News in English:
Just 11 days after her second marriage, a young bride was found hanging at her residence, 'Thanal', near Pippingmoodu in Thachode, Ayiroor. The deceased has been identified as Jisha (30).
Jisha was found hanging from a window in her home around 11:00 AM today. At the time of the incident, her new husband and two children from her first marriage were present in the house. Although she was immediately rushed to the Varkala Taluk Hospital, her life could not be saved.
This was Jisha's second marriage. She married Aji Natesan, a native of Varkala, on October 20 at the Guruvayur Temple. Jisha's first husband, Sharath, had died a year and a half ago in a road accident abroad. She has two daughters, aged eight and five, from her first marriage. It is reported that Jisha's family members did not attend the wedding ceremony held in Guruvayur. After the marriage, Jisha was living at her own home along with her second husband.
The Ayiroor Police have registered a case of unnatural death and initiated an investigation. The preliminary conclusion of the police is that family issues or mental distress following the marriage may have led to the suicide. Following inquest procedures, the body was shifted to Parippally Medical College for autopsy.
