Over 40 Sexual Videos Involving 12 Women Found on Dr. Johnson Varghese's Phone; Search Ongoing for Accused, No Bail for Doctor’s Attackers
കൊച്ചി: യുവനടിയുടെ ബന്ധുവിനെ പീഡിപ്പിച്ച കേസില്‍ പ്രതിയായ ഡോക്ടര്‍ ജോണ്‍സണ്‍ വര്‍ഗീസിന്റെ മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണില്‍ നിന്ന് മറ്റ് 12 സ്ത്രീകള്‍ക്കൊപ്പമുള്ള സ്വകാര്യ/അശ്ലീല ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ പോലീസ് കണ്ടെടുത്തു. പരാതികള്‍ ലഭിക്കുന്ന മുറയ്ക്ക് കൂടുതല്‍ കേസെടുക്കുമെന്ന് പോലീസ് അറിയിച്ചു.
കൊച്ചിയിലെ ഫ്‌ളാറ്റില്‍ വച്ച് തന്നെ മര്‍ദിക്കുകയും പണം കവര്‍ച്ച ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്തുവെന്ന് കാണിച്ച് ഡോക്ടര്‍ കടവന്ത്ര പോലീസില്‍ ആദ്യം പരാതി നല്കിയിരുന്നു. യുവനടി, നടന്‍ ബിബിന്‍ പെരുമ്പള്ളി എന്നിവരുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള സംഘമാണ് തന്നെ ആക്രമിച്ചതെന്നായിരുന്നു ഡോക്ടറുടെ പരാതി. ഈ സംഭവത്തില്‍ നടി ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ളവര്‍ അറസ്റ്റിലാവുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു.
ഇതിനുപിന്നാലെ നടിയുടെ ബന്ധുവായ 50 വയസ്സുള്ള സ്ത്രീ ഡോക്ടര്‍ക്കെതിരെ ഗുരുതരമായ പീഡന പരാതിയുമായി രംഗത്തെത്തി. ഇന്‍ഫോപാര്‍ക്ക് പരിധിയിലെ ഒരു ഹോട്ടലില്‍ വച്ച് മദ്യം നല്‍കി അവശയാക്കിയ ശേഷം ഡോക്ടര്‍ തന്നെ ഹോട്ടലിലേക്കു കൊണ്ടുപോയി ലൈംഗികമായി പീഡിപ്പിച്ചു എന്നാണ് പരാതിക്കാരി ആരോപിച്ചത്. ഇതിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് ഡോക്ടര്‍ക്കെതിരെ പോലീസ് ബലാത്സംഗ കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തു.
നേരത്തെ ഡോക്ടറെ മര്‍ദിച്ച കേസുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് പരാതിക്കാരില്‍ നിന്ന് ഡോക്ടറുടെ ഫോണ്‍ പോലീസ് കസ്റ്റഡിയിലെടുത്തിരുന്നു. തന്റെ രണ്ടു ഫോണുകളും ആക്രമണ വേളയില്‍ പിടിച്ചെടുത്തിരുന്നുവെന്ന് പൊലീസിന് ഡോക്ടര്‍ പരാതി നല്കിയിരുന്നു. ഈ ഫോണുകള്‍ ശാസ്ത്രീയ പരിശോധനയിനടത്തിയപ്പോഴാണ് 12 സ്ത്രീകളുടെ സ്വകാര്യ അശ്ലീല ദൃശ്യങ്ങളുടെ നാല്പതോളം വീഡിയോകള്‍) കണ്ടെടുത്തത്.
തനിക്ക് മദ്യം നല്‍കി ബോധരഹിതയാക്കിയ ശേഷം ഹോട്ടല്‍ മുറിയില്‍ വച്ച് ലൈംഗികമായി പീഡിപ്പിക്കുകയും ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ മൊബൈല്‍ ഫോണില്‍ പകര്‍ത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു എന്നാണ് പരാതിക്കാരി വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്. ഈ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ തെളിവുകള്‍ ഫോറന്‍സിക് പരിശോധനയ്ക്ക് വിധേയമാക്കിയപ്പോഴാണ് ഡോക്ടറുടെ ഫോണില്‍ നിന്ന് മറ്റ് നിരവധി സ്ത്രീകളുടെ സ്വകാര്യ ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ പോലീസ് സംഘത്തിന് ലഭിച്ചത്.
