മൂന്നാം കേസില്‍ ജാമ്യത്തിനായി ജില്ലാ കോടതിയെ സമീപിക്കാന്‍ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തില്‍

തിരുവല്ല : മൂന്നാമത്തെ ലൈംഗിക പീഡനക്കേസില്‍ അറസ്റ്റിലായ പാലക്കാട് എം.എല്‍.എ രാഹുല്‍ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ ജാമ്യത്തിനായി ജില്ലാ കോടതിയെ സമീപിക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചു. രാഹുലിന്റെ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ തിരുവല്ല ജുഡിഷ്യല്‍ ഒന്നാം ക്ലാസ് മജിസ്ട്രേറ്റ് കോടതി തള്ളിയിരുന്നു.

പത്തനംതിട്ട ജില്ലാ സെഷന്‍സ് കോടതിയിലാവും പുതിയ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ സമര്‍പ്പിക്കുക. ലൈംഗിക ബന്ധം ഉഭയസമ്മതപ്രകാരമുള്ളതായിരുന്നുവെന്നും പരാതിക്കാരിക്ക് താനുമായി സൗഹൃദമുണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെന്നും രാഹുല്‍ കോടതിയെ ബോധിപ്പിക്കും. ഇതിനായി ചില ചാറ്റുകളും കോടതിയില്‍ ഹാജരാക്കും.

രാഹുല്‍ ഒരു സ്ഥിരം കുറ്റവാളിയാണെന്നും ജാമ്യം നല്‍കിയാല്‍ സാക്ഷികളെ സ്വാധീനിക്കാനും തെളിവുകള്‍ നശിപ്പിക്കാനും സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്നും പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ വാദിക്കുന്നു. കൂടാതെ അന്വേഷണത്തോടും ഫോണ്‍ പാസ്വേഡ് നല്‍കുന്നതിനോടും അദ്ദേഹം സഹകരിക്കുന്നില്ലെന്നും പോലീസ് ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടുന്നു.

കാനഡയിലുള്ള യുവതി പത്തനംതിട്ടയിലെ ഹോട്ടല്‍ മുറിയില്‍ വച്ച് പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു എന്ന് കാട്ടി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിക്ക് ഇ മെയിലില്‍ നല്‍കിയ പരാതിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലാണ് മൂന്നാമത്തെ കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നത്.

നിലവില്‍ രാഹുല്‍ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ റിമാന്‍ഡില്‍ തുടരുകയാണ്. ജില്ലാ കോടതിയിലെ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷയിലായിരിക്കും ഇനി നിര്‍ണ്ണായകമായ വിധി ഉണ്ടാവുക.

The third case was registered based on an email complaint sent to the Chief Minister by a woman residing in Canada. She alleged that she was sexually assaulted in a hotel room in Pathanamthitta.

Currently, Rahul Mamkootathil remains in remand. The upcoming verdict from the District Court on his bail plea will be crucial.
