തൃശൂര്‍: സസ്‌പെന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ട് താന്‍ ഭയന്ന് ഓടിപ്പോകില്ലെന്നും പാര്‍ട്ടിക്കൊപ്പം തന്നെ നില്‍ക്കുമെന്നും തൃശൂര്‍ കോര്‍പറേഷന്‍ മേയര്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിലെ കോഴ ആരോപണം ഉന്നയിച്ച ലാലി ജെയിംസ്.

മേയര്‍ പദവി പെട്ടിയില്‍ പണമെത്തിച്ചവര്‍ക്ക് വില്‍ക്കുകയാണെന്നും, പണം നല്‍കിയവര്‍ക്കാണ് പാര്‍ട്ടി പദവി നല്‍കിയതെന്നും ലാലി ജെയിംസ് ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ച് ആരോപിച്ചു. താന്‍ സാധാരണക്കാരി ആയതിനാലാണ് നാല് വട്ടം കൗണ്‍സിലറായിട്ടും തന്നെ പരിഗണിക്കാതിരുന്നതെന്നും അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പറയുമ്പോള്‍ നടപടിയെടുക്കുകയല്ല, പകരം വിളിച്ചിരുത്തി സംസാരിക്കാനുള്ള മര്യാദയാണ് നേതൃത്വം കാണിക്കേണ്ടിയിരുന്നത്. പണപ്പെട്ടി താന്‍ നേരിട്ട് കണ്ടിട്ടില്ലെന്നും എന്നാല്‍ മേയര്‍ പദവിക്ക് വേണ്ടി പണം നല്‍കിയതിനെക്കുറിച്ച് താന്‍ കേട്ട കാര്യം പൊതുജനങ്ങളെ അറിയിക്കുകയാണ് ചെയ്തതെന്നും അവര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ഡിസിസി നേതൃത്വം തന്നോടും ഫണ്ട് ചോദിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്നും എന്നാല്‍ അത് നല്‍കാന്‍ കഴിയില്ലെന്ന് താന്‍ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നതായും ലാലി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി. വെള്ളിയാഴ്ച നടന്ന തൃശൂര്‍ കോര്‍പറേഷന്‍ മേയര്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിന് തൊട്ടുമുന്‍പാണ് ലാലി ജെയിംസ് പാര്‍ട്ടി നേതൃത്വത്തിനെതിരെ ഗുരുതര ആരോപണങ്ങളുമായി രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്. തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ ഡോ. നിജി ജസ്റ്റിന്‍ മേയറായും എ. പ്രസാദ് ഡെപ്യൂട്ടി മേയറായും തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടു.

കെ.സി. വേണുഗോപാല്‍, ദീപ ദാസ് മുന്‍ഷി തുടങ്ങിയ എഐസിസി നേതാക്കളെ പണപ്പെട്ടിയുമായി കണ്ടവര്‍ക്കാണ് പരിഗണന ലഭിച്ചതെന്നും താന്‍ പണമില്ലാത്ത സാധാരണക്കാരി ആയതിനാല്‍ തഴയപ്പെട്ടുവെന്നും അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

സസ്‌പെന്‍ഷന്‍ നടപടിയെ സന്തോഷപൂര്‍വ്വം സ്വീകരിക്കുന്നുവെന്നും തന്റെ വായടപ്പിക്കാന്‍ വേണ്ടിയാണ് ഈ നടപടിയെന്നുമാണ് അവര്‍ പ്രതികരിച്ചത്. നടപടിയെടുത്താല്‍ ഇനിയും പല വെളിപ്പെടുത്തലുകളും നടത്തുമെന്നും അവര്‍ മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കി. എന്നാല്‍ വോട്ടെടുപ്പില്‍ താന്‍ കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥിക്ക് തന്നെ വോട്ട് ചെയ്യുമെന്നും പാര്‍ട്ടിക്കെതിരെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കില്ലെന്നും അവര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.
