കണ്ണൂര്‍ : കണ്ണൂര്‍ റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ കെ.എസ്.യു പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുടെ പ്രതിഷേധത്തിനിടെ ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി വീണാ ജോര്‍ജിന് പരുക്കേറ്റുവെന്ന് ആരോപിച്ച് ചികിത്സയിലായിരുന്ന ആരോഗ്യ വകുപ്പ് മന്ത്രി വീണാജോര്‍ജിനെ ഇന്നു പുലര്‍ച്ചെ 4 മണിയോടെ ഡിസ്ചാര്‍ജ് ചെയ്തു.

പരിയാരം ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ നിന്ന് തുടര്‍ചികിത്സയ്ക്കായി മന്ത്രി കാര്‍ മാര്‍ഗം തിരുവനന്തപുരം മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളജിലേക്കാണ് പോകുന്നത്.

എം.ആര്‍.ഐ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് പ്രകാരം, വീണയുടെ കഴുത്തിലെ കശേരുക്കള്‍ക്കിടയിലുള്ള ഡിസ്‌കുകള്‍ രണ്ടിടങ്ങളില്‍ നാഡികളില്‍ അമരുന്നത് കാരണമാണ് കടുത്ത വേദന അനുഭവപ്പെടുന്നത്. മര്‍ദനം, തള്ളല്‍, അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ കഴുത്ത് പെട്ടെന്ന് തിരിയുന്നത് എന്നിവയൊക്കെ ഇത്തരം പരുക്കിന് കാരണമാകാമെന്ന് ഡോക്ടര്‍മാര്‍ പറയുന്നു.

സെല്‍ഫി വിവാദം

ഇതിനിടെ, പരിയാരം ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രിയിലെ ഐ സി യുവില്‍ കിടന്ന മന്ത്രിയുടെ ഒപ്പം നഴ്‌സിംഗ് ജീവനക്കാര്‍ സെല്‍ഫി എടുത്തത് വലിയ വിവാദമായിട്ടുണ്ട്. നെക് കോളര്‍ ധരിച്ച മന്ത്രിയും ജീവനക്കാരും ചിരിക്കുന്നതാണ് ചിത്രം. ചിത്രം സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയില്‍ പ്രചരിക്കുകയും പ്രതിപക്ഷം ഇതിനെതിരേ സംസാരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തതോടെ മന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ് പരിയാരം ഗവണ്‍മെന്റ് മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളേജ് ആശുപത്രി അധികൃതരോട് വിശദീകരണം ചോദിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ആശുപത്രി സൂപ്രണ്ട് അന്വേഷണത്തിന് ഉത്തരവിട്ടു. ഫോട്ടോയിലുള്ള നഴ്‌സിംഗ് ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കെതിരേ നടപടി വരുമെന്നാണ് സൂചന. മന്ത്രിക്ക് കാര്യമായ ആരോഗ്യ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ഇല്ലെന്നു വെളിവാക്കുന്നതാണ് ചിത്രമെന്നു പ്രതിപക്ഷം ആരോപിക്കുന്നു.

റെയില്‍വേ പൊലീസ് അന്വേഷണം

കണ്ണൂര്‍ റെയില്‍വേ സി.ഐ സുധീര്‍ മനോഹറിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള സംഘം മന്ത്രിയെ ചികിത്സിച്ച ഡോക്ടര്‍മാരുടെ മൊഴി രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി. പരുക്ക് ആയുധം കൊണ്ടോ മറ്റേതെങ്കിലും വസ്തു കൊണ്ടോ ഉണ്ടായതാണോ എന്ന് പൊലീസ് ചോദിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. റെയില്‍വേ സ്‌റ്റേഷിനില്‍ വച്ചു മന്ത്രിക്കു പരിക്കേറ്റുവെന്നതാണ് അന്വേഷണത്തിന് കാരണം.

