കൊച്ചി: ആവേശം നിറഞ്ഞ ഡ്രാമകളില്‍ നിന്നും ത്രില്ലറുകളില്‍ നിന്നും വോയ്സ് ആക്റ്റിംഗിലേക്ക് കടക്കുമ്പോള്‍, അപ്രതീക്ഷിതമായതിനെ നെഞ്ചിലേറ്റുകയാണ് പ്രമുഖ നടി പാര്‍വതി തിരുവോത്ത്. താന്‍ വിയോജിക്കുന്ന ആശയങ്ങളെ മഹത്വവത്കരിക്കുന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങള്‍ നിരസിക്കുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും, സിനിമാ മേഖലയില്‍ കൂടുതല്‍ സര്‍ഗ്ഗാത്മകമായ പരീക്ഷണങ്ങള്‍ ഉണ്ടാകേണ്ടതിനെക്കുറിച്ചും അവര്‍ മനസ്സുതുറക്കുന്നു.   

'പ്രഥമ ദൃഷ്ട്യാ കുറ്റക്കാര്‍', 'ദൂത', 'ദായ്‌റ' തുടങ്ങിയ ചിത്രങ്ങളിലൂടെ പോലീസ് വേഷത്തില്‍ വീണ്ടും എത്തുമ്പോള്‍, തനിക്ക് 'കോപ്പ് യൂണിവേഴ്‌സിനെ' കുറിച്ച് പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് അറിവൊന്നുമില്ലെന്നും അവര്‍ എന്നെ ദത്തെടുത്ത് അവരില്‍ ഒരാളാക്കാന്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചതാണെന്നും ചിരിയോടെ പാര്‍വ്വതി പറയുന്നു.

'പലരും എന്നോട് പറയുമായിരുന്നു, വളരെ തീവ്രമായ ഡ്രാമ വേഷങ്ങളാണ് ഞാന്‍ ചെയ്യുന്നതെന്ന്. അതിനാല്‍ ഒരു കോമഡിയോ ത്രില്ലറോ ചെയ്യാന്‍ സാധിച്ചിരുന്നെങ്കില്‍ എന്ന് ഞാന്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുകയും പ്രാര്‍ത്ഥിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തിരുന്നു. പ്രപഞ്ചം ഒന്നായി ഗൂഢാലോചന നടത്തി എനിക്ക് ആദ്യം ഒരു ത്രില്ലര്‍ തന്നതാകാം. കോമഡി വേഷങ്ങളും അധികം വൈകാതെ എന്നെ തേടിയെത്തുമെന്ന് പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു.

'പ്രഥമ ദൃഷ്ട്യാ കുറ്റക്കാര്‍' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തില്‍ പുരുഷാധിപത്യ ലോകത്ത് അതിജീവിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്ന സബ് ഇന്‍സ്‌പെക്ടര്‍ അലീന എന്ന കഥാപാത്രത്തെയാണ് പാര്‍വ്വതി അവതരിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്. സംവിധായകന്‍ ഷഹദ് നിലമ്പൂരും എഡിറ്റര്‍ ചാമന്‍ ചാക്കോയും ചേര്‍ന്ന് അസാധാരണമായ ഒന്നാണ് പുറത്തുകൊണ്ടുവന്നിരിക്കുന്നതെന്നും, തീയേറ്ററില്‍ പ്രേക്ഷകരോടൊപ്പം ശ്വാസമടക്കിപ്പിടിച്ചാണ് താന്‍ സിനിമ കണ്ടതെന്നും അവര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കി.   

കഥാപാത്ര നിര്‍മ്മിതിക്കായി നിരവധി പോലീസുകാരുമായി സംസാരിച്ച വിവരവും പാര്‍വ്വതി പങ്കുവെച്ചു. അലീന എന്നത് ഉപേക്ഷിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു കുട്ടിയുടെ അവസ്ഥയ്ക്കും, അവളെ വിഴുങ്ങുന്ന ഏകാന്തതയ്ക്കുമിടയില്‍ മാറ്റുരയ്ക്കപ്പെടുന്ന ആന്തരിക ലോകമുള്ള ഒരു കഥാപാത്രമാണ്. 

'ദായ്‌റ' എന്ന ചിത്രത്തില്‍ ബോളിവുഡ് നടി കരീന കപൂര്‍ ഖാന് വേണ്ടി ശബ്ദം നല്‍കിയ അനുഭവവും പാര്‍വ്വതി പങ്കുവച്ചു. മേഘ്ന ഗുല്‍സാര്‍ ഈ പദ്ധതിക്കായി വിളിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ അത്ഭുതമാണ് തോന്നിയതെന്നും, വളരെക്കാലമായി ഒരു വോയ്സ് ആക്ടര്‍ ആകണമെന്ന ആഗ്രഹം ഇതിലൂടെ സഫലമായെന്നും അവര്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

താന്‍ തിരഞ്ഞെടുക്കുന്ന സിനിമകളില്‍ വ്യക്തിപരമായ രാഷ്ട്രീയത്തിനും നിലപാടുകള്‍ക്കും വ്യക്തമായ അതിര്‍വരമ്പുകളുണ്ടെന്ന് പാര്‍വ്വതി വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. 'ഞാന്‍ ഒരു ഫെമിനിസ്റ്റാണ്; എന്നാല്‍ സ്ത്രീക്കെതിരെ പിതൃമേധാവിത്വം ആയുധമാക്കിയ ഒരു സ്ത്രീ കഥാപാത്രത്തെയാണ് എനിക്ക് ചെയ്യേണ്ടതെങ്കില്‍ സന്തോഷത്തോടെ അത് ഏറ്റെടുക്കും. എന്നാല്‍ ആ സിനിമ തന്നെ ആ കഥാപാത്രത്തെയോ അവരുടെ തെറ്റായ വിശ്വാസങ്ങളെയോ മഹത്വവത്കരിക്കാനാണ് ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതെങ്കില്‍, ഞാന്‍ അതിന്റെ ഭാഗമാകില്ല.

