എന്നിവരാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഔദ്യോഗിക കൃത്യനിര്വഹണത്തിനിടെ പരമമായ ത്യാഗം സഹിച്ച ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരുടെ വേര്പാടില് ഇന്ത്യന് വ്യോമസേന അഗാധമായ ദുഃഖം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.
ഇന്ന് രാവിലെ ഏകദേശം 10:00 മണിയോടെ ജോര്ഹട്ടില് പതിവ് പറക്കലിനിടെയാണ് വിമാനം അപകടത്തില്പ്പെട്ടത്. ലാന്ഡിംഗിനിടെ എയര്ഫോഴ്സ് സ്റ്റേഷന് പരിസരത്ത് വിമാനം തകരുകയും ഉടന് തന്നെ തീപിടിത്തമുണ്ടാവുകയും ചെയ്തതായാണ് പ്രാഥമിക റിപ്പോര്ട്ടുകള് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്.

സോവിയറ്റ് യൂണിയനില് നിര്മ്മിച്ച, ഇരട്ട എഞ്ചിനുള്ള ടര്ബോപ്രോപ്പ് മിലിട്ടറി ട്രാന്സ്പോര്ട്ട് വിമാനമാണ് അന്റോനോവ് എഎന് 32. ഇന്ത്യന് വ്യോമസേനയുടെ 'വര്ക്ക് ഹോഴ്സ്' (പ്രധാന പടക്കുതിര) എന്നാണ് ഇത് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത്. ഏകദേശം 100 എഎന് 32 വിമാനങ്ങള് നിലവില് ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്കുണ്ട്.
ഉയര്ന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലും ഉഷ്ണമേഖലാ കാലാവസ്ഥയിലും മികച്ച രീതിയില് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കാന് ഇവയ്ക്ക് സാധിക്കും. 7.5 ടണ് കാര്ഗോ, അല്ലെങ്കില് 50 യാത്രക്കാര്, അല്ലെങ്കില് 42 പാരാട്രൂപ്പര്മാരെ ഇതില് കൊണ്ടുപോകാന് സാധിക്കും. ദുര്ഗമമായ പ്രദേശങ്ങളില് അവശ്യസാധനങ്ങള് എത്തിക്കാന് ഇത് വ്യാപകമായി ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.
അസമിലെ കര്ബി ആംഗ് ലോങ് ജില്ലയില് സുഖോയ് യുദ്ധവിമാനം തകര്ന്ന് രണ്ട് പൈലറ്റുമാര് കൊല്ലപ്പെട്ടതിന് മാസങ്ങള്ക്ക് ശേഷമാണ് ഈ അപകടം നടക്കുന്നത്. മാര്ച്ച് 5-ന് ജോര്ഹട്ട് എയര്ഫോഴ്സ് സ്റ്റേഷനില് നിന്ന് പറന്നുയര്ന്ന ആ വിമാനത്തിന് ഗ്രൗണ്ട് കണ്ട്രോളുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം നഷ്ടപ്പെടുകയും പിന്നീട് തകരുകയുമായിരുന്നു.

The Indian Air Force deeply regretted the loss of these personnel, who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty.
The aircraft met with the accident during a routine sortie at approximately 10:00 AM today at Jorhat. According to initial reports, the aircraft went down within the Air Force Station premises while landing, triggering a fire immediately.
Emergency response teams were instantly deployed to control the situation at the crash site and conduct initial inquiries. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be ascertained. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma stated that the Air Force has launched an investigation into the incident.
The Antonov AN-32 is a Soviet-era, twin-engine turboprop military transport aircraft. It is famously known as the 'workhorse' of the Indian Air Force. Currently, the IAF operates a fleet of about 100 AN-32 aircraft.
Capabilities: It is designed to perform exceptionally well in high-altitude environments and hot tropical climates.
Capacity: It can transport up to 7.5 tons of cargo, 50 passengers, or 42 paratroopers. It is extensively used for supply drops in remote and inaccessible regions.
This accident comes months after two pilots were killed when a Sukhoi fighter jet crashed in Assam's Karbi Anglong district. On March 5, that aircraft had taken off from the Jorhat Air Force Station for a routine sortie, lost contact with ground control, and subsequently crashed.
