Massive Participation in Cockroach Janta Party Protest at Jantar Mantar Demanding Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan's Resignation

ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: നീറ്റ് ചോദ്യപേപ്പര്‍ ചോര്‍ച്ചയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രി ധര്‍മേന്ദ്ര പ്രധാന്‍ രാജിവയ്ക്കണമെന്ന് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ട് 'കോക്രോച്ച് ജനതാ പാര്‍ട്ടി' എന്ന സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോം ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ നടത്തിയ പ്രതിഷേധത്തില്‍ വന്‍ ജനപങ്കാളിത്തം. യുവാക്കളാണ് പ്രതിഷേധിക്കാനായി ഒത്തുകൂടിയവരില്‍ അധികവും.

പ്രശസ്ത പരിസ്ഥിതി പ്രവര്‍ത്തകനും നവസംരംഭകനുമായ സോനം വാങ്ചുക്കും ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹിയിലെ ജന്തര്‍ മന്തറില്‍ നടന്ന 'കോക്രോച്ച് ജനതാ പാര്‍ട്ടി' പ്രതിഷേധത്തില്‍ പങ്കുചേര്‍ന്നു.

ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ തന്നെ കോക്രോച്ച് ജനതാ പാര്‍ട്ടിക്ക് പ്രതിഷേധം നടത്തുന്നതിനായി ഡല്‍ഹി പോലീസ് അനുമതി നല്‍കിയിരുന്നു. സമരത്തിന് നേതൃത്വം നല്‍കാനായി 'കോക്രോച്ച് ജനതാ പാര്‍ട്ടി' സ്ഥാപകന്‍ അഭിജീത് ദിപ്‌കെ ശനിയാഴ്ച രാവിലെ യുഎസില്‍ നിന്ന് ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ വിമാനമിറങ്ങി. വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ വച്ച് ഡല്‍ഹി പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥര്‍ അദ്ദേഹവുമായി കൂടിക്കാഴ്ച നടത്തുകയും പ്രതിഷേധത്തിനായി ജന്തര്‍ മന്തറിലേക്ക് പോകാന്‍ അനുവാദം നല്‍കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

പ്രതിഷേധത്തിന് അനുമതി തേടുന്നതിനായി പാര്‍ലമെന്റ് സ്ട്രീറ്റ് പോലീസ് സ്റ്റേഷന് മുന്നില്‍ ഒത്തുകൂടാന്‍ ദിപ്‌കെ നേരത്തെ തന്റെ അനുയായികളോട് ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ പോലീസ് അനുമതി നല്‍കിയതോടെ, നേരിട്ട് ജന്തര്‍ മന്തറിലേക്ക് എത്താന്‍ അദ്ദേഹം അനുയായികളോട് അഭ്യര്‍ത്ഥിച്ചു. സാമൂഹിക പരിഷ്‌കര്‍ത്താവും ഭരണഘടനാ ശില്പിയുമായ ബി.ആര്‍. അംബേദ്കറുടെ ആത്മകഥയുടെ കോപ്പിയുമായാണ് ദിപ്‌കെ വിമാനത്താവളത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് പുറത്തേക്ക് വന്നത്.

പ്രതിഷേധത്തിന്റെ പശ്ചാത്തലത്തില്‍ ഡല്‍ഹി പോലീസ് കര്‍ശന സുരക്ഷാ ക്രമീകരണങ്ങളാണ് ഏര്‍പ്പെടുത്തിയത്. സെന്‍ട്രല്‍ ഡല്‍ഹിയിലെ പ്രതിഷേധ സ്ഥലത്തും പരിസര പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലുമായി രണ്ടായിരത്തോളം പോലീസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെയാണ് വിന്യസിച്ചു.

പ്രതിഷേധ സ്ഥലത്ത് വിതരണം ചെയ്ത ലഘുലേഖയില്‍, 'ഉത്തരവാദിത്തം പുലര്‍ത്തുക, നീതി തേടുക, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ മന്ത്രി ധര്‍മേന്ദ്ര പ്രധാന്‍ രാജി വയ്ക്കുക' എന്നിവയാണ് തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രകടനത്തിന്റെ ലക്ഷ്യമെന്ന് പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ധര്‍മേന്ദ്ര പ്രധാന്റെ രാജി ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടുകൊണ്ടുള്ള പാര്‍ട്ടിയുടെ ഓണ്‍ലൈന്‍ നിവേദനത്തില്‍ എട്ട് ലക്ഷത്തിലധികം ആളുകള്‍ ഒപ്പുവച്ചിട്ടുണ്ടെന്നും ലഘുലേഖയില്‍ പറയുന്നു.

ചീഫ് ജസ്റ്റിസ് സൂര്യകാന്തിന്റെ 'പരാദങ്ങള്‍', 'പാറ്റകള്‍' എന്ന പരാമര്‍ശത്തെച്ചൊല്ലിയുണ്ടായ വിവാദത്തെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് മെയ് 16-നാണ് അഭിജീത് ദിപ്‌കെ 'കോക്രോച്ച് ജനതാ പാര്‍ട്ടി' എന്ന ആക്ഷേപഹാസ്യ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ കൂട്ടായ്മയ്ക്ക് രൂപം നല്‍കിയത്. മണിക്കൂറുകള്‍ക്കകം തന്നെ ഈ കൂട്ടായ്മ ഇന്റര്‍നെറ്റില്‍ തരംഗമാവുകയും സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയ പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമുകളിലുടനീളം ദശലക്ഷക്കണക്കിനു ഫോളോവേഴ്‌സിനെ നേടുകയും ചെയ്തു.

The Delhi Police had granted permission to the Cockroach Janta Party to hold the protest early Saturday morning. To lead the strike, Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the 'Cockroach Janta Party,' landed in Delhi from the US on Saturday morning. Delhi Police officials met him at the airport and permitted him to proceed to Jantar Mantar for the protest.

Dipke had earlier requested his followers to gather in front of the Parliament Street Police Station to seek permission for the protest. However, once the police granted permission, he appealed to his supporters to reach Jantar Mantar directly. Dipke emerged from the airport carrying a copy of the autobiography of social reformer and architect of the Constitution, B.R. Ambedkar.

In light of the protest, the Delhi Police made strict security arrangements. Around 2,000 police personnel were deployed at the protest site and surrounding areas in Central Delhi.

In a pamphlet distributed at the protest site, the protesters stated that the goals of their demonstration were to "ensure accountability, seek justice, and demand the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan." The pamphlet also noted that the party's online petition seeking Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation has been signed by more than 8 lakh people.

Abhijeet Dipke formed the satirical digital collective 'Cockroach Janta Party' on May 16, following the controversy surrounding Chief Justice Surya Kant's remarks regarding "parasites" and "cockroaches." Within hours, the collective became an internet sensation, gaining millions of followers across various social media platforms.
