Three Youth Arrested with MDMA Worth ₹10 Crore in One of Kerala's Largest Drug Busts

കോഴിക്കോട് : കേരള പൊലീസിന്റെ ചരിത്രത്തിലെ തന്നെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ലഹരിവേട്ടകളിലൊന്നില് 12.800 കിലോഗ്രാം എംഡിഎംഎയുമായി മൂന്ന് പേര് പിടിയിലായി. റീട്ടെയില് വിപണിയില് ഇതിന് 10 കോടിയിലധികം രൂപ വില വരും.
മലപ്പുറം ജില്ലാ പോലീസ് മേധാവി ചൈത്ര തെരേസ ജോണ് ഐ.പി.എസിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള പ്രത്യേക അന്വേഷണ സംഘവും, മഞ്ചേരി പോലീസും, ജില്ലാ ഡാന്സാഫ് സ്ക്വാഡും ചേര്ന്നാണ് വിവര ശേഖരണവും റെയ്ഡും നടത്തിയത്. തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെ കോയമ്പത്തൂരില് വച്ചാണ് പ്രതികളെ അറസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തത്.
അറസ്റ്റിലായവര്:
- മമ്പ്ര വളപ്പില് ജാബിര് അലി (32) പന്തല്ലൂര്, മലപ്പുറം
- കരിമ്പയില് മുഹമ്മദ് സ്വാലിഹ് (34) മേപ്പാടി, വയനാട്
- ഷെയിം അക്ബര് (21) ആനക്കയം, മലപ്പുറം
കേരളത്തിലെയും തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലെയും യുവാക്കളെ ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് ഈ അന്തര്സംസ്ഥാന ലഹരിസംഘം പ്രവര്ത്തിച്ചിരുന്നത്. ആഡംബര കാറുകളുടെ ഡോര് പാടുകളില് പ്രത്യേകം തയ്യാറാക്കിയ രഹസ്യ അറകളില് 100 ഗ്രാം മുതല് 500 ഗ്രാം വരെയുള്ള പാക്കറ്റുകളിലാക്കിയാണ് എംഡിഎംഎ ഒളിപ്പിച്ചു കടത്തിയിരുന്നത്.
ആഴ്ചകള്ക്ക് മുന്പ് മഞ്ചേരിയിലെ അപ്പാര്ട്ട്മെന്റില് നിന്ന് 100 ഗ്രാം എംഡിഎംഎയുമായി 6 പേരെ പിടികൂടിയിരുന്നു. ഇവരെ ചോദ്യം ചെയ്തതില് നിന്നാണ് കോയമ്പത്തൂര്, പഴനി, കൊടൈക്കനാല് കേന്ദ്രീകരിച്ച് പ്രവര്ത്തിക്കുന്ന വലിയ ലഹരിശൃംഖലയെക്കുറിച്ച് പൊലീസിന് വിവരം ലഭിക്കുന്നത്.
അതിര്ത്തി ചെക്ക്പോസ്റ്റുകള് എളുപ്പത്തില് കടക്കാന് ആഡംബര വാഹനങ്ങളില് പ്രത്യേക രഹസ്യ അറകള് തയ്യാറാക്കുകയാണ് ഇവര് ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്. തിരുവനന്തപുരം മുതല് കാസര്ഗോഡ് വരെയുള്ള കേരളത്തിന്റെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങളില് വിതരണം ചെയ്യാനാണ് ഈ ലഹരിമരുന്ന് എത്തിച്ചത്.
ഡല്ഹി, മുംബയ്, ബെംഗളൂരു എന്നിവടങ്ങളിലെ രഹസ്യ കേന്ദ്രങ്ങളില് നിന്നാണ് സംഘം എം.ഡി.എം.എ. സംഭരിച്ചിരുന്നതെന്ന് അന്വേഷണത്തില് വ്യക്തമായി. കോയമ്പത്തൂര്, പളനി, കൊടൈക്കനാല് എന്നിവ ട്രാന്സിറ്റ് പോയിന്റുകളാക്കിയ ശേഷമാണ് കേരളത്തിലേക്കും തമിഴ്നാട്ടിലേക്കും ഇവ വിതരണം ചെയ്തിരുന്നത്.
News in English: In one of the largest drug seizures in Kerala Police history, three individuals were arrested with 12.800 kg of MDMA, estimated to be worth over ₹10 crore in the retail market.
The operation was conducted through intelligence gathering and a raid executed by a special investigation team led by Malappuram District Police Chief Chaithra Teresa John IPS, alongside the Manjeri Police and the district DANSAF squad. The suspects were arrested in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.

Mambra Valappil Jabir Ali (32) – Pantallur, Malappuram
Karimbayil Muhammad Salih (34) – Meppadi, Wayanad
Sheim Akbar (21) – Anakkayam, Malappuram
This interstate syndicate targeted youth across Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The contraband was concealed inside specially fabricated secret compartments within the door panels of luxury vehicles, split into packets ranging from 100g to 500g.
The operation stemmed from an incident weeks prior in Manjeri, where six individuals were arrested at an apartment with 100g of MDMA. Interrogating them led the police to this massive drug network operating out of Coimbatore, Palani, and Kodaikanal.
The gang utilized customized secret compartments in luxury cars to easily clear border checkpoints. The seized contraband was intended for drop-offs across various parts of Kerala, spanning from Thiruvananthapuram to Kasaragod.
Investigations revealed that the syndicate procured MDMA from secret hubs in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, using Coimbatore, Palani, and Kodaikanal as transit points before distributing to Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
