ബക്രീദിന് 27, 28 ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ അവധി; സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഉത്തരവിറങ്ങി

തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ബക്രീദ് പ്രമാണിച്ച് മേയ് 27, 28 ദിവസങ്ങളില്‍ കേരള സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ പൊതു അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു. കലണ്ടര്‍ പ്രകാരമുള്ള അവധിദിനം മേയ് 27-നാണ്. എന്നാല്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ ബക്രീദ് ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത് 28-ന് ആയതിനാലാണ് പുതിയ തീരുമാനം.

എല്ലാ സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഓഫിസുകള്‍ക്കും പൊതുമേഖലാ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും പ്രഫഷനല്‍ കോളജുകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള എല്ലാ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും 28-ാം തീയതി അവധിയായിരിക്കും.

ബക്രീദ് ആഘോഷങ്ങള്‍ക്കായി ആളുകള്‍ക്ക് കൂടുതല്‍ സൗകര്യം ഒരുക്കുന്നതിനാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഈ അധിക അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

നെഗോഷ്യബിള്‍ ഇന്‍സ്ട്രുമെന്റ്‌സ് ആക്ട് പ്രകാരം വരുന്ന സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്‍ക്കും ഈ അവധി ബാധകമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. 

കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരും സുപ്രീം കോടതിയും ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശ്, തെലങ്കാന തുടങ്ങിയ സംസ്ഥാനങ്ങളും നേരത്തെ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്ന അവധി മാറ്റി മെയ് 28-ലേക്ക് പുതുക്കി നിശ്ചയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നാഷണല്‍ സ്റ്റോക്ക് എക്‌സ്‌ചേഞ്ചും മേയ് 28 വിപണി അവധിയായി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ ജമ്മു കശ്മീരില്‍ മേയ് 27-നാണ് പെരുന്നാള്‍ ആഘോഷിക്കുന്നത്.

All government offices, public sector undertakings, and educational institutions, including professional colleges, will remain closed on May 28. The government has announced this additional holiday to offer more convenience to the public for Bakrid celebrations.

This holiday is also made applicable to institutions coming under the Negotiable Instruments Act.

The Central Government, the Supreme Court, and states like Andhra Pradesh and Telangana have also revised their earlier schedule and moved the holiday to May 28. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) has similarly declared May 28 as a market holiday. However, Jammu and Kashmir will celebrate the festival on May 27.
