എംജി റോഡില്‍ ട്രെയിന്‍ പണിമുടക്കി, കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു

Train Breaks Down at MG Road; Kochi Metro Services Disrupted

കൊച്ചി: കൊച്ചി മെട്രോയില്‍ സാങ്കേതിക തകരാറിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു. എംജി റോഡ് സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ വച്ച് ഒരു ട്രെയിനിന് സാങ്കേതിക തകരാര്‍ സംഭവിച്ചതാണ് സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ വൈകാന്‍ കാരണമായത്. ഈ തകരാര്‍ മൂലം മെട്രോ സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കാന്‍ ഏകദേശം അര മണിക്കൂറോളം സമയമെടുക്കുമെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്.

ഇതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് ട്രെയിന്‍ സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ വൈകുകയും ചിലയിടങ്ങളില്‍ ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ പാതിവഴിയില്‍ നിര്‍ത്തേണ്ടി വരികയും ചെയ്തു. മെട്രോയിലെ സാങ്കേതിക വിദഗ്ധര്‍ സ്ഥലത്തെത്തി തകരാര്‍ പരിഹരിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമങ്ങള്‍ ഉടന്‍ ആരംഭിച്ചു. 

സിഗ്‌നലിംഗ് സംവിധാനത്തിലുണ്ടായ സാങ്കേതിക തകരാറാണ് പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് കാരണമായത്.  രാവിലെ എട്ടരയോടെ തിരക്കുള്ള സമയത്താണ് സംഭവം നടന്നത്. ഇതോടെ ഓഫീസുകളിലേക്കും മറ്റും പോകാനിറങ്ങിയ യാത്രക്കാര്‍ ഏറെ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടിലായി.

തകരാര്‍ പരിഹരിക്കുന്നത് വരെ സര്‍വീസുകള്‍ ഭാഗികമായി നിയന്ത്രിച്ചു. തൃപ്പൂണിത്തുറ ഭാഗത്തേക്ക് പോകുന്ന ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ പലയിടത്തും നിശ്ചിത സമയത്തിലും വൈകിയാണ് ഓടിയത്.

യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കുണ്ടായ അസൗകര്യത്തില്‍ കൊച്ചി മെട്രോ റെയില്‍ ലിമിറ്റഡ് (കെ.എം.ആര്‍.എല്‍) ഖേദം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. നേരത്തെയും ചില സമയങ്ങളില്‍ സമാനമായ സാങ്കേതിക തകരാറുകള്‍ മെട്രോയില്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും അവ ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ പരിഹരിക്കാറുണ്ട്.

Summary:  Technical glitches have disrupted Kochi Metro services today. A technical fault occurred on a train at the MG Road station, leading to significant delays across the network. Reports indicate that it may take approximately half an hour to fully restore services.

Following the breakdown, train schedules were delayed, and in some areas, trains had to be halted mid-journey. Metro technical experts arrived at the scene immediately to begin repair work.

Cause: A technical snag in the signaling system triggered the disruption.

Timing: The incident occurred around 8:30 AM, during the peak morning rush hour.

Impact: Commuters heading to offices and other destinations faced significant inconvenience. Services towards the Tripunithura side were running well behind their scheduled times.

Current Status: Services were partially regulated while repairs were underway.

Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL) has expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to passengers. While similar technical issues have been reported in the past, they are typically resolved swiftly by the maintenance teams.
