കൊച്ചി: മലയാള ചലച്ചിത്ര താരങ്ങളുടെ സംഘടനയായ 'അമ്മ' യ്ക്കുള്ളില്‍ വലിയ ആഭ്യന്തര കലഹങ്ങളും ചേരിപ്പോരും വീണ്ടും രൂക്ഷമായി. താരസംഘടനയുടെ എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് അംഗവും നടനുമായ ടിനി ടോമിനെതിരെ ഗുരുതര ആരോപണങ്ങളുമായി നടി നീനാ കുറുപ്പ് രംഗത്തെത്തിയതോടെ സംഘടനയ്ക്കുള്ളിലെ തര്‍ക്കങ്ങള്‍ പുതിയ തലത്തിലേക്ക് കടന്നിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ടിനി ടോം തന്നെ പരസ്യമായി അധിക്ഷേപിച്ചെന്നും കയ്യേറ്റം ചെയ്യാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചെന്നും കാണിച്ച് നീനാ കുറുപ്പ് 'അമ്മ'യുടെ പ്രസിഡന്റിനും ജനറല്‍ സെക്രട്ടറിക്കും ഔദ്യോഗികമായി പരാതി നല്‍കി.

ഫെബ്രുവരിയില്‍ നടന്ന 'അമ്മ'യുടെ ഒരു കുടുംബസംഗമത്തിനിടെ ടിനി ടോം പരസ്യമായി തന്നോട് അശ്ലീലം പറയുകയും കേട്ടാല്‍ അറയ്ക്കുന്ന ഭാഷയില്‍ അസഭ്യവര്‍ഷം നടത്തുകയും ചെയ്തുവെന്ന് നീന പരാതിയില്‍ പറയുന്നു.

തന്നെ ശാരീരികമായി കൈയേറ്റം ചെയ്യാനും മര്‍ദിക്കാനും ടിനി ടോം മുതിര്‍ന്നു. അവിടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന മറ്റ് സംഘടനാംഗങ്ങള്‍ ഇടപെട്ട് ടിനിയെ പിടിച്ച് മാറ്റിയതുകൊണ്ടാണ് തനിക്ക് മര്‍ദനമേല്‍ക്കാതിരുന്നതെന്നും നീന വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി.

ഇത് ഒരു ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ട സംഭവമല്ലെന്നും സംഘടനയിലെ മറ്റ് പല അംഗങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ടിനി ടോമില്‍ നിന്ന് ഇത്തരം ക്രൂരമായ പെരുമാറ്റങ്ങള്‍ നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും നീന പറയുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ സിനിമയിലെ തങ്ങളുടെ കരിയറിനെ ബാധിക്കുമോ എന്ന ഭയത്താല്‍ പല വനിതാ അംഗങ്ങളും ഇത് പുറത്തുപറയാന്‍ മടിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് അവര്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.

മറ്റൊരു വനിതാ എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് അംഗമായ അന്‍സിബ ഹസനെ മതതീവ്രവാദിയാക്കാന്‍ ടിനി ടോം ശ്രമിച്ചതിന് താന്‍ സാക്ഷിയാണെന്നും, ആ അംഗത്തിനെതിരെ രണ്ടാനച്ഛനെ വരെ ചേര്‍ത്ത് ലൈംഗിക കഥകള്‍ ചമച്ച് വ്യക്തിഹത്യ നടത്താന്‍ ടിനി ശ്രമിച്ചെന്നും നീനാ കുറുപ്പ് ആരോപിക്കുന്നു. ടിനിക്കെതിരെ ശക്തമായ അച്ചടക്ക നടപടി വേണമെന്നാണ് നീനയുടെ ആവശ്യം.

