ഡല്ഹി പോലീസിന്റെ സ്പെഷ്യല് സെല്ലിന്റെ ഈസ്റ്റേണ് റേഞ്ച് സംഘം നടത്തിയ അറസ്റ്റിലൂടെ ഡല്ഹി-എന്.സി.ആര് (ദേശീയ തലസ്ഥാന മേഖല) പ്രദേശങ്ങളില് ആസൂത്രണം ചെയ്തിരുന്ന ഭീകരാക്രമണങ്ങളും, അനധികൃത ആയുധ-മയക്കുമരുന്ന് കടത്തുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട മറ്റ് പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളും തടയാന് സാധിച്ചു.
ഭീകരാക്രമണങ്ങള് നടത്താനും, ആയുധങ്ങളും മയക്കുമരുന്നുകളും കടത്താനും, ആക്രമണം നടത്തേണ്ട സാധ്യതയുള്ള സ്ഥലങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വിവരങ്ങള് ശേഖരിക്കാനും പാകിസ്ഥാനില് നിന്ന് ലഭിച്ച നിര്ദ്ദേശങ്ങള് അനുസരിച്ചാണ് ഈ സംഘം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരുന്നതെന്ന് പോലീസ് വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ഹെറോയിന് ഉള്പ്പെടെയുള്ള മയക്കുമരുന്നുകളും ആയുധങ്ങളും വെടിക്കോപ്പുകളും പാകിസ്ഥാനില് നിന്ന് പഞ്ചാബ് വഴിയാണ് ഇവര് ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് കടത്തിയിരുന്നത്.
വര്ഗീയ സംഘര്ഷം സൃഷ്ടിക്കാന് പദ്ധതി
ഇങ്ങനെ കടത്തുന്ന സാധനങ്ങള് പിന്നീട് ഡല്ഹി-എന്.സി.ആറിലെ വിവിധ സ്ഥലങ്ങളിലേക്ക് വിതരണം ചെയ്യുകയായിരുന്നു പതിവ്. തലസ്ഥാന മേഖലയില് വന് ആക്രമണത്തിന് സജീവമായി തയ്യാറെടുക്കുകയായിരുന്ന ഈ ശൃംഖലയുടെ വലിയ പദ്ധതികളാണ് കൃത്യമായ സമയത്ത് നടത്തിയ ഇടപെടലിലൂടെ തകര്ത്തതെന്ന് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര് പറഞ്ഞു. ഷഹസാദ് ഭട്ടി, അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജര് എന്നിവരുടെ നിര്ദ്ദേശപ്രകാരം ഈ സംഘത്തിലെ അംഗങ്ങള് ഡല്ഹി-എന്.സി.ആറിലെ ജനത്തിരക്കേറിയ പൊതുസ്ഥലങ്ങള്, പ്രധാന സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്, മതനേതാക്കളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട സ്ഥലങ്ങള് എന്നിവടങ്ങളില് നിരീക്ഷണം നടത്തിയിരുന്നതായി അന്വേഷണത്തില് വ്യക്തമായി.

പാക് പിന്തുണയുള്ള ഈ ശൃംഖലയെക്കുറിച്ച് ലഭിച്ച കൃത്യമായ വിവരങ്ങളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്, സാങ്കേതിക നിരീക്ഷണം, മൊബൈല് ഫോണ് ഡാറ്റ വിശകലനം, ഗ്രൗണ്ട് ലെവല് വിവരങ്ങള് എന്നിവ ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് പോലീസ് സംഘം ഈ ശൃംഖലയെ കണ്ടെത്തി അറസ്റ്റ് രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയത്.

അനസ് എന്ന അനസ് ത്യാഗി (26): ലോനി, ഗാസിയാബാദ് സ്വദേശി. മുന്പ് മൂന്ന് ക്രിമിനല് കേസുകളില് പ്രതിയായ ഇയാള് 2025 നവംബര് മുതല് പാകിസ്ഥാനിലുള്ള അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറുമായും ഷഹസാദ് ഭട്ടിയുമായും നിരന്തരം ബന്ധപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു.
