കൊച്ചി: നടി ആക്രമിക്കപ്പെട്ട കേസിലെ രണ്ടാം പ്രതി മാര്‍ട്ടിനും ആറാം പ്രതി പ്രദീപും കോടതിയില്‍ പൊട്ടിക്കരഞ്ഞു. ഭാര്യയും കുട്ടികളുമുണ്ടെന്നും ശിക്ഷ ഒഴിവാക്കണമെന്നും ഇവര്‍ കോടതിയോട് കരഞ്ഞപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

എല്ലാ പ്രതികളും തങ്ങള്‍ നിരപരാധികളാണെന്നും, ശിക്ഷയില്‍ ഇളവ് വേണമെന്നും കോടതിയോട് അപേക്ഷിച്ചു.

ഒന്നാം പ്രതിയായ പള്‍സര്‍ സുനി, തനിക്ക് വീട്ടില്‍ അമ്മ മാത്രമേയുള്ളൂ എന്നും അമ്മയെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുന്നത് താനാണെന്നും അതിനാല്‍ ശിക്ഷയില്‍ ഇളവ് വേണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

നാലാം പ്രതിയായ വിജീഷ്, തന്റെ നാട് തലശ്ശേരിയാണെന്നും, കണ്ണൂര്‍ ജയിലിലേക്ക് അയക്കണമെന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

എല്ലാ പ്രതികള്‍ക്കും പരമാവധി ശിക്ഷ നല്‍കണമെന്ന് പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു. ഗൂഢാലോചന തെളിഞ്ഞാല്‍ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും ഉത്തരവാദിത്തമുണ്ടെന്നും ഒന്നാം പ്രതിയാണ് പ്രധാന കുറ്റകൃത്യം ചെയ്തതെങ്കിലും മറ്റുള്ളവര്‍ അതിനുവേണ്ടി കൂട്ടായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിച്ചതിനാല്‍ ഒന്നാം പ്രതിയുടെ അതേ ശിക്ഷ തന്നെ എല്ലാവര്‍ക്കും നല്‍കണമെന്നും പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ വാദിച്ചു.

എന്നാല്‍, കുറ്റകൃത്യത്തിലെ പങ്കാളിത്തം അനുസരിച്ചല്ലേ ഓരോരുത്തര്‍ക്കും ശിക്ഷ വിധിക്കേണ്ടതെന്ന് കോടതി പ്രോസിക്യൂഷനോട് ചോദിച്ചു. എങ്കിലും എല്ലാ പ്രതികള്‍ക്കും ഒരേപോലെ ശിക്ഷ നല്‍കണമെന്ന് പ്രോസിക്യൂഷന്‍ ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ചു.

2017 ഫെബ്രുവരി 17-ന് അങ്കമാലി അത്താണിക്കു സമീപം നടിയുടെ കാര്‍ തടഞ്ഞുനിര്‍ത്തി അതിക്രമിച്ചു കയറിയ സംഘം നടിയെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കുകയും മാനഭംഗപ്പെടുത്തുകയും ആ ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ ചിത്രീകരിച്ചുവെന്നുമാണ് കേസ്.

Summary: Martin, the second accused, and Pradeep, the sixth accused in the actress assault case, broke down in court. They tearfully pleaded with the court, stating they have wives and children, and requested their sentences to be waived.
