കുമളി: തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ തോറ്റതിന് വോട്ടര്‍മാരെ അപമാനിച്ച് സി പി എം നേതാവും മുന്‍ മന്ത്രിയുമായ എം.എം. മണി.

പെന്‍ഷനെല്ലാം വാങ്ങി ശാപ്പാട് കഴിച്ചു. എന്നിട്ട് അവര്‍ എല്‍ ഡി എഫിനെതിരേ വോട്ടു ചെയ്തിരിക്കുന്നു. കാണിച്ചത് നന്ദികേടാണ്. റോഡ്, പാലം, വികസന പ്രവര്‍ത്തങ്ങനള്‍, ക്ഷേമപ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ എല്ലാം കേരള ചരിത്രത്തില്‍ ഇതുവരെ നടക്കാത്ത തരത്തിലാണ്.

ഇതെല്ലാം വാങ്ങി ശാപ്പാടടിച്ചിട്ട് നമുക്കിട്ടു വച്ചുവെന്നാണ് തോന്നുന്നത്. ഒരുമാതിരി പണിയായിപ്പോയി. ഒരു മര്യാദ കാട്ടണ്ടേ... ഇതാണ് എം എം മണിയുടെ വാക്കുകള്‍. 

എന്നാല്‍, തോറ്റിട്ടും ജനത്തോടുള്ള ധാര്‍ഷ്ട്യത്തിന് ഒരു കുറവുമില്ലെന്നാണ് മണിയുടെ വാക്കുകള്‍ക്കെതിരേ പൊതുവേ ഉയരുന്ന വിമര്‍ശനം.

"They took the pension and everything, had a meal. And then they voted against the LDF. What they showed was ingratitude (nandikedu). Development works like roads and bridges, and welfare activities were all done in a way that has never happened before in Kerala's history. It seems they took all this, had their fill, and then tricked us (namakkittu vachu). It was a kind of shabby trick/dirty work (orumaathiri paniyayi poyi). Shouldn't they show some courtesy/decency (maryaada)..." These are the words of M.M. Mani.
