തിരുവനന്തപുരം: ശബരിമലയിലെ സ്വര്‍ണം കവര്‍ന്ന കേസില്‍ ആരോപണവിധേയനായ 'ഡി. മണി' താനല്ലെന്ന് ഡിണ്ടിഗലില്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തി മൊഴി നല്‍കി. താന്‍ എം.എസ്. മണി ആണെന്നും ഡി. മണി മറ്റൊരാളാണെന്നുമാണ് ഇയാളുടെ വാദം. എന്നാല്‍ ഇയാളുടെ പേരില്‍ മുന്‍പ് മനുഷ്യക്കടത്ത് അടക്കമുള്ള കേസുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് പോലീസ് കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

തന്റെ അഡ്രസ് ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ബാലമുരുകന്‍ എന്ന വ്യക്തി മൊബൈല്‍ കണക്ഷന്‍ എടുത്തിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും ആ നമ്പറാണ് കേസില്‍ പ്രതിസ്ഥാനത്തുള്ളതെന്നും മണി ആരോപിക്കുന്നു. ഡി. മണി എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നത് ബാലമുരുകന്‍ എന്നയാളാണെന്ന് എസ്.ഐ.ടി നേരത്തെ നിഗമനത്തില്‍ എത്തിയിരുന്നു.

ഡി. മണി എന്ന് അറിയപ്പെടുന്നത് തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ ഡിണ്ടിഗല്‍ സ്വദേശിയായ ബാലമുരുകന്‍ ആണെന്ന് എസ്.ഐ.ടി തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞു. വജ്രവ്യാപാരത്തില്‍ ഇടനിലക്കാരനായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നതിനാലാണ് ഇയാള്‍ 'ഡയമണ്ട് മണി' അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ 'ഡി. മണി' എന്ന് വിളിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്. ഇയാളെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്ത് കേരളത്തിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുവരാനുള്ള സാധ്യതയും എസ്.ഐ.ടി പരിശോധിക്കുന്നുണ്ട്.

ശബരിമലയിലെ നാല് പഞ്ചലോഹ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ണിക്കൃഷ്ണന്‍ പോറ്റി ഇടനിലക്കാരനായി ഡി. മണിക്ക് വിറ്റുവെന്നാണ് പ്രവാസി വ്യവസായി നല്‍കിയ മൊഴി. 2019-2020 കാലഘട്ടത്തിലാണ് ഈ ഇടപാട് നടന്നതെന്നും, ഇതിന്റെ പണം കൈമാറിയത് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തെ ഒരു ഹോട്ടലില്‍ വച്ചാണെന്നും മൊഴിയില്‍ പറയുന്നു.

വിരുദുനഗര്‍ സ്വദേശിയായ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണന്‍ എന്നയാളും ഈ സംഘത്തില്‍ ഉണ്ടെന്ന് പോലീസ് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഉണ്ണിക്കൃഷ്ണന്‍ പോറ്റിയുമായി ഇവര്‍ക്ക് മുന്‍പ് ബന്ധമുണ്ടായിരുന്നോ എന്ന് പോലീസ് പരിശോധിച്ചു വരികയാണ്.

ഈ കേസില്‍ മുന്‍ ദേവസ്വം ബോര്‍ഡ് പ്രസിഡന്റുമാരായ എ. പത്മകുമാറും എന്‍. വാസുവും നിലവില്‍ റിമാന്‍ഡിലാണ്. ഇവരുടെ കാലത്താണ് സ്വര്‍ണ്ണക്കടത്ത് നടന്നതെന്ന് പോലീസ് സംശയിക്കുന്നു.

ഡി. മണിയുടെ വീട്ടില്‍ ഇന്നു രാവിലെ 10:30 മുതല്‍ എസ്.ഐ.ടി പരിശോധന നടത്തി.  ശബരിമലയിലെ പഞ്ചലോഹ വിഗ്രഹങ്ങള്‍ ഡി. മണി വാങ്ങിയെന്നായിരുന്നു വിദേശ വ്യവസായിയുടെ മൊഴി. ഇത് അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതിനായാണ് സേര്‍ച്ച് വാറണ്ടുമായി കേരള പോലീസ് ഡിണ്ടിഗലിലെത്തിയത്.

പത്മനാഭസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ 1000 കോടി രൂപയുടെ പുരാവസ്തുക്കള്‍ കവരാന്‍ ഈ സംഘം പദ്ധതിയിട്ടിരുന്നതായും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ പറയുന്നു.

കേരളത്തില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള ഡിവൈഎസ്പിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള സംഘമാണ് തമിഴ്നാട് പോലീസിന്റെ സഹായത്തോടെ പരിശോധനകള്‍ക്ക് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കിയത്.

Summary:  The individual interrogated in Dindigul regarding the Sabarimala gold heist case has stated in his testimony that he is not 'D. Mani,' the person accused in the case. He claims that his name is M.S. Mani and that D. Mani is a different person. However, the police have discovered that he has prior involvement in cases, including human trafficking.

Mani further alleged that an individual named Balamurugan used his address to obtain a mobile connection and that it is this specific phone number that is linked to the case. The Special Investigation Team (SIT) had previously concluded that the person known as D. Mani is indeed Balamurugan.

The SIT identified that 'D. Mani' is Balamurugan, a native of Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. He is reportedly called 'Diamond Mani' or 'D. Mani' because he acts as a middleman in the diamond trade. The SIT is currently considering the possibility of taking him into custody and bringing him to Kerala.

According to the testimony provided by an expatriate businessman, four panchaloha (five-metal alloy) idols from Sabarimala were sold to D. Mani through Unnikrishnan Potti, who acted as an intermediary. The testimony states that this transaction took place between 2019 and 2020, and the payment was handed over at a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram.

The police have also identified another individual in the group named Sreekrishnan, a native of Virudhunagar. They are investigating whether these individuals had prior links with Unnikrishnan Potti.

In connection with this case, former Devaswom Board Presidents A. Padmakumar and N. Vasu are currently in remand. The police suspect that the gold smuggling occurred during their tenure.

The SIT conducted a search at D. Mani's residence starting at 10:30 AM today. The Kerala Police arrived in Dindigul with a search warrant to investigate the expatriate businessman's claim that D. Mani had purchased the Sabarimala idols.

Reports also suggest that this group had planned to loot antiques worth ?1,000 crore, including items from the Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple.

The raids were led by a team headed by a DYSP from Kerala, with the assistance of the Tamil Nadu Police.
