താമരശ്ശേരി : താമരശ്ശേരി ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തിലെ 11-ാം വാര്‍ഡായ കരിങ്ങമണ്ണയില്‍ 'ഫ്രഷ് കട്ട്' സമര നേതാവ് ബാബു കുടുക്കില്‍ ഒളിവിലിരുന്നു മത്സരിച്ചു ജയിച്ചു.

മുസ്ലിം ലീഗ് (യു.ഡി.എഫ്.) സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥിയായാണ് അദ്ദേഹം മത്സരിച്ചത്. 'ഫ്രഷ് കട്ട്' മാലിന്യ സംസ്‌കരണ പ്ലാന്റിനെതിരെ നടന്ന സമരവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട കേസില്‍ പ്രതിയായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഒളിവിലിരുന്നാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രചാരണം നടത്തിയതും തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ വിജയിച്ചതും.

ഇരുതുള്ളി പുഴ സംരക്ഷണ സമിതിയുടെ ചെയര്‍മാന്‍ കൂടിയായ ബാബു കുടുക്കിലിന്റെ വിജയം രാഷ്ട്രീയ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില്‍ വലിയ ശ്രദ്ധ നേടിയിരുന്നു. ഒളിവിലിരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥി വിജയിച്ചതിലൂടെ, തങ്ങളുടെ സമരത്തിന് ജനങ്ങള്‍ നല്‍കിയ പിന്തുണയായാണ് അണികള്‍ ഇതിനെ കാണുന്നത്.
