തിരുവനന്തപുരം: മുന്‍ ചീഫ് സെക്രട്ടറി ജിജി തോംസണ്‍ ബി.ജെ.പിയില്‍ ചേരാന്‍ താല്പര്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്നും നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയെയും കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിനെയും വാനോളം പുകഴ്ത്തി സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്നുവെന്നും വെളിപ്പെടുത്തി ബി.ജെ.പി സംസ്ഥാന സെക്രട്ടറി ജിജി ജോസഫ്. ചീഫ് ഇലക്ഷന്‍ കമ്മിഷണര്‍ ഗ്യാനേഷ് കുമാറിനെതിരെ ജിജി തോംസണ്‍ നടത്തിയ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തലുകള്‍ക്ക് പിന്നാലെയാണ് ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് കുറിപ്പിലൂടെ ജിജി ജോസഫ് രംഗത്തെത്തിയത്.

ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വാര്‍ത്താ പോര്‍ട്ടലിനു നല്‍കിയ അഭിമുഖത്തിലാണ് ജിജി തോംസണ്‍ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തല്‍ നടത്തിയത്. 2016-ല്‍ കേന്ദ്ര ആഭ്യന്തര മന്ത്രാലയത്തില്‍ ജോലി ചെയ്യവെ ഗ്യാനേഷ് കുമാര്‍ തന്നോട് 2019-ലെ ലോക്സഭാ തിരഞ്ഞെടുപ്പില്‍ പത്തനംതിട്ടയില്‍ നിന്ന് ബി.ജെ.പി സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥിയായി മത്സരിക്കാന്‍ താത്പര്യമുണ്ടോ എന്ന് ചോദിച്ചതായി അദ്ദേഹം വ്യക്തമാക്കി. ബി.ജെ.പി സ്ഥാനാര്‍ത്ഥിയായി മത്സരിച്ച് എം.പിയും കേന്ദ്രമന്ത്രിയുമാകാമെന്ന് വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്‌തെങ്കിലും താന്‍ അന്നുതന്നെ ആ നിര്‍ദ്ദേശം നിരസിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു എന്നാണ് ജിജി തോംസണ്‍ പറഞ്ഞത്. ഡല്‍ഹി വിമാനയാത്രയ്ക്കിടെയായിരുന്നു ഈ സംഭാഷണം നടന്നതെന്നും അദ്ദേഹം കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.

2017 ജൂണ്‍ 26-ന് കൊച്ചിയില്‍ മാര്‍ ക്രിസോസ്റ്റം തിരുമേനിയെ ആദരിക്കാന്‍ ന്യൂനപക്ഷ മോര്‍ച്ച സംഘടിപ്പിച്ച ചടങ്ങിലേക്ക് താനാണ് ജിജി തോംസണെ ക്ഷണിച്ചത്. 'ജിജി തോംസണ്‍ നമ്മോടൊപ്പം വരാന്‍ താല്പര്യം പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു നില്‍ക്കുകയാണ്' എന്ന് സംഘപരിവാറിലെ മുതിര്‍ന്ന നേതാവ് അറിയിച്ചതനുസരിച്ചായിരുന്നു ഈ ക്ഷണം. 2017-ല്‍ കൊച്ചിയില്‍ നടന്ന ഈ ചടങ്ങില്‍ ജിജി തോംസണ്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തതിന്റെ ചിത്രങ്ങളും ജിജി ജോസഫ് പങ്കുവച്ചു.

ചടങ്ങില്‍ സംസാരിക്കവെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി നരേന്ദ്ര മോദിയെയും കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ നടപടികളെയും ജിജി തോംസണ്‍ വാനോളം പുകഴ്ത്തി സംസാരിച്ചിരുന്നു. ബി.ജെ.പി യോഗത്തില്‍ പങ്കെടുത്തതിന് പിന്നാലെ 2017 മുതല്‍ 2020 വരെ കേന്ദ്ര ഗവണ്‍മെന്റിന് കീഴിലുള്ള കൊച്ചിന്‍ ഷിപ്പ് യാര്‍ഡിന്റെ ഇന്‍ഡിപെന്‍ഡന്റ് ഡയറക്ടറായി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് നിയമനം ലഭിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍ ലഭിച്ചതിലും വലിയ സ്ഥാനമാനങ്ങളാണ് അദ്ദേഹം പ്രതീക്ഷിച്ചിരുന്നത് എന്ന് സംശയിക്കുന്നതായും, അത് കിട്ടാത്തതുകൊണ്ട് 'കിട്ടാത്ത മുന്തിരി പുളിക്കും' എന്ന മട്ടിലാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഇപ്പോള്‍ സംസാരിക്കുന്നതെന്നും ബി.ജെ.പി നേതാവ് ആരോപിച്ചു.

He stated that it was he who invited Jiji Thomson to an event organized by the Minority Morcha in Kochi on June 26, 2017, to honor Mar Chrysostom Thirumeni. The invitation was extended based on information from a senior Sangh Parivar leader that 'Jiji Thomson is showing interest in joining us.' Jiji Joseph also shared photos of Jiji Thomson attending this 2017 event in Kochi.

During his speech at the function, Jiji Thomson had praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the measures taken by the Central Government to the skies. Following his participation in the BJP meeting, he was appointed as an Independent Director of the Central Government-owned Cochin Shipyard from 2017 to 2020. However, the BJP leader alleged that Jiji Thomson likely expected position and titles even higher than what he received, and because he did not get them, he is now speaking in a 'sour grapes' manner.
