ന്യൂഡല്ഹി : ഇന്ത്യയിലെ പരീക്ഷാ സംവിധാനങ്ങള് മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനും സര്ക്കാരിന് റിപ്പോര്ട്ട് സമര്പ്പിക്കുന്നതിനുമായി ഇന്ഫോസിസ് സഹസ്ഥാപകന് നന്ദന് നിലേകനിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില് ഒരു ടാസ്ക് ഫോഴ്സ് രൂപീകരിക്കുമെന്ന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി വീഡിയോ സന്ദേശത്തിലൂടെ അറിയിച്ചു.
ആ റിപ്പോര്ട്ടിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്, 'വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന പരീക്ഷകളുടെ വിശ്വാസ്യത ഉറപ്പാക്കാനുള്ള പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങള് നടത്തും,' എക്സില് പങ്കുവച്ച വീഡിയോയില് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
നിലേകനിക്ക് പുറമെ വിവിധ മേഖലകളില് നിന്നുള്ള വിദഗ്ധരും ഈ ടാസ്ക് ഫോഴ്സില് അംഗങ്ങളാണ്. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയുടെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാടിലൂടെയും ഘടനാപരമായ പരിഷ്കാരങ്ങളിലൂടെയും രാജ്യത്തെ പരീക്ഷാ സംവിധാനങ്ങള് മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താന് ഇവര് സഹായിക്കും.
ഇന്ത്യന് സ്പേസ് റിസര്ച്ച് ഓര്ഗനൈസേഷന് (ഐ.എസ്.ആര്.ഒ) മുന് ചെയര്മാന് എസ്. സോമനാഥ്, ഇന്റലിജന്സ് ബ്യൂറോ മുന് ഡയറക്ടര് തപന് ദേഖ, ഐ.ഐ.ടി ചെന്നൈ ഡയറക്ടര് വി. കാമകോടി, മുന് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സെക്രട്ടറി അനിത കര്വാള്, ലോജിസ്റ്റിക്സ് വിദഗ്ദ്ധന് അമൃത് ലാല് മീണ എന്നിവരാണ് ടാസ്ക് ഫോഴ്സിലെ മറ്റ് അംഗങ്ങള്.
'സുഹൃത്തുക്കളെ, വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളുടെ ഭാവിക്കായി ഭാരത സര്ക്കാര് തുടര്ച്ചയായി നിരവധി നടപടികള് സ്വീകരിച്ചു വരുന്നു. വിദ്യാര്ത്ഥികളുടെ ഭാവി വച്ച് കളിച്ചവര് ജയിലുകളില് കിടന്ന് നശിക്കുകയാണ്. നമ്മള് ഫാസ്റ്റ് ട്രാക്ക് കോടതികള് സ്ഥാപിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. നാളെ പാര്ലമെന്റിലും കര്ശനമായ നിയമ വ്യവസ്ഥകളോടെ പുതിയ നിയമം നിര്മ്മിക്കുന്ന ദിശയിലേക്ക് നമ്മള് മുന്നേറുകയാണ്,' പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
ചോദ്യപേപ്പര് ചോര്ച്ചയ്ക്കെതിരെയുള്ള പ്രതിഷേധങ്ങള്ക്ക് പിന്നാലെ ധര്മ്മേന്ദ്ര പ്രധാന് കേന്ദ്ര വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രിസ്ഥാനം രാജിവച്ചതിന് തൊട്ടടുത്ത ദിവസമാണ് ഈ പ്രഖ്യാപനം വരുന്നത്.
'പക്ഷേ, നമ്മള് ഭാവിയെക്കുറിച്ച് ചിന്തിക്കണം. നമ്മുടെ പരീക്ഷാ സംവിധാനം വിശ്വാസയോഗ്യവും സുതാര്യവുമായിരിക്കണം, കൂടാതെ നമ്മുടെ പരീക്ഷാ സംവിധാനത്തില് ഇനി സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയുടെ പരമാവധി ഉപയോഗം ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം.'
'ഇക്കാര്യങ്ങളെല്ലാം മനസ്സില് വച്ചുകൊണ്ട്, പരീക്ഷാ പരിഷ്കരണത്തില് ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നതിനായി പ്രശസ്ത സാങ്കേതിക വിദഗ്ദ്ധന് നന്ദന് നിലേകനിയുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തില് ഒരു ഉന്നതതല ടാസ്ക് ഫോഴ്സ് രൂപീകരിക്കാന് തീരുമാനിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. അതിന്റെ റിപ്പോര്ട്ടിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില് വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന പരീക്ഷകളുടെ വിശ്വാസ്യത ഉറപ്പാക്കാനുള്ള പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങള് എത്രയും വേഗം നടപ്പിലാക്കും,' പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു.
