കൊച്ചി : ലൈംഗിക ബന്ധത്തിനു ശേഷം ബിന്ദു എന്ന യുവതി പണം കൂടുതല്‍ ചോദിച്ചതാണ് കൊച്ചിയിലെ കൊലപാതകത്തിനു കാരണമെന്ന് പൊലീസ്. 

ലൈംഗിക തൊഴിലാളിയായ ബിന്ദുവിനെ പ്രതി കോന്തുരുത്തി സ്വദേശി ജോര്‍ജ് 500 രൂപറഞ്ഞുറപ്പിച്ചാണ് വിളിച്ചത്. ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ശേഷം ഇവര്‍ 2000 രൂപ ചോദിച്ചു. ഇതോടെ തകര്‍ക്കമായി. മദ്യലഹരിയിലായിരുന്ന ജോര്‍ജ് കമ്പിപ്പാരയ്ക്കു ബിന്ദുവിന്റെ തലയ്ക്കടിച്ചു. രണ്ടാമത്തെ അടിയില്‍ തന്നെ ബിന്ദു മരിച്ചുവെന്നാണ് എറണാകുളം സെന്‍ട്രല്‍ എ.സി.പി. സിബി ടോം മാധ്യമങ്ങളോട് പറഞ്ഞു.

മകളുടെ കുഞ്ഞിന്റെ ജന്മനാള്‍ ആഘോഷിക്കാനായി ഭാര്യ പോയിരുന്ന സമയത്താണ് ജോര്‍ജ് ലൈംഗിക തൊഴിലാളിയെ സമീപിച്ചത്. 

ചാക്കില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയ മൃതദേഹം ബിന്ദുവിന്റേതാണെന്ന് സ്ഥിരീകരിച്ചു. ജോര്‍ജിന്റെ വീട്ടിനുള്ളില്‍ രക്തക്കറ കണ്ടെത്തിയിരുന്നു.

എറണാകുളം ടൗണ്‍ സൗത്ത് പോലീസാണ് ജോര്‍ജിനെ കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തത്. ജോര്‍ജിന്റെ വീടിനടുത്തുള്ള നടപ്പാതയിലാണ് മൃതദേഹം കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. മൃതദേഹം ഭാഗികമായി ചാക്കില്‍ പൊതിഞ്ഞ നിലയിലായിരുന്നു. അതിനടുത്ത് തന്നെ മദ്യപിച്ചു ബോധം പോയ നിലയില്‍ ജോര്‍ജും ഇരിപ്പുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. 

മദ്യലഹരിയിലും കടുത്ത ക്ഷീണത്തിലും ആയിരുന്നതിനാല്‍ മൃതദേഹം ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാനുള്ള ജോര്‍ജിന്റെ ശ്രമം പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു. പുലര്‍ച്ചെ അഞ്ചു മണിയോടെയാണ് ഇയാള്‍ മൃതദേഹം റോഡില്‍ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിച്ചത്.

പ്രദേശത്തെ ഹരിതകര്‍മ്മ സേന പ്രവര്‍ത്തകരാണ് മൃതദേഹം ആദ്യം കണ്ടത്. അവര്‍ കൗണ്‍സിലറെയും തുടര്‍ന്ന് പോലീസിനെയും വിവരം അറിയിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കുറച്ചു ദിവസങ്ങളായി ഭാര്യ മകളെ കാണാന്‍ പോയതിനാല്‍ ജോര്‍ജ് വീട്ടില്‍ തനിച്ചായിരുന്നു.

The accused, George, a resident of Konthuruthy, called Bindu, a sex worker, after agreeing on a price of Rs 500. After engaging in the act, she demanded Rs 2000. This led to an argument. George, who was under the influence of alcohol, hit Bindu on the head with an iron rod. Ernakulam Central ACP Sibi Tom told the media that Bindu died after the second blow.

George had approached the sex worker while his wife was away celebrating his daughter's child's birthday. The body found in the sack was confirmed to be Bindu's. Bloodstains were found inside George's house.

The Ernakulam Town South Police took George into custody. The body was found on the pavement near George's house, partially wrapped in a sack. George was found sitting nearby, intoxicated and unconscious.
