പാലക്കാട് : സിപിഎം പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറി സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് ഇ.എന്‍. സുരേഷ് ബാബുവിനെ മാറ്റി വി. ചെന്താമരാക്ഷനെ പുതിയ സെക്രട്ടറിയായി നിയമിച്ചതിനു പിന്നില്‍ വനിതയുടെ പരാതിയുള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള കാര്യങ്ങളെന്നുവിവിധ മാധ്യമങ്ങള്‍ റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടു ചെയ്തു. വിശാല ജില്ലാ കമ്മിറ്റി യോഗത്തിലാണ് തീരുമാനമുണ്ടായത്.

അഭിഭാഷക സംഘടനയിലെ ഒരു വനിതാ നേതാവ് സുരേഷ് ബാബുവിനെതിരെ നല്‍കിയ പരാതിയും ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ തെളിവുകളും പാര്‍ട്ടി സംസ്ഥാന നേതൃത്വത്തിനും സെക്രട്ടറിക്കും കൈമാറിയിരുന്നു. നടപടിയുണ്ടായില്ലെങ്കില്‍ നിയമപരമായി നീങ്ങുമെന്ന് യുവതി മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് നല്‍കിയതോടെയാണ് സ്ഥാനത്തുനിന്ന് മാറാന്‍ നേതൃത്വം സുരേഷ് ബാബുവിനോട് നിര്‍ദേശിച്ചത്.

വ്യക്തിപരമായ കാരണങ്ങളാല്‍ തന്റെ അഭ്യര്‍ഥന പ്രകാരമാണ് മാറ്റിയതെന്ന് ഇ.എന്‍. സുരേഷ് ബാബു വ്യക്തമാക്കി. എന്നാല്‍ സുരേഷ് ബാബുവിനെതിരെ പരാതി ലഭിച്ചിട്ടില്ലെന്ന് വി. ചെന്താമരാക്ഷന്‍ പ്രതികരിച്ചു.

എട്ടു പേരെ പുതുതായി ജില്ലാക്കമ്മിറ്റിയില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെടുത്തുകയും ആറ് ഏരിയാ സെക്രട്ടറിമാരെ പ്രത്യേക ക്ഷണിതാക്കളാക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. സുരേഷ് ബാബുവിന്റെ പക്വതയില്ലായ്മയും ധാര്‍ഷ്ട്യത്തോടെയുള്ള പെരുമാറ്റവും പാര്‍ട്ടിക്ക് ദോഷം ചെയ്തതായി യോഗത്തില്‍ അഭിപ്രായമുയര്‍ന്നു.

വിഭാഗീയതയും വിമതപ്രശ്‌നങ്ങളും കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്യുന്നതില്‍ ജില്ലാ നേതൃത്വത്തിനുണ്ടായ ഗുരുതര വീഴ്ച കാരണം നിയമസഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ മൂന്ന മണ്ഡലങ്ങളില്‍ പാര്‍ട്ടി പരാജയപ്പെട്ടു. പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിന് പകരം ആളിക്കത്തിക്കുകയാണ് നേതൃത്വം ചെയ്തതെന്ന് വിമര്‍ശനമുയര്‍ന്നു. 2021-ലെ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പിനെ അപേക്ഷിച്ച് ജില്ലയില്‍ 67,000 വോട്ടിന്റെ കുറവുണ്ടായതായും കണ്ടെത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ചിറ്റൂരിലെ തോല്‍വിക്ക് പ്രധാന കാരണം കൊഴിഞ്ഞാമ്പാറയിലെ വിമതപ്രശ്‌നവും നല്ലേപ്പിള്ളി, പെരുവെമ്പ് എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിലെ വോട്ടുചോര്‍ച്ചയുമാണെന്നു പാര്‍ട്ടി വിലയിരുത്തി. കോങ്ങാട് സംഘടനാപരമായ മേല്‍ക്കൈ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുവെങ്കിലും സംഘടനാ പ്രശ്‌നങ്ങള്‍ മൂലം തോല്‍വിയുണ്ടായി. തൃത്താലയില്‍ പ്രാദേശിക വിഭാഗീയതയാണ് തിരിച്ചടിയായത്.

