മംഗളൂരു: കര്‍ണാടകയിലെ ചിക്കമംഗളൂരു എന്‍.ആര്‍ പുരയില്‍ മലയാളി നഴ്‌സ് മുത്തിനകൊപ്പ സ്വദേശിയായ രന്യയെ നദിയില്‍ മരിച്ച നിലയില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തി.

തിങ്കളാഴ്ച വൈകുന്നേരം ശിവമൊഗ്ഗയില്‍ നിന്ന് ജോലി കഴിഞ്ഞ് വീട്ടിലെത്തിയ രന്യ, 'പുറത്തുപോയി വരാം' എന്ന് വീട്ടുകാരോട് പറഞ്ഞാണ് ഇറങ്ങിയത്. എന്നാല്‍ രാത്രിയായിട്ടും തിരിച്ചെത്താത്തതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ബന്ധുക്കള്‍ അന്വേഷണം തുടങ്ങിയിരുന്നു.

മുഡുബ പാലത്തിന് സമീപം രന്യയുടെ ചെരുപ്പും മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണും കണ്ടെത്തിയതാണ് പ്രാഥമികമായി ഇത് ആത്മഹത്യയാണെന്ന നിഗമനത്തിലേക്ക് പോലീസിനെ എത്തിച്ചത്. പാലത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഭദ്രാനദിയിലേക്ക് ചാടിയതാകാം എന്ന് കരുതപ്പെടുന്നു. 

എന്‍.ആര്‍ പുര പോലീസ് അന്വേഷണം ഊര്‍ജ്ജിതമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. ശിവമൊഗ്ഗയിലെ നാരായാണ ഹൃദയാലയയിലാണ് രന്യ ജോലി ചെയ്യുന്നത്. ജോലി സ്ഥലത്തോ കുടുംബത്തിലോ എന്തെങ്കിലും പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നോ എന്ന് പോലീസ് പരിശോധിച്ചു വരികയാണ്. നിലവില്‍ ആത്മഹത്യയുടെ കൃത്യമായ കാരണം വ്യക്തമല്ല.

ബുധനാഴ്ച ഉച്ചയോടെയാണ് പാലത്തിന് അല്പം അകലെയായി നദിയില്‍ മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഫയര്‍ഫോഴ്‌സും നാട്ടുകാരും സംയുക്തമായി നടത്തിയ തിരച്ചിലിനൊടുവിലാണ് മൃതദേഹം പുറത്തെടുത്തത്. മുത്തിനകൊപ്പ സ്വദേശിയായ രന്യക്ക് രണ്ട് മക്കളുണ്ട്. 

Summary:Mangaluru: A Malayali nurse, identified as Ranya, a native of Muthinakoppa, was found dead in a river in N.R. Pura, Chikmagalur, Karnataka.

Ranya, who worked at Narayana Hrudayalaya in Shivamogga, had returned home from work on Monday evening. She told her family she was "going out for a bit" and left the house. However, when she failed to return by nightfall, her relatives began a search.

The police initially suspected suicide after Ranya’s slippers and mobile phone were discovered near the Muduba Bridge. It is believed that she may have jumped into the Bhadra River from the bridge.

The N.R. Pura police have intensified their investigation. They are currently looking into whether there were any issues at her workplace or within her family. As of now, the exact motive behind the suspected suicide remains unclear.

The body was recovered from the river on Wednesday afternoon, a short distance from the bridge, following a joint search operation by the fire department and local residents. Ranya is survived by her two children.