'അമ്മ'യുടെ ജോയിന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് നടി അന്‍സിബ ഹസ്സന്‍ പെട്ടെന്ന് രാജിവച്ചതായിരുന്നു ഈ വിവാദങ്ങളുടെ തുടക്കം. വ്യക്തിപരമായ കാരണങ്ങളാലാണ് രാജി എന്ന് ആദ്യ ഘട്ടത്തില്‍ പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നെങ്കിലും, ടിനി ടോമും മറ്റൊരു വനിതാ എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് അംഗവും ചേര്‍ന്ന് തന്നെ ക്രൂരമായി വ്യക്തിഹത്യ ചെയ്തതിനാലാണ് താന്‍ രാജിവച്ചതെന്ന് അന്‍സിബ പിന്നീട് മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് തുറന്നടിച്ചു.

ഫെബ്രുവരിയില്‍ നടന്ന ഒരു പരിപാടിക്ക് മതപരമായ ഒരു സ്ഥാപനം ടൈറ്റില്‍ സ്‌പോണ്‍സര്‍ ആകുന്നതിനെ അന്‍സിബ എതിര്‍ത്തിരുന്നു. ഇതിന് പിന്നാലെ ടിനി ടോം തനിക്കെതിരെ വലിയ രീതിയില്‍ അപവാദ പ്രചാരണങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തിയെന്നും, തന്നെ 'ജിഹാദി' എന്ന് വിളിച്ച് വര്‍ഗീയമായി അധിക്ഷേപിച്ചെന്നും അന്‍സിബ ആരോപിച്ചു. ടിനി ടോമിന്റെ ഡ്രൈവറെ അന്‍സിബ മതം മാറ്റാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചു എന്ന രീതിയിലുള്ള വ്യാജ കഥകള്‍ ഇന്‍ഡസ്ട്രിയില്‍ പ്രചരിപ്പിച്ചതായും അന്‍സിബ പറഞ്ഞു.

ശ്വേതാ മേനോന്‍, അന്‍സിബാ ഹസന്‍

ഒരു സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകന്റെ കുടുംബ തര്‍ക്കവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് തെറ്റിദ്ധാരണാജനകമായ ഒരു സന്ദേശത്തിന്റെ പേരില്‍ തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ മൂന്ന് മണിക്കൂറിലധികം തനിക്ക് മാനസിക പീഡനം നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നെന്നും അന്‍സിബ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി. എന്നാല്‍ ഈ വിഷയത്തില്‍ സംഘടനയുടെ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ശ്വേതാ മേനോനോട് പരാതിപ്പെട്ടപ്പോള്‍ 'ഇതിന് 'അമ്മ'യുമായി യാതൊരു ബന്ധവുമില്ല' എന്ന നിലപാടാണ് സ്വീകരിച്ചതെന്നും, ടിനി ടോം ഈ വിഷയത്തെ വളരെ നിസ്സാരവല്‍ക്കരിച്ച് തള്ളിക്കളഞ്ഞെന്നും അന്‍സിബ കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി.

ടിനി ടോമിന്റെ മറുപടി

തനിക്കെതിരെ ഉയര്‍ന്ന എല്ലാ ആരോപണങ്ങളും ടിനി ടോം പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായി നിഷേധിച്ചു. താന്‍ ആരെയും അധിക്ഷേപിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നും ഇതിന് പിന്നില്‍ സംഘടനയ്ക്കുള്ളില്‍ തനിക്കെതിരെ നടക്കുന്ന വലിയൊരു ഗൂഢാലോചനയാണെന്നുമാണ് ടിനിയുടെ വാദം. തന്റെ അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തുക്കളിലും ഗുരുക്കന്മാരിലും ഭൂരിഭാഗവും മുസ്ലിം സമുദായത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ടവരാണെന്നും താന്‍ ആരെയും വര്‍ഗീയമായി അധിക്ഷേപിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. കേട്ടുകേള്‍വിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് അന്‍സിബ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതെന്നും ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് പിന്നില്‍ മറ്റാരുടെയെങ്കിലും അജണ്ടയുണ്ടോ എന്ന് വ്യക്തമല്ലെന്നും ടിനി പ്രതികരിച്ചു.