ഇന്നത്തെ സിനിമകള്‍ വളരെ സുരക്ഷിതമായ വഴികളിലൂടെ മാത്രം സഞ്ചരിക്കാന്‍ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നത് കലാകാരന്മാര്‍ക്ക് സര്‍ഗ്ഗാത്മകമായ സംതൃപ്തി നല്‍കുന്നില്ലെന്ന് പാര്‍വ്വതി ചൂണ്ടിക്കാട്ടി. സിനിമയില്‍ മാറ്റങ്ങളെയും വെല്ലുവിളികളെയും ഭയക്കാതെ സ്വീകരിക്കാന്‍ തയ്യാറാകണം. പഴയതുപോലെയുള്ള പ്രണയാതുരമായ ആഗ്രഹം നിറഞ്ഞുനില്‍ക്കുന്ന പ്രണയകഥകള്‍ തിരികെ വരണമെന്ന് അവര്‍ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.

പ്രണയത്തെ ട്രാജഡിയാക്കുന്നതിന് മുന്‍പ്, കഥാപാത്രങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് വികാരങ്ങളുടെ ആഴത്തിലേക്ക് ഇറങ്ങിച്ചെന്ന് പരസ്പരം പ്രണയിക്കാന്‍ അവസരം നല്‍കണമെന്ന് പാര്‍വ്വതി അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു. പല സിനിമകളും ഇന്ന് റീലുകളുടെ ഒരു സമാഹാരം പോലെ മാറുന്നുണ്ടെന്നും മനുഷ്യരുടെ ശ്രദ്ധാകേന്ദ്രത്തിന്റെ ദൈര്‍ഘ്യം  കുറയുന്നത് അതിനൊരു കാരണമാണെന്നും അവര്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.

ഹൃത്വിക് റോഷന്‍ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ നിര്‍മ്മാതാവായി അരങ്ങേറ്റം കുറിക്കുന്ന 'സ്റ്റോം' ആണ് പാര്‍വ്വതിയുടെ അടുത്ത ചിത്രം. സ്ത്രീനിര പ്രധാന വേഷങ്ങളിലെത്തുന്ന ഈ പ്രോജക്റ്റില്‍ ആരാണ് ഹീറോ എന്ന ചോദ്യത്തിന് 'ഞാനാണ് ഹീറോ' എന്ന് മറുപടി നല്‍കാന്‍ കഴിയുന്നതില്‍ സന്തോഷമുണ്ടെന്ന് പാര്‍വ്വതി വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. കഥയെ നയിക്കുന്നത് ആണായാലും പെണ്ണായാലും അവരാണ് സിനിമയിലെ ഹീറോ എന്ന വ്യക്തമായ നിലപാടോടെയാണ് പാര്‍വ്വതി സംസാരിച്ചു നിര്‍ത്തിയത്.

Stepping into voice acting from intense dramas and thrillers, prominent actress Parvathy Thiruvothu is embracing the unexpected. She opens up about rejecting films that glorify ideas she disagrees with and the need for more creative experimentation in the film industry.

Returning to police roles with films like Prathama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar, Dhootha, and Daayra, Parvathy laughingly says she doesn't know much about a "cop universe"—it feels more like they adopted her and decided to make her one of their own.

"Many people used to tell me that I only do very intense dramatic roles. So I wished and prayed that I could do a comedy or a thriller. Perhaps the universe conspired to give me a thriller first. I hope comedy roles will come searching for me soon as well," she said.

In Prathama Dhrishtya Kuttakkar, Parvathy plays Sub-Inspector Aleena, a character trying to survive in a patriarchal world. She stated that director Shahad Nilambur and editor Chaman Chakko have brought out something extraordinary, adding that she watched the film in the theater alongside the audience holding her breath.

Parvathy also shared that she spoke with several police officers to build her character. Aleena has a inner world tested between the state of an abandoned child and the engulfing loneliness she faces.

Sharing her experience of providing voice acting for Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan in the film Daayra, Parvathy said she was surprised when Meghna Gulzar called her for the project. She added that this fulfilled a long-held desire to become a voice actor.

Parvathy clarified that her personal politics and stances draw clear boundaries in the films she chooses. "I am a feminist; however, if I have to play a female character who uses patriarchy as a weapon against another woman, I will happily take it up. But if the film itself attempts to glorify that character or their toxic beliefs, I will not be a part of it."

She pointed out that today's films trying to walk only safe paths do not offer creative satisfaction to artists. The film industry must be ready to embrace changes and challenges without fear. She expressed her desire to see a return to old-school, romantic love stories.

Parvathy opined that before turning romance into a tragedy, characters should be given the space to dive deep into their emotions and truly love each other. She added that many films today are becoming like a compilation of Reels, with human attention spans shrinking being one of the reasons.

Parvathy's upcoming project is Storm, which marks Hrithik Roshan's debut as a digital producer. Expressing her happiness at being able to answer "I am the hero" when asked who the hero is in this female-led project, Parvathy concluded with a clear stance: whoever drives the story—whether a man or a woman—is the hero of the film
