കണ്ണൂര്: മുന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയന്റെ കണ്ണൂര് പിണറായി പാണ്ഡ്യാലമുക്കിലെ വീടിന് മുന്നില് 10 വര്ഷമായി പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചു വന്നിരുന്ന 'ജീപ്പ് സ്റ്റേഷന്' മാറ്റാന് ഉന്നത പൊലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര് തീരുമാനിച്ചു. സെക്യൂരിറ്റി റിവ്യൂ കമ്മിറ്റി ഉടന് തന്നെ യോഗം ചേര്ന്ന് ഇക്കാര്യത്തില് കണ്ണൂര് പൊലീസിന് ഔദ്യോഗിക നിര്ദേശം നല്കും. യോഗത്തിന്റെ മിനിട്സ് ലഭിക്കുന്നതോടെ ജീപ്പ് അവിടെനിന്ന് മാറ്റാനാകുമെന്നാണ് പൊലീസ് അധികൃതരുടെ പ്രതീക്ഷ.
വിജയന് മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയാപ്പോള് സുരക്ഷാ പ്രശ്നങ്ങള് മുന്നിര്ത്തിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വീടിന് മുന്നില് പൊലീസ് കാവല് ഏര്പ്പെടുത്തിയത്. പൊലീസുകാര്ക്ക് വിശ്രമിക്കാനായി ബാറ്ററി ഇളക്കി മാറ്റി ടാറ്റാ സുമോ മുഖ്യന്ത്രിയുടെ വീട്ടിനു സമീപത്ത് കൊണ്ടിടുകയായിരുന്നു. ഡ്യൂട്ടിയിലുള്ള പൊലീസുകാര്ക്ക് വിശ്രമിക്കാനും രേഖകള് സൂക്ഷിക്കാനുമായിട്ടാണ് ഈ പൊലീസ് കാര് നിര്ത്തിയിട്ടിരുന്നത്. 2014 മോഡല് കെഎല് 01 ബിആര് 9569 സുമോയാണ് ഇത്തരത്തില് 'പൊലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷനായി' ഉപയോഗിച്ചുവന്നത്.
ഭരണമാറ്റം ഉണ്ടായതോടെയാണ് ഈ ജീപ്പ് സ്റ്റേഷനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വാര്ത്തകള് സജീവമായത്. പിണറായി വിജയന് പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവായിട്ടും ഈ സംവിധാനം തുടരുകയാണ്.
ഇവിടെ ഡ്യൂട്ടി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്ക്ക് പ്രാഥമിക ആവശ്യങ്ങള്ക്കായി ശൗചാലയം പോലും ലഭ്യമായിരുന്നില്ല. തുടക്കത്തില് തൊട്ടടുത്ത വീടുകളിലെ ശൗചാലയങ്ങളെയായിരുന്നു ആശ്രയിച്ചിരുന്നത്. പിന്നീട് സമീപത്ത് 'ത്രിവേണി സൂപ്പര് മാര്ക്കറ്റ്' ആരംഭിച്ചതോടെ അവിടുത്തെ ശൗചാലയമാണ് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ കാര് മാറ്റുന്നതോടെ, പതിറ്റാണ്ടായി 24 മണിക്കൂറും ഊഴമിട്ട് ഈ വാഹനത്തില് കഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരുന്ന പൊലീസുകാരുടെ ദുരിതത്തിനാണ് അവസാനമാകുന്നത്.

News about this 'jeep station' gained traction following the change of government. Even though Pinarayi Vijayan has now become the Leader of the Opposition, this system continues to function.
Since the vehicle is damaged, it cannot be driven now. If it is to be moved, it will have to be towed away. The police personnel used to spend their time inside this car during heavy rain and scorching heat. Six police personnel from the AR Camp, led by a Grade SI, were posted here for residential duty on a shift basis. Two police officers and an SI would be on duty at any given time.
The officials on duty here did not even have access to a toilet for their primary needs. Initially, they relied on toilets in nearby houses. Later, when a 'Triveni Supermarket' opened nearby, they started using the toilet there. With the removal of this car, the hardships of the police officers who have been suffering for a decade, taking turns 24 hours a day inside this vehicle, will finally come to an end.
