ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: പടിഞ്ഞാറന്‍ ഡല്‍ഹിയിലെ തിലക് നഗറില്‍ റോഡ് പരിശോധനയ്ക്കിടെ ഡല്‍ഹി പൊതുമരാമത്ത് മന്ത്രിയും ബി.ജെ.പി നേതാവുമായ പര്‍വേശ് വര്‍മ യുവാവിനെ പരസ്യമായി മുഖത്തടിച്ചു. റോഡ് നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിലെ അപാകതകളും അഴിമതിയും ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ചതിന് പിന്നാലെയാണ് തനിക്ക് നേരെ മര്‍ദ്ദനമുണ്ടായതെന്ന് ആം ആദ്മി പാര്‍ട്ടി തിലക് നഗര്‍ എം.എല്‍.എ ജര്‍നൈല്‍ സിംഗിന്റെ സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയ ഹാന്‍ഡ്ലറായ സാഹിബ് സിംഗ് ആരോപിച്ചു.

സംഭവത്തിന്റെ വീഡിയോ ദൃശ്യങ്ങള്‍ ആം ആദ്മി പാര്‍ട്ടി 'എക്‌സ്' പ്ലാറ്റ്ഫോമില്‍ പങ്കുവച്ചതോടെ വിഷയം വലിയ രാഷ്ട്രീയ വിവാദമായി മാറി. മന്ത്രി യുവാവിന്റെ ഫോണ്‍ തട്ടിമാറ്റുന്നതും കരണത്തടിക്കുന്നതും പിന്നീട് അവിടെ സംഘര്‍ഷാവസ്ഥ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതും വീഡിയോയിലുണ്ട്. ഒടുവില്‍ സുരക്ഷാ ജീവനക്കാര്‍ ഇടപെട്ടാണ് ഇരുവിഭാഗത്തെയും മാറ്റിരംഗം തണുപ്പിച്ചത്.

പൊതുമരാമത്ത് വകുപ്പിന്റെ ക്ഷണപ്രകാരം റോഡിന്റെ അവസ്ഥ നേരിട്ട് കണ്ടുബോധ്യപ്പെടാനാണ് എ എ പി എം.എല്‍.എ ജര്‍ണൈല്‍ സിംഗും സംഘവും സ്ഥലത്തെത്തിയത്. പരിശോധനയ്ക്കിടെ എം.എല്‍.എ റോഡിന്റെ മുകള്‍ഭാഗം കൈകൊണ്ട് ഉരിഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിലെ മോശം ഗുണനിലവാരം മന്ത്രിയെ കാണിച്ചു. '15 വര്‍ഷമായി നിങ്ങള്‍ ഇത് പണിതില്ല, ഇപ്പോള്‍ ഞങ്ങള്‍ പണിയുമ്പോള്‍ തെറ്റായ കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പറയരുത്' എന്ന് മന്ത്രി മറുപടി നല്‍കിയെങ്കിലും, 'ഇത് 15 മണിക്കൂര്‍ പോലും നിലനില്‍ക്കില്ല' എന്ന് എം.എല്‍.എ തിരിച്ചടിച്ചു.

ഇതിനിടെ, കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ ഫേസ്ബുക്കില്‍ ലൈവ് സ്ട്രീം ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരുന്ന സാഹിബ് സിംഗിന് നേരെ പ്രകോപിതനായ മന്ത്രി തിരിയുകയും ഫോണ്‍ തട്ടിമാറ്റി കരണത്ത് അടിക്കുകയുമായിരുന്നു എന്ന് ആരോപിക്കപ്പെടുന്നു. മന്ത്രിയുടെ കൂടെയുണ്ടായിരുന്ന സുരക്ഷാ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരും തന്നോട് അക്രമസ്വഭാവം കാണിച്ചതായി സാഹിബ് സിംഗ് പറഞ്ഞു.

സാഹിബ് സിംഗ് (ഇരയായ യുവാവ്): 'അഴിമതിയും മോശം നിര്‍മ്മാണവും ചൂണ്ടിക്കാണിച്ചപ്പോള്‍ മന്ത്രിക്ക് അത് സഹിക്കാന്‍ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. എം.എല്‍.എയുടെ ഫേസ്ബുക്ക് പേജില്‍ ലൈവ് സ്ട്രീം ചെയ്യുന്നതിനിടെ തത്സമയ സംപ്രേക്ഷണം തടയാനാണ് അദ്ദേഹം ഫോണ്‍ പിടിച്ചെടുത്ത് എന്നെ തല്ലിയത്. മന്ത്രിക്കെതിരെ പോലീസില്‍ പരാതി നല്‍കിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.'

ആം ആദ്മി പാര്‍ട്ടി: ബി.ജെ.പി സര്‍ക്കാരിന്റെ റോഡ് നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിലെ അഴിമതി പുറത്തായപ്പോള്‍ മന്ത്രി ഗുണ്ടായിസം കാണിക്കുകയാണെന്ന് എ എ പി ആരോപിച്ചു. സംഭവം പങ്കുവച്ചുകൊണ്ട് മന്ത്രി പര്‍വേശ് വര്‍മയെ ഉടനടി അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് മുന്‍ ഡല്‍ഹി മുഖ്യമന്ത്രി അരവിന്ദ് കെജ്രിവാള്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

Public Works Department (PWD) Minister of Delhi and BJP leader, Parvesh Verma, publicly slapped a youth during a road inspection in West Delhi's Tilak Nagar. Sahib Singh, who manages the social media handles of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Tilak Nagar MLA Jarnail Singh, alleged that he was assaulted after pointing out defects and corruption in the road construction.

The issue escalated into a major political controversy after the Aam Aadmi Party shared video footage of the incident on the 'X' platform. The video shows the minister snatching the youth's phone, slapping him, and a subsequent tense situation developing at the spot. Finally, security personnel intervened to separate both groups and cool down the situation.

AAP MLA Jarnail Singh and his team had arrived at the location on the invitation of the Public Works Department to inspect the condition of the road. During the inspection, the MLA peeled off the top layer of the road with his hands to demonstrate the poor construction quality to the minister. Although the minister responded, "You didn't build this for 15 years; now when we are building it, do not make false claims," the MLA retorted, "This will not even last for 15 hours."

In the meantime, the minister allegedly turned aggressively toward Sahib Singh, who was live-streaming the inspection on Facebook, snatched his phone, and slapped him. Sahib Singh also stated that the security personnel accompanying the minister behaved aggressively toward him.

Sahib Singh (the victim): "When the corruption and poor quality of construction were pointed out, the minister could not tolerate it. While I was live-streaming on the MLA's Facebook page, he snatched my phone and hit me to stop the live broadcast. A complaint has been lodged with the police against the minister."

Aam Aadmi Party: AAP alleged that when the corruption in the BJP government's road construction was exposed, the minister resorted to hooliganism. Sharing the incident, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal demanded the immediate arrest of Minister Parvesh Verma.
