In an interview with CNBC, Trump suggested that Iran could secure a prosperous future by entering into a new agreement. "Iran must use reason and common sense; they have the potential to become a great country," Trump added.

Iran’s Skepticism

However, Tehran has viewed Trump’s gesture with suspicion. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian criticized the US stance as "hypocritical." Posting on X (formerly Twitter), Pezeshkian stated that while Iran has always welcomed dialogue and agreements, international sanctions and threats remain the primary obstacles to genuine negotiations.

While reports suggest a possibility of talks within the next 36 to 72 hours, Iran has not yet reached a final decision regarding its participation.