മോഹിത് എന്ന യോഗി (26): ലോനി, ഗാസിയാബാദ് സ്വദേശി. അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറുമായി നേരിട്ട് ബന്ധമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.
ദീപക് എന്ന ദീപക് അഗ്രോള: ടെക്നോ സിറ്റി, ഗാസിയാബാദ് സ്വദേശി. കൊലപാതകം, കവര്ച്ച, വധശ്രമം, ഗ്യാങ്സ്റ്റര് ആക്ട് പ്രകാരമുള്ള കുറ്റങ്ങള് എന്നിവയുള്പ്പെടെ 23 കേസുകളില് പ്രതിയാണ്.
ആരിഫ് എന്ന പ്രധാന്: ലോനി സ്വദേശി. ആംസ് ആക്ട് (ആയുധ നിയമം), എന്.ഡി.പി.എസ് ആക്ട് (മയക്കുമരുന്ന് വിരുദ്ധ നിയമം) എന്നിവപ്രകാരമുള്ള കേസുകളില് പ്രതി.
കരണ്വീര് സിംഗ്: ഫത്തേഗഡ് സാഹിബ്, പഞ്ചാബ് സ്വദേശി. എന്.ഡി.പി.എസ് ആക്ട് പ്രകാരം കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റര് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ജതന്: ടെക്നോ സിറ്റി സ്വദേശി. വധശ്രമവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കേസുകളില് പ്രതി.

ഡ്രോണ് വഴിയുള്ള ആയുധക്കടത്തും സോഷ്യല് മീഡിയ റിക്രൂട്ട്മെന്റും
പണം നല്കാമെന്നും ക്രിമിനല് പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളിലൂടെ എളുപ്പത്തില് സാമ്പത്തിക നേട്ടമുണ്ടാക്കാമെന്നും വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്ത്, സോഷ്യല് മീഡിയ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകളും എന്ക്രിപ്റ്റ് ചെയ്ത മെസ്സേജിംഗ് ആപ്പുകളും ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് ഷഹസാദ് ഭട്ടിയും അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറും യുവാക്കളെ ആകര്ഷിച്ചതെന്ന് അന്വേഷണത്തില് വ്യക്തമായി. ഇത്തരത്തില് റിക്രൂട്ട് ചെയ്യപ്പെടുന്നവരെ പിന്നീട് ആയുധ വിതരണം, നിരീക്ഷണ ജോലികള്, മയക്കുമരുന്ന് കടത്ത്, ഭീകരപ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങള് എന്നിവയിലേക്ക് വലിച്ചിഴയ്ക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
2026 മെയ് മാസത്തില് ഷഹസാദ് ഭട്ടിയും അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറും ഡല്ഹി-എന്.സി.ആറില് ആക്രമണം നടത്താന് പദ്ധതിയിടുന്നതായി സ്പെഷ്യല് സെല്ലിന് രഹസ്യവിവരം ലഭിച്ചതോടെയാണ് ഈ കേസില് നിര്ണായക വഴിത്തിരിവുണ്ടായത്.
യമുന വിഹാറിലെ ഭഗീരഥ് ജലശുദ്ധീകരണ പ്ലാന്റിന് സമീപത്തുനിന്നാണ് മോഹിത് അറസ്റ്റിലായത്. ഇയാളില് നിന്ന് ഒരു അനധികൃത പിസ്റ്റളും നാല് വെടിയുണ്ടകളും ഒരു മൊബൈല് ഫോണും പോലീസ് കണ്ടെടുത്തു. ഈ ഫോണ് പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറുമായുള്ള ആശയവിനിമയങ്ങള് പുറത്തുവന്നത്. ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യലില്, തനിക്കും കൂട്ടാളികള്ക്കും ആയുധങ്ങളും മയക്കുമരുന്നുകളും കടത്താനുള്ള ചുമതലയാണ് നല്കിയിരുന്നതെന്ന് മോഹിത് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.