കണ്ടെത്തിയ വീഡിയോ ദൃശ്യങ്ങളില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ട മറ്റ് സ്ത്രീകളെ തിരിച്ചറിയാനുള്ള ശ്രമത്തിലാണ് പോലീസ്. കൂടുതല്‍ ഇരകള്‍ പരാതിയുമായി മുന്നോട്ടുവരികയാണെങ്കില്‍ ഡോക്ടര്‍ക്കെതിരെ കൂടുതല്‍ കേസുകള്‍ രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്യും.
പീഡന പരാതി ഉയര്‍ന്നതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് കൊച്ചിയിലെ ആസ്റ്റര്‍ മെഡിസിറ്റി ആശുപത്രി ഇയാളെ ജോലിയില്‍ നിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കി. കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തതോടെ ഒളിവില്‍ പോയ ഡോ. ജോണ്‍സണ്‍ കെ. വര്‍ഗീസിനായി (41) പോലീസ് തിരച്ചില്‍ ഊര്‍ജിതമാക്കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.
ബലാത്സംഗ കേസ് രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തതോടെ ഒളിവില്‍ പോയ ഡോക്ടര്‍ക്കായി പോലീസ് ലുക്ക് ഔട്ട് സര്‍ക്കുലര്‍ ഇറക്കാനുള്ള നടപടികള്‍ സ്വീകരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഡോക്ടര്‍ സംസ്ഥാനം വിട്ടുപോകാനോ രാജ്യം വിടാനോ സാധ്യതയുണ്ടെന്ന് കണ്ടാണിത്.
ഇതിനിടെ, ഡോക്ടറെ ആക്രമിച്ച കേസില്‍ അറസ്റ്റിലായ നടി അതുല്യ ചന്ദ്രന്‍, ബിബിന്‍ പെരുമ്പള്ളി എന്നിവരുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ളവരുടെ ജാമ്യാപേക്ഷ കോടതി തള്ളി. അന്വേഷണം പ്രാഥമിക ഘട്ടത്തിലാണെന്നും പ്രതികളെ കസ്റ്റഡിയില്‍ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്യണമെന്നും പോലീസ് കോടതിയെ അറിയിച്ചിരുന്നു.
News in English: The police have recovered private/explicit videos featuring 12 other women from the mobile phone of Dr. Johnson Varghese, an accused in the sexual assault case involving a relative of a young actress. The police stated that additional cases would be registered as more complaints are received.
Dr. Varghese had initially filed a complaint with the Kadavanthra police alleging that a group abducted him from his Kochi apartment, assaulted him, and robbed his money. In his complaint, the doctor stated that a group—including a young actress and actor Bibin Perumbally—had attacked him. Following this, the actress and others were arrested.
Subsequently, a 50-year-old woman, who is a relative of the actress, filed a serious sexual assault complaint against the doctor. The complainant alleged that the doctor offered her alcohol, rendered her helpless, took her to a hotel within the Infopark police station limits, and sexually assaulted her. Following this, the police registered a rape case against the doctor.
Earlier, during the investigation of the assault on the doctor, the police had taken custody of the doctor's phones from the accused. The doctor had complained to the police that two of his phones were seized during the attack. When these phones were subjected to forensic examination, around 40 videos containing private/explicit scenes of 12 women were discovered.
residual digital evidence revealed that the complainant had been given alcohol, rendered unconscious, sexually assaulted in a hotel room, and filmed on the mobile phone. Upon conducting detailed forensic checks on these digital evidences, the police team retrieved private videos of several other women from the doctor's phone.
Police are currently attempting to identify the other women seen in the recovered video clips. If more victims come forward with complaints, additional cases will be registered against the doctor.
Following the sexual assault allegations, Aster Medcity Hospital in Kochi terminated his employment. The police have intensified their search for Dr. Johnson K. Varghese (41), who went absconding after the case was registered.
With the registration of the rape case, police have initiated steps to issue a Lookout Circular for the absconding doctor, considering the possibility that he might attempt to flee the state or country.
Meanwhile, the court rejected the bail applications of those arrested for attacking the doctor, including actress Athulya Chandran and Bibin Perumbally. The police informed the court that the investigation is in its preliminary stage and the accused need to be interrogated in custody.
