ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി : കഴിഞ്ഞ ആഴ്ച ആകാശച്ചുഴിയില്‍ പെട്ട ഫുക്കറ്റ്-ഡല്‍ഹി എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യ വിമാനത്തിലെ പൈലറ്റ് പ്രാഥമിക ലഹരിപരിശോധനയില്‍ പരാജയപ്പെട്ടതായി റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട്. എന്നാല്‍ അന്തിമ സ്ഥിരീകരണ പരിശോധനാ ഫലം വരാനിരിക്കുന്നതേയുള്ളൂ.

വിമാനം ഡല്‍ഹിയില്‍ ഇറങ്ങിയ ശേഷം നടത്തിയ പ്രാഥമിക ലഹരിപരിശോധനയിലാണ്  പൈലറ്റ്-ഇന്‍-കമാന്‍ഡ് ലഹരിപദാര്‍ത്ഥങ്ങള്‍ ഉപയോഗിച്ചതായി സൂചന ലഭിച്ചത്. കൂടുതല്‍ വിശദമായ അന്തിമ പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി സാമ്പിളുകള്‍ ലബോറട്ടറിയിലേക്ക് അയച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

പരിശോധനാ ഫലങ്ങള്‍ ഔദ്യോഗികമായി കൈമാറിയിട്ടില്ലാത്തതിനാല്‍ വിഷയത്തില്‍ പ്രതികരിക്കാനാകില്ലെന്ന് എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യ അറിയിച്ചു. അന്വേഷണം പൂര്‍ത്തിയാകുന്നതുവരെ രണ്ട് പൈലറ്റുമാരെയും ഡ്യൂട്ടിയില്‍ നിന്ന് മാറ്റിനിര്‍ത്തിയിട്ടുണ്ട്.

ലഹരിപരിശോധനയില്‍ ആദ്യമായി പോസിറ്റീവ് ആയാല്‍ ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥരെ ലഹരിമുക്തി കേന്ദ്രത്തിലേക്ക് അയക്കും; പിന്നീട് നെഗറ്റീവ് ഫലം ലഭിച്ചാല്‍ മാത്രമേ തിരികെ ജോലിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിക്കാന്‍ അനുവാദമുള്ളൂ. രണ്ടാമതും ആവര്‍ത്തിച്ചാല്‍ ലൈസന്‍സ് 3 വര്‍ഷത്തേക്ക് സസ്‌പെന്‍ഡ് ചെയ്യും. മൂന്നാമതും ലംഘിച്ചാല്‍ ലൈസന്‍സ് പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായി റദ്ദാക്കും.

ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 4-ന് 137 യാത്രക്കാരും 8 ജീവനക്കാരുമായി ഫുക്കറ്റില്‍ നിന്ന് ഡല്‍ഹിയിലേക്ക് വന്ന എയര്‍ ഇന്ത്യ 2379 വിമാനത്തിലാണ് സംഭവം. യാത്രയ്ക്കിടെ പെട്ടെന്ന് 300 അടി താഴ്ചയിലേക്ക് വിമാനം പതിക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. ഏകദേശം 5 മിനിറ്റോളം വിമാനം ആടിയുലയുകയായിരുന്നു. സംഭവത്തില്‍ 13 യാത്രക്കാര്‍ക്കും 4 ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്കും പരിക്കേറ്റു. രണ്ട് വിമാന ജീവനക്കാര്‍ക്ക് നട്ടെല്ലിന് പരിക്കേറ്റിട്ടുണ്ട്.

സംഭവത്തില്‍ വ്യോമയാന മന്ത്രാലയം അന്വേഷണം ആരംഭിച്ചു. വിമാനത്തിന്റെ ഫ്‌ലൈറ്റ് ഡാറ്റാ റെക്കോര്‍ഡറും കോക്ക്പിറ്റ് വോയ്‌സ് റെക്കോര്‍ഡറും പരിശോധനയ്ക്കായി ശേഖരിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്.

The pilot of a Phuket-Delhi Air India flight that encountered severe turbulence last week has reportedly failed a preliminary drug test. However, the final confirmatory test results are still awaited.

The pilot-in-command tested positive during a routine post-flight screening conducted after landing in Delhi. The samples have been sent to a laboratory for detailed secondary analysis.

Air India stated that it cannot comment on the matter as the official test results have not yet been formally communicated. Both pilots have been grounded pending the outcome of the investigation.

Under standard aviation safety rules, a first-time positive test requires the crew member to be sent to a rehabilitation center, with reinstatement allowed only after testing negative. A second violation results in a three-year license suspension, while a third offense leads to a permanent cancellation of the flying license.

The incident occurred on August 4 aboard Air India flight AI 2379, carrying 137 passengers and 8 crew members from Phuket to Delhi. Mid-flight, the aircraft suddenly dropped 300 feet and experienced violent shaking for nearly five minutes.

The severe turbulence left 13 passengers and 4 crew members injured, with two cabin crew members sustaining spinal injuries.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has launched a formal probe into the incident. Investigators have retrieved the aircraft's Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) for analysis.