പാകിസ്ഥാനില് നിന്ന് ഡ്രോണുകള് ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് ആയുധങ്ങളും മയക്കുമരുന്നുകളും പഞ്ചാബിലേക്ക് എത്തിച്ചിരുന്നതെന്ന് തുടരന്വേഷണത്തില് വ്യക്തമായി. ഈ സാധനങ്ങള് കൈപ്പറ്റി ഡല്ഹി-എന്.സി.ആറിലേക്ക് എത്തിക്കാന് അനസ്, കരണ്വീര് സിംഗ് എന്നിവരടങ്ങുന്ന സംഘത്തെ പഞ്ചാബിലേക്ക് അയച്ചിരുന്നു. മതനേതാക്കള്, പൊതുസ്ഥലങ്ങള്, തന്ത്രപ്രധാനമായ സ്ഥലങ്ങള് എന്നിവടങ്ങളില് ഷഹസാദ് ഭട്ടിയുടെ നിര്ദ്ദേശപ്രകാരം നിരീക്ഷണം നടത്തിയിരുന്നതായി ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യലില് ഇവര് സമ്മതിച്ചു. ഈ ലക്ഷ്യസ്ഥാനങ്ങളുടെ ചിത്രങ്ങളും വീഡിയോകളും പാകിസ്ഥാനിലേക്ക് അയച്ചുകൊടുത്തിരുന്നു.
പ്രതികളില് ചിലര് മുന്പ് ഭീഷണിപ്പെടുത്താനായി അനധികൃത ആയുധങ്ങള് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന സാധാരണ ക്രിമിനല് പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങളില് ഏര്പ്പെട്ടിരുന്നവരാണ്. സോഷ്യല് മീഡിയ വഴിയാണ് ഇവര് അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറുമായി ബന്ധം സ്ഥാപിച്ചത്. അതിനുശേഷമാണ് ഈ സംഘം ആയുധങ്ങളും മയക്കുമരുന്നുകളും കടത്തുന്ന ഒരു ഭീകര ശൃംഖലയായി മാറിയത്. പ്രതിയായ ആരിഫ് പല യു.പി.ഐ അക്കൗണ്ടുകള് വഴി ഏകദേശം 1 ലക്ഷം രൂപ നല്കിയാണ് അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറില് നിന്ന് ഒരു ജിഗാന പിസ്റ്റള് വാങ്ങിയത്. ഈ ശൃംഖല പിന്നീട് ഹെറോയിന് കടത്തിലേക്കും വ്യാപിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു.
ഗുണ്ടാനേതാവായ ദീപക് അഗ്രോള ജയിലിനുള്ളില് കിടന്നുകൊണ്ട് മൊബൈല് ഫോണ് ഉപയോഗിച്ചാണ് കാര്യങ്ങള് ഏകോപിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നതെന്നും അന്വേഷണത്തില് വ്യക്തമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. അനസ് വഴി അജ്മല് ഗുജ്ജറുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഇയാള് ആയുധങ്ങള് എത്തിക്കാന് സഹായിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഒളിവിലുള്ള മറ്റ് പ്രതികള്, കൂടുതല് ആയുധ വിതരണക്കാര്, മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ശൃംഖലകള്, പാകിസ്ഥാന് കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ചുള്ള ഹാന്ഡ്ലര്മാര് എന്നിവര്ക്കായുള്ള തിരച്ചില് ഡല്ഹി പോലീസ് സ്പെഷ്യല് സെല് തുടരുകയാണ്.
Summary: The Delhi Police have dismantled an international terrorist-crime syndicate with direct links to Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Seven operatives associated with the network of Pakistan-based gangster-turned-terrorist Shahzad Bhatti and his associate Ajmal Gujjar have been arrested.
The arrests, carried out by the Special Cell's Eastern Range team, have successfully prevented planned terrorist attacks in the Delhi-National Capital Region (NCR), along with related activities involving the supply of illegal weapons and narcotics.
Police stated that the module operated under instructions from Pakistan to execute terrorist strikes, smuggle weapons and drugs, and gather intelligence on potential targets. The syndicate smuggled weapons, ammunition, and narcotics such as heroin from Pakistan into India through Punjab.
