ആര്‍ രാജശ്രീക്ക് വയലാര്‍ അവാര്‍ഡ്

The 50th Vayalar Ramavarma Literary Award has been awarded to R. Rajasree's novel Aathreyakam

തിരുവനന്തപുരം : അമ്പതാമത് വയലാര്‍ രാമവര്‍മ്മ സാഹിത്യ പുരസ്‌കാരം ആര്‍. രാജശ്രീയുടെ 'ആത്രേയകം' എന്ന നോവലിന് ലഭിച്ചു. ഒരു ലക്ഷം രൂപയും കനായി കുഞ്ഞിരാമന്‍ രൂപകല്‍പ്പന ചെയ്ത ശില്പവും പ്രശസ്തിപത്രവുമാണ് പുരസ്‌കാരം. 

വയലാര്‍ രാമവര്‍മ്മയുടെ ചരമദിനമായ ഒക്ടോബര്‍ 27-ന് തിരുവനന്തപുരം നിശാഗന്ധി ഓഡിറ്റോറിയത്തില്‍ വച്ച് അവാര്‍ഡ് ദാനം നിര്‍വ്വഹിക്കും. ഒ.വി. ഉഷ, സുഭാഷ് ചന്ദ്രന്‍, വി. വിജയകുമാര്‍ എന്നിവരടങ്ങുന്ന ജൂറിയാണ് അവാര്‍ഡ് നിര്‍ണ്ണയിച്ചത്. 

കണ്ണൂര്‍ പറശ്ശിനിക്കടവ് സ്വദേശിയായ ആര്‍. രാജശ്രീ തലശ്ശേരി ഗവ. ബ്രണ്ണന്‍ കോളേജ് മലയാളവിഭാഗം ഗവേഷണ കേന്ദ്രത്തില്‍ അധ്യാപികയായി സേവനമനുഷ്ഠിക്കുന്നു. 'കല്യാണിയെന്നും ദാക്ഷായണിയെന്നും പേരായ രണ്ടു സ്ത്രീകളുടെ കത' എന്ന കൃതിക്ക് 2021-ലെ കേരള സാഹിത്യ അക്കാദമി അവാര്‍ഡും ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

The 50th Vayalar Ramavarma Literary Award has been awarded to R. Rajasree's novel Aathreyakam. The prize consists of ?100,000, a sculpture designed by Kanayi Kunhiraman, and a certificate of merit. The award will be presented on October 27, the death anniversary of Vayalar Ramavarma, at the Nishagandhi Auditorium in Thiruvananthapuram. The selection was made by a jury comprising O.V. Usha, Subhash Chandran, and V. Vijayakumar.

A native of Parassinikkadavu in Kannur, R. Rajasree works as a teacher at the Malayalam Department Research Centre, Govt. Brennen College, Thalassery. She was also awarded the 2021 Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for her work Kalyaniyennum Dakshayaniyennum Peraya Rantu Sthreekalute Katha.
