Fund Scam: Shwetha discovered that certain former office-bearers of AMMA had carried out financial irregularities and fund embezzlement worth lakhs of rupees.
Money of the Destitute: This money was embezzled from the welfare fund set aside for the treatment, medicines, and food of struggling and vulnerable artists.
Assault Attempt and Threats: The attempts to defame her began the moment she started questioning these financial discrepancies. Shwetha revealed that there was even an attempt to physically assault her during a General Body meeting, and due to that mental distress, she had initially wished to leave the organization.
Reply to Social Media Trolls
Shwetha gave a fitting reply to trolls on social media who mock AMMA members as "out-of-field" (unemployed) actors. She emphasized that the organization's true core objective is charity:
It is to ensure that ordinary artists without a steady income can live with dignity and buy medicines that welfare assistance like 'Kaineettam' is provided.
To raise funds for this, superstars including Mammootty and Mohanlal set aside their valuable time to participate in AMMA's shows without taking any remuneration.
Reply to Communal Allegations: Shwetha completely rejected the corporate-communal allegations that surfaced recently. "We have never looked at whether the help comes from a Hindu, a Muslim, a Christian, Ambani, or Adani. We have always accepted everyone who came forward to help with the same gratitude," Shwetha wrote.

Shwetha made it clear that she will not back down despite facing stiff opposition and political-communal counter-allegations from a section of women film professionals, including Ansiba Hassan and Maala Parvathy.
