He stated, "Reports in the media regarding technical talks by working groups being held in Doha are unconfirmed," adding that no such meetings have been scheduled for this week.

Although official high-level talks were denied, Reuters reports that some lower-ranking diplomatic representatives from both sides might meet to reduce military tensions in the Persian Gulf.

The urgency for talks is driven by severe military escalations in the region over recent days. Iran carried out an attack on a commercial vessel near the coast of Oman, just outside the strategic Strait of Hormuz. In retaliation, the US military launched heavy airstrikes against Iranian military bases. Following this, Iran targeted US military installations in Kuwait and Bahrain with missile strikes.

Currently, both nations have agreed through international channels to temporarily halt military operations to ensure the smooth transit of commercial vessels.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced that as part of the agreement, it was decided to release $6 billion (approximately ₹50,000 crore) out of Iran's $12 billion in frozen assets held in Qatari banks. However, US sources have not yet officially confirmed this.

Meanwhile, a joint committee meeting between Iran and Oman was held in Muscat for the first time to regulate maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz. In exchange for the lifting of American sanctions, Iran is obligated to provide safe passage for commercial vessels.
