ഒമാന് തീരത്തിന് സമീപമാണ് സംഭവം. പലാവു പതാകയുള്ള 'സ്കൈലൈറ്റ്' എന്ന എണ്ണക്കപ്പലിന് നേരെയാണ് ആക്രമണമുണ്ടായത്. മുസന്ദം ഉപദ്വീപിന് 5 നോട്ടിക്കല് മൈല് വടക്ക് വെച്ചാണ് കപ്പല് ആക്രമിക്കപ്പെട്ടത്.
