapalakas (guardian deities) at Sabarimala. The ED registered the case following suspicions of large-scale financial irregularities and money laundering.
The accused list includes several prominent figures, such as former Devaswom Board President A. Padmakumar, former Sabarimala Tantri Kandararu Rajeevaru, and Unnikrishnan Potti. Many of them had previously been arrested by the Crime Branch’s Special Investigation Team (SIT).
Following directives from the Kollam Vigilance Court, vital documents including the FIR and remand reports were handed over to the ED. Subsequently, the agency officially launched its probe by registering an ECIR (Enforcement Case Information Report).
The Investigation The ED is primarily investigating where the proceeds from the sale of the stolen gold were invested and whether massive hawala transactions were involved. There are indications that the agency may soon move to attach the assets of the accused.
According to the ED’s findings, this gold theft—which desecrated the rituals and beliefs of Sabarimala—involves interstate links and high-level corruption.
