Woman Conceals MDMA in Private Parts, 7 Arrested Including Two Women; Major Drug Bust in Thrissur

തൃശൂര്‍: തൃശൂരില്‍ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് കടത്തിയതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് രണ്ട് സ്ത്രീകള്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെ ഏഴ് പേരെ പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു. കാറില്‍ യാത്ര ചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടെ പ്രതികളായ സ്ത്രീകളില്‍ ഒരാള്‍ തന്റെ രഹസ്യഭാഗത്ത് രണ്ട് ഗ്രാം സിന്തറ്റിക് മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ഒളിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നതായി സിറ്റി ഡിസ്ട്രിക്റ്റ് ആന്റി നാര്‍ക്കോട്ടിക് സ്‌പെഷ്യല്‍ ആക്ഷന്‍ ഫോഴ്‌സ് കണ്ടെത്തി.

തൃശൂര്‍ വാണിയമ്പാറയില്‍ നടന്ന വാഹന പരിശോധനയ്ക്കിടയിലാണ് ലഹരിവിരുദ്ധ ഓപ്പറേഷന് തുടക്കമായത്. പാലക്കാടന്‍ റിസോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ നിന്നു തൃശൂരിലേക്ക് വരികയായിരുന്ന സ്വിഫ്റ്റ് കാര്‍ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ തടഞ്ഞുനിര്‍ത്തുകയായിരുന്നു. വാഹനത്തിലുണ്ടായിരുന്ന ഗുരുവായൂര്‍-പാവറട്ടി സ്വദേശികളായ ഷിഫാസ് (26), വിദ്യ (28), ജിഷ്ണു (27), ശ്രീലക്ഷ്മി (20) എന്നിവരെയാണ് പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്.

പരിശോധനയ്ക്കിടയിലാണ് സ്ത്രീകളില്‍ ഒരാളുടെ രഹസ്യഭാഗത്ത് ഒളിപ്പിച്ച നിലയില്‍ രണ്ട് ഗ്രാം എം ഡി എം എ പോലീസ് കണ്ടെടുത്തത്. 

പിടിയിലായ പ്രതികളെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തതില്‍ നിന്ന് ലഭിച്ച വിവരത്തിന്റെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തില്‍ ഷിഫാസിന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ നടത്തിയ പരിശോധനയില്‍ 18 ഗ്രാം എം ഡി എം എ കൂടി പോലീസ് കണ്ടെടുത്തു.

തുടര്‍ന്ന് നടത്തിയ അന്വേഷണം ചാവക്കാട് പഞ്ചാരമുക്കിലെ ഒരു അലുമിനിയം ഫാബ്രിക്കേഷന്‍ വര്‍ക്ക്ഷോപ്പിലേക്കാണ് പോലീസിനെ എത്തിച്ചത്. ഒരൊറ്റ കവറിനുള്ളില്‍ മൂന്ന് പാക്കറ്റുകളാക്കി സൂക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്ന 288 ഗ്രാം എം ഡി എം എ  കൂടി ഈ വര്‍ക്ക്ഷോപ്പില്‍ നിന്ന് കണ്ടെടുത്തതായി പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു. ഈ അന്വേഷണത്തിനിടയില്‍, മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ശൃംഖലയുടെ ഭാഗമാണെന്ന് സംശയിക്കുന്ന ഷബീര്‍ (34), അന്‍ഷാദ് (31), ടി.ടി. സുമേഷ് (25) എന്നിവരെയും പോലീസ് അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു.

പ്രതികളുടെ മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണ്‍ രേഖകള്‍ പരിശോധിച്ചതില്‍ നിന്നാണ് മറ്റ് പ്രതികളെ കണ്ടെത്താനും ഇത്രയും വലിയ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് ശേഖരം പിടിച്ചെടുക്കാനും കഴിഞ്ഞതെന്ന് അന്വേഷണ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ഈ ഓപ്പറേഷനിലൂടെ ആകെ 308 ഗ്രാം എം ഡി എം എ ആണ് പിടിച്ചെടുത്തത്. സമീപമാസങ്ങളില്‍ തൃശൂര്‍ ജില്ലയിലുണ്ടായ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ മയക്കുമരുന്ന് വേട്ടകളിലൊന്നാണിത്.

Summary: Seven people, including two women, have been arrested in Thrissur in connection with a drug smuggling case. The City District Anti-Narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) discovered that one of the female accused had allegedly concealed two grams of synthetic drugs in her private parts while travelling in a car.

The anti-drug operation began during a vehicle inspection at Vaniyampara in Thrissur, where officers intercepted a Swift car travelling from a resort in Palakkad to Thrissur. Those arrested from the vehicle were identified as Shifas (26), Vidya (28), Jishnu (27), and Sreelakshmi (20)—all residents of the Guruvayur-Pavaratty region.

During the search, police recovered two grams of MDMA hidden in the private parts of one of the women.

Based on the information obtained from interrogating the arrested accused, the police conducted a search at Shifas' house and recovered an additional 18 grams of MDMA.

Further investigation led the police to an aluminium fabrication workshop in Pancharamukku, Chavakkad. Police said they recovered another 288 grams of MDMA from the workshop, where the narcotics had been hidden in three separate packets inside a single cover. During this phase of the investigation, police also arrested Shabir (34), Anshad (31), and T.T. Sumesh (25), who are suspected to be part of the drug network.

Investigating officers clarified that analyzing the mobile phone records of the accused helped them trace the remaining suspects and seize such a large cache of narcotics.

A total of 308 grams of MDMA was seized during this operation, making it one of the biggest drug busts in Thrissur district in recent months.
