പ്രൊഫസര്‍ ലൈംഗിക അതിക്രമം നടത്തി, പരാതിയുമായി ജെഎന്‍യുവിലെ പത്തു വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍, അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു

ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി : ജവഹര്‍ലാല്‍ നെഹ്റു യൂണിവേഴ്സിറ്റിയിലെ (ജെ എന്‍ യു) പ്രൊഫസര്‍ക്കെതിരെ ലൈംഗികാതിക്രമ ആരോപണവുമായി പത്തു വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തി. സംഭവത്തില്‍ സര്‍വകലാശാലയുടെ ഇന്റേണല്‍ കംപ്ലയിന്റ്‌സ് കമ്മിറ്റി (ഐസിസി  അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു.

ഒരു മാസം മുമ്പ് സമര്‍പ്പിച്ച പരാതികളില്‍, പ്രൊഫസര്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളെ കാമ്പസിലെ തന്റെ വസതിയിലേക്ക് ക്ഷണിക്കുകയും അവിടെവച്ച് മോശമായ രീതിയില്‍ പെരുമാറുകയും ചെയ്തതായി ആരോപിക്കുന്നു. ക്ലാസുകള്‍ക്കിടെ അശ്ലീല പരാമര്‍ശങ്ങള്‍ നടത്തിയതായും ഇയാള്‍ക്കെതിരെ ആരോപണമുണ്ട്.

ഐസിസിയില്‍ ആദ്യ പരാതി രജിസ്റ്റര്‍ ചെയ്തതിന് പിന്നാലെ, പരാതിക്കാര്‍ക്ക് പിന്തുണയുമായി നിരവധി മുതിര്‍ന്ന വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ രംഗത്തെത്തുകയും പ്രൊഫസറുടെ മോശം പെരുമാറ്റത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് ആശങ്ക പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഇവരില്‍ പലരും സമാനമായ ആരോപണങ്ങള്‍ ഉന്നയിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ഐസിസി നിലവില്‍ ഈ ആരോപണങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ച് അന്വേഷണം നടത്തിവരികയാണ്. വിഷയത്തില്‍ ജെഎന്‍യു ഭരണകൂടമോ വൈസ് ചാന്‍സലറുടെ ഓഫീസോ ഇതുവരെ പ്രതികരണമൊന്നും നടത്തിയിട്ടില്ല. സ്റ്റുഡന്റ്‌സ് യൂണിയനും ഇതുവരെ ഔദ്യോഗിക വിവരങ്ങളൊന്നും പുറത്തുവിട്ടിട്ടില്ല.

News in English : Ten students at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) have come forward with allegations of sexual harassment against a professor. The university's Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) has initiated an investigation into the matter.

According to complaints submitted a month ago, the professor allegedly invited students to his campus residence and behaved inappropriately toward them. He has also been accused of making obscene remarks during classes.

Following the registration of the first complaint with the ICC, several senior students stepped forward in support of the complainants, expressing concern over the professor's behavior. Many among them raised similar allegations.

The ICC is currently investigating these claims. Neither the JNU administration nor the Vice Chancellor's office has issued an official statement on the issue so far. The Students' Union has also not released any official information yet.
