2019 ജനുവരി 1-ന് (ബിന്ദു അമ്മിണിയും കനകദുര്‍ഗ്ഗയും മലകയറുന്നതിന്റെ തലേദിവസം) പത്മകുമാര്‍ സ്വാമി അയ്യപ്പന്‍ റോഡിലൂടെ സന്നിധാനത്തേക്ക് നടന്നുപോകുന്നതിനിടയില്‍, ഭരണരംഗത്തെ ഉന്നതനായ ഒരു വ്യക്തിയുടെ ഫോണ്‍ കോള്‍ വന്നു. യാത്ര അടിയന്തരമായി റദ്ദാക്കി മലയിറങ്ങാനും, പാര്‍ട്ടിയിലും സര്‍ക്കാരിലും ശക്തമായ സ്വാധീനമുള്ള തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ ഒരു മുതിര്‍ന്ന നേതാവിനെ നേരിട്ടുകണ്ട് സംസാരിക്കാനും അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് കര്‍ശന നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം വന്നു.

നിര്‍ദ്ദേശമനുസരിച്ച് പത്മകുമാര്‍ അന്നുരാത്രി ഒരുമണിയോടെ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തുള്ള ആ പ്രമുഖ നേതാവിന്റെ വസതിയിലെത്തി. എന്നാല്‍ സുരക്ഷാ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അകത്തേക്ക് കടത്തിവിട്ടില്ല. ആ വിളിപ്പിച്ച വ്യക്തിയെ ഫോണില്‍ ബന്ധപ്പെടാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചെങ്കിലും പ്രതികരണമുണ്ടായില്ല. ഒടുവില്‍, പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 5:30-ന് നേതാവിന്റെ പ്രഭാത നടത്തത്തിനിടയില്‍ മാത്രമേ കാണാന്‍ കഴിയൂ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അറിയിച്ചു. ഇതോടെ പത്മകുമാര്‍ തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ തന്റെ താമസ സ്ഥലത്തേയ്ക്കു പോയി.

നേതാവിനെ കാണാന്‍ പോകുന്നതിന് തൊട്ടുമുമ്പ്, പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 5:00 മണിക്ക് പത്മകുമാര്‍ ടിവി തുറന്നപ്പോഴാണ് ബിന്ദു അമ്മിണിയും കനകദുര്‍ഗ്ഗയും പോലീസ് സംരക്ഷണയില്‍ സന്നിധാനത്ത് പ്രവേശിച്ച് ദര്‍ശനം നടത്തിക്കഴിഞ്ഞെന്ന വാര്‍ത്ത കാണുന്നത്.

ഇതോടെ, തന്നെ സന്നിധാനത്ത് നിന്ന് മനഃപൂര്‍വ്വം മാറ്റിനിര്‍ത്താന്‍ വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഈ യാത്ര സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചതെന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. പിന്നീട് ആ മുതിര്‍ന്ന നേതാവിനെ കണ്ടപ്പോള്‍ 'എന്നോട് ഈ ചതി ചെയ്യരുതായിരുന്നു' എന്ന് പത്മകുമാര്‍ നേരിട്ട് പറയുകയും ചെയ്തുവെന്നാണ് പുറത്തുവരുന്ന റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍.

സമാനമായ രീതിയില്‍, സന്നിധാനത്തെ ക്രമസമാധാന ചുമതലയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഐ.ജി. എസ്. ശ്രീജിത്തിനെയും കൃത്യമായി അന്നുതന്നെ പോലീസ് ആസ്ഥാനത്തേക്ക് വിളിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ പറയുന്നു. പത്മകുമാറിനെയും ശ്രീജിത്തിനെയും സന്നിധാനത്തു നിന്നു മാറ്റി നിറുത്തിയ ശേഷമായിരുന്നു യുവതീ പ്രവേശം നടത്തിയത്. ശ്രീജിത്ത് പിന്നീട് സന്നിധാനത്ത് കണ്ണീരോടെ പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രം പുറത്തുവന്നതും ഇതുമായി കൂട്ടിവായിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. യുവതീ പ്രവേശം ആര്‍ക്കൊക്കെയോ വേണ്ടി ബോധപൂര്‍വം നടത്തിയ നാടകമായിരുന്നുവെന്നാണ് ഇതോടെ വ്യക്തമാവുന്നത്.

സംഭവത്തിന് തൊട്ടുപിന്നാലെ പത്മകുമാര്‍ രാജിക്കത്ത് തയ്യാറാക്കിയിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും, നാട്ടുകാരനായ ഒരു അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്ത് ഇടപെട്ടാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അതില്‍ നിന്ന് പിന്തിരിപ്പിച്ചത്.