പരാതി നല്‍കിയ മന്ത്രിയുടെ ഗണ്‍മാന്‍ അഭിലാഷിന്റെ മൊഴിയും രേഖപ്പെടുത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്. റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനിലെ 55 സി.സി.ടി.വി കാമറകള്‍ പൊലീസ് പരിശോധിച്ചു വരികയാണ്. മന്ത്രിയെ നേരിട്ട് മര്‍ദിക്കുന്ന ദൃശ്യങ്ങളൊന്നും ഇതുവരെ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നാണ് സൂചന.

സംഭവത്തില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ വ്യക്തത വരുത്താന്‍ റെയില്‍വേ ഐ.ജിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില്‍ ഉന്നതതല അന്വേഷണ സംഘത്തെ നിയോഗിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.

മെഡിക്കല്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്

മന്ത്രിയെ വധിക്കാനുള്ള ശ്രമമാണ് നടന്നതെന്ന് സി.പി.എം ആരോപിക്കുന്നു. ഇതിന്റെ പേരില്‍ ഡി.സി.സി ഓഫിസുകള്‍ക്കും കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് ഓഫിസുകള്‍ക്കും നേരെ ആക്രമണങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നു.

മന്ത്രിക്ക് മുന്‍പേ കഴുത്തിന് പരുക്കുണ്ടായിരുന്നെന്നും അത് ഇളകിയതാകാം എന്നുമാണ് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് നേതാക്കള്‍ വാദിക്കുന്നത്. മന്ത്രിയെ മര്‍ദിക്കുന്ന ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ അത് പുറത്തുവിടാന്‍ കെ.പി.സി.സി പ്രസിഡന്റ് സണ്ണി ജോസഫ് വെല്ലുവിളിച്ചു. ദൃശ്യം നല്‍കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ഒരു പവന്‍ സ്വര്‍ണം സമ്മാനം നല്‍കുമെന്നും യൂത്ത് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.

ആലപ്പുഴ മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളജിലെ ചികിത്സാ പിഴവ് (ശസ്ത്രക്രിയയ്ക്കിടെ കത്രിക വയറ്റില്‍ കുടുങ്ങിയ സംഭവം) ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള ആരോഗ്യവകുപ്പിലെ വീഴ്ചകള്‍ക്കെതിരെയായിരുന്നു കെ.എസ്.യു-യൂത്ത് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരുടെ പ്രതിഷേധം.

ഫെബ്രുവരി 25-ന് ഉച്ചയ്ക്ക് 3:25-ഓടെ വന്ദേഭാരത് എക്‌സ്പ്രസില്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്യാന്‍ മന്ത്രി സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ എത്തിയപ്പോഴായിരുന്നു കരിങ്കൊടി പ്രതിഷേധം അരങ്ങേറിയത്. സ്പീക്കര്‍ എ.എന്‍. ഷംസീറും ആ സമയം മന്ത്രിയുടെ ഒപ്പമുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. സ്റ്റേഷനില്‍ വച്ച് പരുക്കേറ്റെന്നു പറയുന്ന മന്ത്രിയെ ഇലക്ട്രിക് ബഗ്ഗിയിലാണ് പുറത്തെത്തിച്ചത്.

മെഡിക്കല്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടിലെ വിശദാംശങ്ങള്‍

പരുക്കിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയിലെ ഐ.സി.യുവില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ച മന്ത്രിയെ പിന്നീട് വിദഗ്ധ പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി പരിയാരം മെഡിക്കല്‍ കോളജിലേക്ക് മാറ്റി.

എം.ആര്‍.ഐ സ്‌കാനിംഗില്‍ കഴുത്തിന് നേരിയ ക്ഷതം സംഭവിച്ചതായി കണ്ടെത്തി. പരുക്ക് കാരണം മന്ത്രിയുടെ വലതുകൈയ്ക്ക് മരവിപ്പ് അനുഭവപ്പെട്ടതായും മെഡിക്കല്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടിലുണ്ട്.

നെക് കോളര്‍ ധരിക്കാന്‍ ഡോക്ടര്‍മാര്‍ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശിച്ചു. രക്തസമ്മര്‍ദ്ദം സാധാരണ നിലയിലായതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്നാണ് ഫെബ്രുവരി 27-ന് ആശുപത്രി വിട്ടത്.

