ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: പാര്‍ട്ടിക്കുള്ളില്‍ ഭിന്നത നിലനില്‍ക്കുന്നുവെന്ന അഭ്യൂഹങ്ങള്‍ക്കിടെ പ്രതിപക്ഷ നേതാവ് രാഹുല്‍ ഗാന്ധി, കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് അധ്യക്ഷന്‍ മല്ലികാര്‍ജുന്‍ ഖാര്‍ഗെ എന്നിവരുമായി ശശി തരൂര്‍ എം.പി പാര്‍ലമെന്റില്‍ കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തി.

ഖാര്‍ഗെയുടെ ചേംബറില്‍ നടന്ന ചര്‍ച്ചയില്‍ കെ.സി. വേണുഗോപാലും പങ്കെടുത്തു. ഒരു മണിക്കൂറിലധികം നീണ്ടുനിന്ന കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച 'സൗഹാര്‍ദ്ദപരവും ഗുണപരവും' ആയിരുന്നുവെന്ന് തരൂര്‍ വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചു.

കേരളത്തിലെ പാര്‍ട്ടി നേതൃത്വവുമായി തരൂര്‍ അകല്‍ച്ചയിലാണെന്നും കൊച്ചിയിലെ ഒരു ചടങ്ങില്‍ രാഹുല്‍ ഗാന്ധി അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അവഗണിച്ചുവെന്നും വാര്‍ത്തകള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ഇതേത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് തരൂര്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടി വിടാന്‍ ഒരുങ്ങുന്നു എന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള ചര്‍ച്ചകളും സജീവമായിരുന്നു.

താന്‍ 17 വര്‍ഷമായി കോണ്‍ഗ്രസിനൊപ്പമുണ്ടെന്നും പാര്‍ലമെന്റില്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടിയുടെ നയങ്ങളില്‍ നിന്ന് ഒരിക്കലും വ്യതിചലിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം ഓര്‍മ്മിപ്പിച്ചു. കൂടാതെ, 'ഓപ്പറേഷന്‍ സിന്ദൂര്‍' അടക്കമുള്ള വിഷയങ്ങളില്‍ തന്റെ മുന്‍ നിലപാടുകളില്‍ ഉറച്ചുനില്‍ക്കുന്നതായും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു.

He reminded that he has been with the Congress for 17 years and has never deviated from the party's policies in Parliament. Furthermore, he stated that he stands firm on his previous positions regarding subjects including "Operation Sindoor."

Through this meeting with the Congress High Command, Shashi Tharoor has given a strong indication that he will remain within the party. Tharoor informed that there is no alienation from the party leadership and that the discussions were productive.
