ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സംഗീതലോകത്തെ വിസ്മയമായ ആശാ ഭോസ്ലെ തന്റെ സംഗീത യാത്രയില്‍ മലയാളത്തിന് സമ്മാനിച്ചത് വളരെ ചുരുക്കം ഗാനങ്ങളാണെങ്കിലും, ആ ശബ്ദം മലയാളി മനസ്സുകളില്‍ ആഴത്തില്‍ പതിഞ്ഞതാണ്. 

'സ്വയംവര ശുഭദിന മംഗളങ്ങള്‍'

ആശാ ഭോസ്ലെ മലയാളത്തില്‍ പാടിയ ഏറ്റവും ജനപ്രിയമായ ഗാനമാണിത്. 1977-ല്‍ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ 'സുജാത' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തിന് വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഈ ഗാനം ആലപിച്ചത്.

അക്കാലത്ത് മറ്റ് ഭാഷാ ഗായകര്‍ മലയാളത്തില്‍ പാടുന്നത് അപൂര്‍വ്വമായിരുന്നു. താളത്തില്‍ തംബുരു... എന്ന ഗാനത്തിലും അവരുടെ ശബ്ദം ഉപയോഗിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.
