കുടക് വനത്തില്‍ കുടങ്ങിയ ശരണ്യയെ നാലാം നാള്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി, സുരക്ഷിതയെന്നു റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്

കുടക്: കുടകിലെ തടിയന്‍ഡമോള്‍ മലനിരകളില്‍ ട്രക്കിങ്ങിനിടെ കാണാതായ കോഴിക്കോട് നാദാപുരം സ്വദേശിനി ജി.എസ്. ശരണ്യയെ നാല് ദിവസമായി തുടരുന്ന തിരച്ചിലിനൊടുവില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി. ശരണ്യ സുരക്ഷിതയാണെന്നു റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ പറയുന്നു.

കൊച്ചിയില്‍ സോഫ്റ്റ്വെയര്‍ എഞ്ചിനീയറായി ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്ന ശരണ്യ ഏപ്രില്‍ 2-ന് (വ്യാഴാഴ്ച) ഒറ്റയ്ക്കാണ് കുടകിലെത്തിയത്. തടിയന്‍ഡമോള്‍ കൊടുമുടി കയറാനായിരുന്നു യാത്ര.

വന്യമൃഗശല്യമുള്ളതിനാല്‍ ഒറ്റയ്ക്ക് പോകാന്‍ വനംവകുപ്പ് അനുമതി നല്‍കാത്തതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് മറ്റൊരു 10 അംഗ സംഘത്തിനൊപ്പമാണ് ശരണ്യ മലകയറിയത്. എന്നാല്‍ നടത്തത്തിനിടെ സംഘത്തില്‍ നിന്നു ശരണ്യ ഒറ്റപ്പെട്ടുപോയി.

വ്യാഴാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് രണ്ട് മണിയോടെ തനിക്ക് വഴിതെറ്റിയതായി ശരണ്യ ഹോംസ്റ്റേ അധികൃതരെ ഫോണില്‍ വിളിച്ച് അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ഫോണ്‍ പരിധിക്ക് പുറത്താവുകയും സ്വിച്ച് ഓഫ് ആവുകയും ചെയ്തു.

കര്‍ണാടക പൊലീസും വനംവകുപ്പും നാട്ടുകാരും അടങ്ങുന്ന വലിയൊരു സംഘമാണ് തിരച്ചില്‍ നടത്തിയത്. ഏകദേശം 150-ഓളം പേര്‍ തിരച്ചിലില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തു. ഡ്രോണുകളും സ്‌നിഫര്‍ ഡോഗുകളും ഉപയോഗിച്ചായിരുന്നു പരിശോധന.

നാലാം ദിവസമായ ഇന്ന് (ഞായറാഴ്ച) വനത്തിലെ ഒരു ഭാഗത്ത് ശരണ്യയെ കണ്ടെത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. ശരണ്യ കുടുങ്ങിക്കിടന്ന സ്ഥലത്തേക്ക് എം.എല്‍.എ അടക്കമുള്ള ജനപ്രതിനിധികളും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും എത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. തടിയന്‍ഡമോള്‍ മലനിരകള്‍ കര്‍ണാടകയിലെ ഉയരം കൂടിയ രണ്ടാമത്തെ കൊടുമുടിയാണ്.

നിലവില്‍ ശരണ്യയുടെ ആരോഗ്യനില തൃപ്തികരമാണെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. എങ്കിലും കൂടുതല്‍ പരിശോധനകള്‍ക്കായി മടിക്കേരി മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജിലേക്ക് മാറ്റാനാണ് സാധ്യത.

നാദാപുരം ഇയ്യങ്കോട് സ്വദേശിനിയാണ്. വടകര താലൂക്ക് കാര്‍ഷിക വികസന ബാങ്കില്‍ നിന്ന് വിരമിച്ച ഗോപിയുടെയും ഷൈലജയുടെയും മകളാണ്.

ഏറെ ആശങ്കയോടെ കേരളം കാത്തിരുന്ന ഈ വാര്‍ത്തയ്ക്ക് ശുഭകരമായ അന്ത്യം ലഭിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ഇതിനോടകം തന്നെ ശരണ്യയുടെ ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ കുടകിലെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Summary:  In a major relief, G.S. Saranya (36), a native of Nadapuram, Kozhikode, who went missing during a trekking expedition in the Tadiandamol mountain ranges, has been found. After an intensive four-day search operation, reports confirm that she is safe.

Saranya, a software engineer working in Kochi, arrived in Kodagu alone on Thursday, April 2, with the intention of scaling the Tadiandamol peak. Due to the presence of wild animals, the Forest Department denied her permission to trek alone. Consequently, she joined another 10-member group to begin the climb. However, she got separated from the group during the trek.

Around 2:00 PM, Saranya contacted her homestay authorities via phone, informing them that she had lost her way. Shortly after, her phone went out of range and was later switched off.

A massive search was launched involving the Karnataka Police, Forest Department, and local residents. Approximately 150 personnel participated in the mission, assisted by drones and sniffer dogs.

On Sunday, the fourth day of the search, she was located in a section of the forest. Local representatives, including the MLA and other high-ranking officials, reached the spot where she was stranded.