അന്വേഷണവും അറസ്റ്റും

പ്രതിഷേധവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് കെ.എസ്.യു ജില്ലാ പ്രസിഡന്റ് എം.സി. അതുല്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ അഞ്ച് പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരെ പൊലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. ഇവര്‍ക്കെതിരെ വധശ്രമം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള വകുപ്പുകള്‍ ചുമത്തി റിമാന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്.

സംഭവത്തിന് പിന്നാലെ കേരളത്തിലുടനീളം വ്യാപകമായ അക്രമങ്ങള്‍ നടന്നു. കണ്ണൂരിലെ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് ഓഫിസുകള്‍ക്ക് നേരെയും കൊടിമരങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് നേരെയും ഡി.വൈ.എഫ്.ഐ-എസ്.എഫ്.ഐ പ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ ആക്രമണം നടത്തി.

ഇതൊരു ആസൂത്രിതമായ വധശ്രമമാണെന്നും ഒരു വനിതാ മന്ത്രിക്കെതിരെ കേരള ചരിത്രത്തില്‍ കേട്ടുകേള്‍വിയില്ലാത്ത ആക്രമണമാണ് നടന്നതെന്നും മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി പിണറായി വിജയനും സി.പി.എം സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി എം.വി. ഗോവിന്ദനും കുറ്റപ്പെടുത്തി.

പരുക്ക് മന്ത്രിയുടെ അഭിനയമാണെന്നും പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര്‍ മന്ത്രിയുടെ അടുത്തെത്തിയിട്ടില്ലെന്നും പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവ് വി.ഡി. സതീശന്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

After the image went viral on social media and drew criticism from the Opposition, the Minister’s office sought an explanation from the hospital authorities. The Hospital Superintendent has ordered an inquiry, and indications suggest disciplinary action will be taken against the nursing staff involved. The Opposition alleges that the photo proves the Minister does not have serious health issues.

Railway Police Investigation

A team led by Kannur Railway CI Sudhir Manohar recorded statements from the doctors who treated the Minister. The police inquired whether the injury was caused by a weapon or any other object. The investigation was initiated following reports that the Minister was injured at the railway station.

The statement of Abhilash, the Minister’s gunman who filed the complaint, has also been recorded. Police are currently reviewing footage from 55 CCTV cameras at the station. Sources indicate that no footage showing a direct physical assault on the Minister has been found so far. To bring more clarity to the incident, it has been decided to appoint a high-level investigation team led by the Railway IG.

The CPI(M) has alleged that the incident was an attempted murder. In response, attacks were carried out against DCC and Congress offices. KPCC President Sunny Joseph challenged the government to release any footage of the Minister being assaulted. The KSU-Youth Congress protest was directed against lapses in the Health Department, including a recent medical negligence case at Alappuzha Medical College where scissors were allegedly left in a patient's abdomen during surgery. The black-flag protest occurred on February 25 around 3:25 PM when the Minister arrived at the station to board the Vande Bharat Express. Speaker A.N. Shamseer was also present. Following the incident, the Minister was transported out of the station in an electric buggy.

Medical Report Details

The Minister was initially admitted to the ICU of the District Hospital before being moved to Pariyaram Medical College for expert examination. The MRI scan revealed a minor injury to the neck. The medical report also noted that the Minister experienced numbness in her right hand due to the injury. Doctors advised her to wear a neck collar. She was discharged on February 27 after her blood pressure stabilized.

Investigation and Arrests

Police arrested five activists, including KSU District President M.C. Athul, in connection with the protest. They have been remanded under several charges, including attempted murder.

Following the incident, widespread violence was reported across Kerala. DYFI-SFI activists attacked Congress offices and flagpoles in Kannur. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI(M) State Secretary M.V. Govindan condemned the act, calling it a planned murder attempt and an unprecedented attack on a female minister in Kerala's history. However, Leader of the Opposition V.D. Satheesan dismissed the claims, calling the injury "acting" and stating that the protesters never got near the Minister.
