15 Indian Tourists Killed After Boat Capsizes in Vietnam Due to Strong Winds
ഹോ ചി മിന് സിറ്റി : വിയറ്റ്നാമിലെ ഫു കുവോക്ക് ദ്വീപിന് സമീപം വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികള് സഞ്ചരിച്ച ബോട്ടം മറിഞ്ഞ് 15 ഇന്ത്യന് വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികള് മരിച്ചു. ഹോണ് മേ റൂട്ട് ദ്വീപില് നിന്ന് അന് തോയി തുറമുഖത്തേക്ക് പോകുകയായിരുന്ന ബോട്ടാണ് അപകടത്തില്പ്പെട്ടത്. കനത്ത കാറ്റും പ്രക്ഷുബ്ധമായ കടലുമാണ് അപകടകാരണമെന്ന് റിപ്പോര്ട്ടുകള് സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു.
ബോട്ടില് 32 വിനോദസഞ്ചാരികളും നാല് ജീവനക്കാരുമടക്കം 36 പേരാണ് ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നത്. 21 പേരെ രക്ഷപ്പെടുത്തി ആശുപത്രിയില് പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു. ഇതില് രണ്ടുപേരുടെ നില ഗുരുതരമാണ്. രക്ഷാപ്രവര്ത്തനം തുടരുകയാണ്.
അപകടത്തില്പ്പെട്ടവര്ക്ക് സഹായം നല്കുന്നതിനായി ഇന്ത്യന് എംബസിയും ഹോ ചി മിന് സിറ്റിയിലെ കോണ്സുലേറ്റ് ജനറലും കണ്ട്രോള് റൂമുകള് തുറന്നിട്ടുണ്ട്.

Summary: At least 15 Indian tourists were killed after a boat carrying tourists overturned near Phu Quoc Island in Vietnam. The vessel was traveling from Hon May Rut Island to An Thoi Port when the accident occurred. Reports indicate that strong winds and rough seas caused the tragedy.
There were 36 people on board the boat, including 32 tourists and four crew members. Twenty-one people have been rescued and admitted to the hospital, with two of them reportedly in critical condition. Search and rescue operations are currently underway.
The Indian Embassy and the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City have set up control rooms to assist those affected.