ഇതിനിടെ, സുരേഷ് ബാബു യൂത്ത് കോണ്‍ഗ്രസ് മുന്‍ സംസ്ഥാന പ്രസിഡന്റും മുന്‍ എം.എല്‍.എയുമായ രാഹുല്‍ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തി.

'എല്ലാരെയും മാറ്റാന്‍ നടന്ന, വായില്‍ വരുന്ന തോന്നിവാസം പറഞ്ഞു നടന്ന പാലക്കാട് സിപിഎം ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറി ഇ.എന്‍. സുരേഷ് ബാബുവിനെ ജില്ലാ സെക്രട്ടറി സ്ഥാനത്ത് നിന്ന് പുറത്താക്കി. വിഭാഗീയത എന്നാണ് പുറത്ത് പറയുന്ന കാരണം എങ്കിലും പുറത്തു പറയാന്‍ കൊള്ളാത്ത ചില കാരണങ്ങളുടെ പേരിലാണ് ഇയാളെ പുറത്താക്കിയത്. എന്തൊക്കെ ബഹളമാരുന്നു, ഒടുവില്‍ സുരേഷ് ബാബു ഗദ ഗുവ...' എന്ന് രാഹുല്‍ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തില്‍ ഫേസ്ബുക്കില്‍ കുറിച്ചു.

സ്ത്രീവിഷയങ്ങളുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെടുത്തി രാഹുല്‍ മാങ്കൂട്ടത്തിലിന്റെ 'ഹെഡ്മാസ്റ്ററാണ്' ഷാഫി പറമ്പില്‍ എന്ന് ഇ.എന്‍. സുരേഷ് ബാബു ആരോപിച്ചിരുന്നു. ബംഗളൂരുവിലേക്ക് സ്ത്രീകളെ കൊണ്ടുപോകുന്നതിലടക്കം ഇരുവര്‍ക്കും പങ്കുണ്ടെന്നും, രാഹുലും ഷാഫിയും 'പാര്‍ട്‌നേഴ്‌സ് ഇന്‍ ക്രൈം' ആണെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞിരുന്നു.

Media reports indicate that issues including a complaint from a woman led to the removal of E.N. Suresh Babu as CPM Palakkad District Secretary and the appointment of V. Chenthamarakshan as the new secretary. The decision was taken during an expanded district committee meeting.

A complaint filed against Suresh Babu by a female leader of a lawyers' association, along with digital evidence, was handed over to the party state leadership and state secretary. The leadership directed Suresh Babu to step down after the woman warned she would pursue legal action if steps were not taken.

E.N. Suresh Babu stated that he was stepping aside at his own request due to personal reasons. However, V. Chenthamarakshan responded that no complaint had been received against Suresh Babu.

Eight new members were included in the district committee, and six area secretaries were inducted as special invitees. Opinions were raised at the meeting that Suresh Babu's lack of maturity and arrogant behavior had harmed the party.

Because of the district leadership's severe failure in handling factionalism and rebel issues, the party lost three constituencies in the Assembly elections. Criticisms were raised that instead of resolving the issues, the leadership fueled them. It was also noted that the party saw a reduction of 67,000 votes in the district compared to the 2021 elections.

The party evaluated that the main reasons for the loss in Chittoor were the rebel issues in Kozhinjampara and a vote leak in Nallepilly and Peruvemba. In Kongad, despite having an organizational edge, organizational problems led to defeat. In Thrithala, local factionalism proved to be the setback.

Meanwhile, Rahul Mamkootathil, former Youth Congress state president and former MLA, reacted to the incident. He wrote on Facebook:

"Palakkad CPM District Secretary E.N. Suresh Babu, who went around trying to replace everyone and spouting whatever nonsense came to mind, has been removed from the post of district secretary. Although factionalism is the reason cited publicly, he was ousted due to certain reasons unfit to be mentioned out loud. What a hullabaloo it was, and in the end, Suresh Babu goes..."

E.N. Suresh Babu had previously alleged that Shafi Parambil was Rahul Mamkootathil's "headmaster" regarding women-related issues. He had claimed that both were involved in bringing women to Bengaluru and referred to Rahul and Shafi as 'partners in crime.'