നീനാ കുറുപ്പിന്റെ പരാതിയും വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ജനറല്‍ ബോഡി യോഗത്തില്‍ പ്രധാന ചര്‍ച്ചാവിഷയമാകും. ഉന്നത ഭാരവാഹികള്‍ വനിതാ ശാക്തീകരണത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ സംഘടനയ്ക്കുള്ളില്‍ വനിതാ പ്രതിനിധികള്‍ക്ക് നേരെ ഇത്തരം അതിക്രമങ്ങള്‍ നടക്കുന്നത് അംഗീകരിക്കാനാവില്ലെന്ന കടുത്ത നിലപാടിലാണ് ഒരു വിഭാഗം താരങ്ങള്‍.

Summary:  Internal strife and factional feuds have once again intensified within the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). The disputes within the star organization have escalated to a new level after actress Neena Kurup came forward with serious allegations against actor and AMMA executive member, Tini Tom. Neena Kurup has filed an official complaint with AMMA's President and General Secretary, alleging that Tini Tom publicly insulted and attempted to physically assault her.

Abuse and Attempted Assault: In her complaint, Neena states that during an AMMA family gathering held in February, Tini Tom publicly hurled obscenities at her and subjected her to highly abusive language.

Narrow Escape from Physical Assault: She revealed that Tini Tom even attempted to physically manhandle and assault her. Neena stated that she escaped being beaten only because other organization members intervened and pulled Tini away.

Fear Among Female Members: Neena pointed out that this is not an isolated incident and that several other members within the organization have faced similar harsh behavior from Tini Tom. However, she added that many female members are hesitant to speak out, fearing it might adversely affect their film careers.

Character Assassination: Neena Kurup also alleged that she was a witness to Tini Tom's attempts to brand another female executive member (Ansiba Hassan) as a religious extremist. She further claimed that Tini attempted character assassination by fabricating sexual stories involving that member and her stepfather. Neena has demanded strict disciplinary action against Tini.

The Origin of the Controversy: Ansiba Hassan's Resignation

The genesis of these controversies began earlier when actress Ansiba Hassan abruptly resigned from her post as Joint Secretary of AMMA. Although it was initially stated that her resignation was due to personal reasons, Ansiba later lashed out to the media, revealing that she resigned because Tini Tom and another female executive member had brutally subjected her to character assassination.

Communal Slurs: In February, Ansiba had opposed a religious institution becoming the title sponsor for an event. Following this, she alleged that Tini Tom launched a massive smear campaign against her, communalizing the issue and calling her a "Jihadi." Ansiba also claimed that fake stories were circulated within the industry alleging that she tried to religiously convert Tini Tom's driver.

Police Harassment and Neglect by AMMA: Ansiba further disclosed that she had to endure mental harassment for over three hours at the Thrippunithura police station over a misleading message related to a colleague's family dispute. However, when she complained about this to the organization's President, Shwetha Menon, the stance taken was that "this has nothing to do with AMMA." She criticized Tini Tom for completely trivializing and dismissing the matter.

Tini Tom's Response

Tini Tom completely denied all the allegations leveled against him. He claimed that he had insulted no one and argued that these allegations were part of a larger conspiracy being hatched against him within the organization. He stated that the majority of his close friends and mentors belong to the Muslim community and maintained that he has never insulted anyone on communal lines. Tini responded that Ansiba was speaking based on hearsay and added that it remains unclear whether there is someone else's agenda behind these accusations.

With the issue turning into a major embarrassment, the office-bearers are scrambling to settle the disputes ahead of the organization's Annual General Body Meeting scheduled for June. The executive committee has directed Ansiba to come to the organization's office so they can hear her grievance directly. Neena Kurup's complaint will also be a major talking point in the upcoming General Body meeting. A section of actors has taken a strict stance, stating that while top office-bearers talk at length about women empowerment, such atrocities against female representatives within the organization cannot be tolerated.
