ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: ഈ മാസം 15-ന് നടക്കാനിരിക്കുന്ന ഇന്ത്യ-പാകിസ്ഥാന്‍ ടി20 ലോകകപ്പ് മത്സരം നിശ്ചയിച്ച പ്രകാരം തന്നെ നടക്കാന്‍ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍. ഹൈ-പ്രൊഫൈല്‍ മത്സരം ബഹിഷ്‌കരിക്കാനുള്ള തീരുമാനം പാകിസ്ഥാന്‍ മാറ്റുമെന്നുതന്നെയാണ് പ്രതീക്ഷയെന്ന് അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര ക്രിക്കറ്റ് കൗണ്‍സില്‍ (ഐ സി സി) വൃത്തങ്ങള്‍ സൂചിപ്പിച്ചു.

സുരക്ഷാ കാരണങ്ങള്‍ ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി ഇന്ത്യയിലേക്ക് ടീമിനെ അയക്കാന്‍ ബംഗ്ലാദേശ് ക്രിക്കറ്റ് ബോര്‍ഡ് വിസമ്മതിച്ചിരുന്നു. ഇതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് ബംഗ്ലാദേശിന് പകരം സ്‌കോട്ട്ലന്‍ഡിനെ ടൂര്‍ണമെന്റില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തി. ഈ തര്‍ക്കം പരിഹരിക്കാന്‍ ബിസിബി ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ അമിനുല്‍ ഇസ്ലാം ബുള്‍ബുള്‍ ലാഹോറിലെത്തി പിസിബി അധികൃതരുമായി ചര്‍ച്ച നടത്തി. കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രി അമിത് ഷായുടെ മകന്‍ ജയ് ഷാ നയിക്കുന്ന ഐസിസി പാക് നടപടിയെ ഗൗരവമായാണ് കാണുന്നത്.

സുരക്ഷാ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ ഉന്നയിച്ച് ബംഗ്ലാദേശ് പിന്മാറിയപ്പോള്‍, ഐസിസി അത് അംഗീകരിച്ചില്ല. പകരം യോഗ്യതാ റൗണ്ടില്‍ കളിച്ച സ്‌കോട്ട്ലന്‍ഡിനെ പ്രധാന ടൂര്‍ണമെന്റിലേക്ക് ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. ഇത് ബംഗ്‌ളാ ക്രിക്കറ്റിനു ഭാവിയില്‍ വന്‍ നഷ്ടമാണ് ഉണ്ടാക്കാന്‍ പോകുന്നത്.

Summary: Reports suggest that the T20 World Cup clash between India and Pakistan, scheduled for the 15th of this month, is likely to proceed as planned. International Cricket Council (ICC) sources indicated that Pakistan is expected to reverse its decision to boycott the high-profile match.

It is understood that the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approached the ICC to discuss the matter. There are indications that Pakistan is withdrawing from its stance of not playing against the Indian team. This shift comes after the ICC demanded an explanation on how the 'force majeure' clause could be invoked to justify staying away from the match.

The ICC has informed Pakistan that boycotting the match could lead to severe consequences, including heavy financial penalties, loss of points, cancellation of the board's membership, and the loss of hosting rights for future tournaments.

Earlier, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had refused to send its team to India citing security reasons. Consequently, the ICC replaced Bangladesh with Scotland in the tournament. To resolve the ongoing deadlock, BCB Chairman Aminul Islam Bulbul reached Lahore to hold discussions with PCB officials. The ICC, led by Jay Shah (son of Union Home Minister Amit Shah), is viewing Pakistan's actions with high gravity.

When Bangladesh withdrew citing security concerns, the ICC did not accept their reasoning. Instead, Scotland, who played in the qualifying rounds, was included in the main tournament. This move is expected to cause significant long-term losses for Bangladesh cricket.

With Scotland replacing Bangladesh, the group equations have shifted. It is certain that Pakistan will lose crucial points if they withdraw from the match against India. Currently, ICC representatives are camping in Lahore. The ICC maintains that Pakistan's arguments regarding 'security concerns' or 'lack of government permission' are technically unsustainable.

If they boycott the game, Pakistan will have to pay a massive fine. Missing matches will also adversely affect Pakistan's world rankings. Such repeated stances could even jeopardize Pakistan's ICC membership.

Sports sources indicate that the match is most likely to take place on February 15th in Colombo. Although the Pakistan Board has placed certain conditions before the ICC, they are expected to ultimately send the team for the match.

In the World Cup, both India and Pakistan secured victories in their opening matches after tough battles. While Pakistan defeated the Netherlands by three wickets, India started their campaign by defeating the USA—the team that had stunned Pakistan in the previous World Cup.