Conspiracy to Incite Communal Tension
The smuggled consignments were subsequently distributed to various locations across Delhi-NCR. Officials noted that the timely operation foiled several major plots by the network, which was actively preparing for a massive attack in the capital region. Investigations revealed that on the instructions of Shahzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar, members of this module had conducted reconnaissance of crowded public areas, vital installations, and sites linked to religious leaders in Delhi-NCR.
The accused took photographs and videos of these locations and transmitted them to their handlers in Pakistan. Police informed that several religious leaders in the region were also targeted. The primary objective was to create an atmosphere of fear, incite communal tension, and trigger widespread panic among the public.
Acting on precise intelligence regarding the Pakistan-backed network, the police team mapped the syndicate using technical surveillance, mobile phone data analysis, and ground-level intelligence before executing the arrests.
The Arrested Accused:
Anas alias Anas Tyagi (26): A resident of Loni, Ghaziabad. Facing three prior criminal cases, he had been in constant contact with Ajmal Gujjar and Shahzad Bhatti in Pakistan since November 2025.
Mohit alias Yogi (26): A resident of Loni, Ghaziabad. He was in direct contact with Ajmal Gujjar.
Deepak alias Deepak Agrola: A resident of Techno City, Ghaziabad. He is an accused in 23 criminal cases, including charges of murder, robbery, attempt to murder, and provisions under the Gangsters Act.
Arif alias Pradhan: A resident of Loni. He faces cases under the Arms Act and the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
Karanveer Singh: A resident of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. He has a case registered against him under the NDPS Act.
Jatan: A resident of Techno City. He faces cases related to attempt to murder.
Sabir: A resident of Loni, Ghaziabad.
Seized Contraband and Items
During the operation, the police recovered the following items from the possession of the accused:
5 sophisticated semi-automatic pistols
41 live cartridges (bullets)
7 mobile phones containing chats and voice notes linking them to Shahzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar
A Scorpio vehicle
Details of multiple bank accounts used to transfer proceeds from the sale of weapons and drugs
Drone-Assisted Smuggling and Social Media Recruitment
The investigation revealed that Shahzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar used social media platforms and encrypted messaging applications to lure Indian youth, offering money and promising quick financial gains through criminal activities. Once recruited, they were drawn into arms supply, reconnaissance work, drug smuggling, and terrorist operations.
A major breakthrough in the case came in May 2026, when the Special Cell received confidential information that Shahzad Bhatti and Ajmal Gujjar were planning an attack in Delhi-NCR.
Mohit was arrested near the Bhagirath Water Treatment Plant in Yamuna Vihar. Officers recovered an illegal pistol, four live cartridges, and a mobile phone from him. An examination of the device exposed his communications with Ajmal Gujjar. During interrogation, Mohit disclosed that he and his associates had been tasked with smuggling weapons and drugs.
Further probe established that the weapon and drug consignments were delivered from Pakistan into Punjab using drones. Syndicate members, including Anas and Karanveer Singh, were dispatched to Punjab to receive and transport the materials to Delhi-NCR. They confessed during interrogation that they had conducted reconnaissance of religious leaders, public places, and sensitive sites in Delhi-NCR on instructions from Shahzad Bhatti. Images and videos of these targets were subsequently transmitted to Pakistan.
Officials believe that without this timely intervention, the group could have executed a major crime. Some of the accused were previously involved in petty criminal activities using illegal weapons for intimidation. They established contact with Ajmal Gujjar via social media, after which the group evolved into a full-fledged terrorist network dealing in arms and drug smuggling. For instance, the accused Arif purchased a Jigana pistol from Ajmal Gujjar for approximately ₹1 lakh through multiple UPI accounts. The network later expanded into smuggling heroin.
The investigation also revealed that gangster Deepak Agrola was coordinating operations from inside the prison using a mobile phone. He contacted Ajmal Gujjar through Anas and assisted in arranging the arms shipments. The Delhi Police Special Cell is continuing its search for other absconding accused, additional arms suppliers, drug networks, and the Pakistan-based handlers.