'ഇ-ഗവ്' ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്റെ സഹസ്ഥാപകന് എന്ന നിലയില്, സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യയിലൂടെ നഗര ഭരണനിര്വ്വഹണം മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതില് നിലേകനി നിര്ണായക പങ്കുവഹിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മെച്ചപ്പെട്ട സേവനങ്ങള് നല്കുന്നതിനും പൗരന്മാരുടെ ജീവിതനിലവാരം ഉയര്ത്തുന്നതിനും നഗര തദ്ദേശ സ്വയംഭരണ സ്ഥാപനങ്ങള്ക്ക് ആവശ്യമായ ഡിജിറ്റല് പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകള് നിര്മ്മിക്കുന്നതിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ശ്രദ്ധ കേന്ദ്രീകരിക്കുന്നത്.
യൂണിക്ക് ഐഡന്റിഫിക്കേഷന് അതോറിറ്റി ഒഫ് ഇന്ത്യയുടെ സ്ഥാപക ചെയര്മാന് എന്ന നിലയിലുള്ള പ്രവര്ത്തനങ്ങള് ഉള്പ്പെടെ രണ്ടു പതിറ്റാണ്ടിലേറെയുള്ള നേതൃപരിചയമുള്ള നിലേകനി, സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ വലിയ തോതില് ഉപയോഗപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതില് മികച്ച അറിവുള്ള വ്യക്തിയാണ്.
അദ്ദേഹം സഹസ്ഥാപകനായ മറ്റൊരു സംരംഭമായ എക്സ്റ്റെപ്പ് ഫൗണ്ടേഷന്, ഡിജിറ്റല് പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമിലൂടെ ദശലക്ഷക്കണക്കിന് കുട്ടികളുടെ അടിസ്ഥാന സാക്ഷരതയും സംഖ്യാശാസ്ത്ര പരിജ്ഞാനവും മെച്ചപ്പെടുത്താന് ലക്ഷ്യമിടുന്നു.
ഐ.ഐ.ടി ബോംബെയില് നിന്ന് ബിരുദം നേടിയ നിലേകനിയെ പത്മഭൂഷണ്, ജോസഫ് ഷുംപീറ്റര് പ്രൈസ് ഉള്പ്പെടെ നിരവധി പുരസ്കാരങ്ങള് നല്കി ആദരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in a video statement today that a task force headed by Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani will look into how to improve India's examination systems and submit a report to the government.
Based on that report, "the work to ensure the reliability of upcoming examinations will be done," the Prime Minister said in a video posted on X.
Apart from Nilekani, domain experts from different streams are also members of this task force. They will help improve the country's examination systems, especially from a technology perspective and for structural reforms.
The other members of the task force are former Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chairman S. Somanath, former Intelligence Bureau director Tapan Deka, IIT Madras director V. Kamakoti, former education secretary Anita Karwal, and logistics expert Amrit Lal Meena.
"Friends, for the future of students, the Government of India is continuously taking several steps. Those who played with the future of students are rotting in jails. We have set up fast-track courts. Tomorrow in parliament too, we are moving forward in the direction of making a new law with strict legal provisions," the Prime Minister said.
The announcement comes a day after Dharmendra Pradhan resigned as the Union Education Minister following protests over paper leaks.
"But we must think for the future. Our examination system should be reliable, our examination system should be transparent, and our examination system should now have the maximum use of technology."
"Keeping all these things in mind, a decision has been made to form a high-level task force under the leadership of world-renowned technology expert Nandan Nilekani, which will focus on examination reform. Based on its report, the work to ensure the reliability of upcoming examinations will be implemented at the earliest," the Prime Minister said.
As a co-founder of the 'eGov' Foundation, Nilekani has played a pivotal role in improving urban governance through technology. He focuses on building digital platforms required by urban local bodies to deliver better services and improve the quality of life for citizens.
With over two decades of leadership experience, including his role as the founding chairman of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Nilekani brings a wealth of knowledge in leveraging technology on a large scale.
Another initiative he co-founded, the EkStep Foundation, aims to improve basic literacy and numeracy for millions of children through a digital platform.
Nilekani holds a degree from IIT Bombay and has been honored with several awards, including the Padma Bhushan and the Joseph Schumpeter Prize.