പാര്‍ട്ടി അംഗത്വം പത്മകുമാര്‍ പുതുക്കിയിട്ടില്ല. ഫലത്തില്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ഇപ്പോള്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടിക്കു പുറത്താണ്. അതിനാല്‍ അദ്ദേഹത്തിനെതിരേ നടപടി എടുക്കുക സിപിഎമ്മിന് അസാദ്ധ്യമാണ്. പിന്നെ അദ്ദേഹത്തെ തള്ളിപ്പറയുക മാത്രമാണ് സാദ്ധ്യമായ വഴി.

Padmakumar claims that someone else inserted the word 'copper' into the official Devaswom documents regarding the Sabarimala gold. He reveals that there was intense pressure from higher-ups to sign these documents containing notes that were not his own.

He has hinted that the autobiography will unmask a "god-like" top figure in the government administration who worked behind the gold heist case and created crises for him. This disclosure is expected to create major ripples in both Pathanamthitta politics and at the state level.

In connection with this case, Padmakumar had previously been taken into custody and questioned by a special investigation team. These actions were based on the statements of the chief priests (Thantris), Kandararu Rajeevaru and Kandararu Mohanaru.

The events that transpired at the Sannidhanam during the days of women's entry and the midnight journeys are not mere recollections. Padmakumar had meticulously recorded all these incidents daily in his personal diary. The chapters of the autobiography are being prepared based on these records, which enhances the credibility of the revelations.

The book also details the severe administrative pressures he faced and the neglect he suffered from the party while serving as the head of the State Cooperative Guarantee Administrative Committee. In addition to the Devaswom Board issues, certain disputes within the cooperative sector will also come to light through the book.

Since Padmakumar has not renewed his party membership, disciplinary action is technically impossible. However, the party harbors another fear: the CPM leadership worries that if they completely reject and expel Padmakumar, he will publicly expose more high-level interventions regarding the gold heist case and Sabarimala. Therefore, backstage efforts are underway to settle the issue quietly without turning it into a major public controversy.

Reports suggest that the government leadership realized that certain individuals could not be present at the Sannidhanam if their political agenda regarding women's entry was to succeed. To achieve this, Padmakumar—who was then the Devaswom Board President—and IG S. Sreejith—who was in charge of security at Sabarimala at the time—were deliberately removed from the Sannidhanam, as per the details emerging from the book.

Padmakumar had previously given indications of standing with the believers by publicly declaring that not a single woman from his family would enter Sabarimala. This is reportedly the reason why he was removed from Sabarimala. IG S. Sreejith, who was a devout devotee of Lord Ayyappa, also respected the traditional beliefs.

On January 1, 2019 (the day before Bindu Ammini and Kanakadurga climbed the hill), while Padmakumar was walking towards the Sannidhanam via the Swami Ayyappan Road, he received a phone call from a top official in the administration. He was strictly instructed to cancel his journey immediately, head down the hill, and meet a senior leader in Thiruvananthapuram who held powerful influence in both the party and the government.

Following the instructions, Padmakumar reached the prominent leader's residence in Thiruvananthapuram at around 1:00 AM that night. However, the security personnel did not allow him inside. Although he tried to contact the person who had summoned him over the phone, there was no response. Finally, he was informed that he could only meet the leader during his morning walk at 5:30 AM. Following this, Padmakumar went to his place of accommodation in Thiruvananthapuram.

Just before going to meet the leader, at around 5:00 AM, Padmakumar turned on the television and saw the news that Bindu Ammini and Kanakadurga had already entered the Sannidhanam and offered prayers under police protection.

With this, he realized that this journey had been orchestrated deliberately to keep him away from the Sannidhanam. Reports indicate that when he later met the senior leader, Padmakumar told him directly, "You shouldn't have betrayed me like this."

The report notes that in a similar manner, IG S. Sreejith was also summoned to the Police Headquarters from his law-and-order duties at the Sannidhanam on that very same day. The entry of the women was carried out only after removing both Padmakumar and Sreejith from the Sannidhanam. The subsequent emergence of a photograph showing Sreejith praying with tears in his eyes at the Sannidhanam can be read in conjunction with this. This makes it clear that the women's entry was a pre-planned drama staged for the benefit of certain quarters.

Although Padmakumar had prepared his resignation letter immediately after the incident, a close friend from his native place intervened and dissuaded him from moving forward with it.

Padmakumar has not renewed his party membership, which effectively places him outside the party. Consequently, it is impossible for the CPM to take disciplinary action against him, leaving public rejection as their only viable option.
