ന്യൂഡല്‍ഹി: ഡി.ആര്‍.ഡി.ഒ (ഡിഫന്‍സ് റിസര്‍ച്ച് ആന്‍ഡ് ഡെവലപ്മെന്റ് ഓര്‍ഗനൈസേഷന്‍) വികസിപ്പിച്ചെടുത്ത എല്ലാ പരമ്പരാഗത മിസൈല്‍ സംവിധാനങ്ങളുടെയും സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യകള്‍ തദ്ദേശീയ ഉല്‍പ്പാദനത്തിനായി ഇന്ത്യന്‍ പ്രതിരോധ കമ്പനികള്‍ക്ക് കൈമാറുന്നതിന് കേന്ദ്ര സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ അംഗീകാരം നല്‍കി.

രാജ്യത്തിന്റെ പ്രതിരോധ മേഖലയില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വ്യവസായങ്ങളുടെ പങ്ക് വിപുലീകരിക്കുന്നതിനും അത്യാധുനിക മിസൈല്‍ സംവിധാനങ്ങളുടെ തദ്ദേശീയ ഉല്‍പ്പാദനം സാധ്യമാക്കുന്നതിനുമുള്ള സുപ്രധാന ചുവടുവയ്പ്പാണിതെന്ന് പ്രതിരോധ മന്ത്രാലയം വ്യക്തമാക്കി.

ആവശ്യമായ യോഗ്യതകള്‍, സര്‍ട്ടിഫിക്കേഷനുകള്‍, നിയന്ത്രണ വ്യവസ്ഥകള്‍ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് വിധേയമായി, ഈ സംവിധാനങ്ങള്‍ നിര്‍മ്മിക്കാന്‍ തദ്ദേശീയ കമ്പനികളെ പ്രാപ്തരാക്കുന്നതിലൂടെ മിസൈല്‍ വികസനവും വന്‍കിട വ്യവസായ ഉല്‍പ്പാദനവും തമ്മിലുള്ള അകലം കുറയ്ക്കാന്‍ സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യാ കൈമാറ്റം സഹായിക്കും. ഇന്ത്യയുടെ ആഭ്യന്തര പ്രതിരോധ ഉല്‍പ്പാദന ശേഷി ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിനും പ്രതിരോധ വ്യവസായ അടിത്തറ വിപുലീകരിക്കുന്നതിനും ലക്ഷ്യമിട്ടാണ് ഈ പദ്ധതി ആരംഭിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്.

'മിസൈല്‍ സിസ്റ്റം വികസനത്തില്‍ നിന്ന് വ്യവസായ ഉല്‍പ്പാദനത്തിലേക്കുള്ള വിജയികരമായ മാറ്റത്തിന് ഈ വ്യവസ്ഥ വഴിതുറക്കും. അത്യാധുനിക പ്രതിരോധ സംവിധാനങ്ങളുടെ വികസനത്തിനും നിര്‍മ്മാണത്തിനുമായി ഇന്ത്യന്‍ വ്യവസായ മേഖലയുടെ ശേഷി പ്രയോജനപ്പെടുത്താനുള്ള ഡി.ആര്‍.ഡി.ഒയുടെ തുടര്‍ച്ചയായ ശ്രമങ്ങളെയാണ് ഇത് പ്രതിഫലിപ്പിക്കുന്നത്,' എന്ന് മന്ത്രാലയം പറഞ്ഞു.

മിസൈല്‍ സപ്ലൈ ചെയിനില്‍ പങ്കാളികളാകാന്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ സൂക്ഷ്മ, ചെറുകിട, ഇടത്തരം സംരംഭങ്ങള്‍ക്കും  മറ്റ് സാങ്കേതിക പങ്കാളികള്‍ക്കും കൂടുതല്‍ അവസരങ്ങള്‍ ഇത് തുറന്നുനല്‍കും.

The Union Government has granted approval for the transfer of technology (ToT) of all conventional missile systems developed by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) to Indian defence companies for domestic manufacturing.

The Ministry of Defence stated that this is a significant step toward expanding the role of Indian industries in the nation's defence sector and enabling local production of state-of-the-art missile systems.

Subject to required qualifications, certifications, and regulatory frameworks, enabling domestic firms to manufacture these systems will help bridge the gap between missile development and large-scale industrial production. The initiative aims to strengthen India's domestic defence manufacturing capabilities and expand its defence industrial base.

"This provision paves the way for a successful transition from missile system development to industrial production. It reflects DRDO's ongoing efforts to leverage the capabilities of the Indian industry for the development and manufacturing of advanced defence systems," the ministry said.

This move will also open up greater opportunities for Indian micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and other technology partners to participate in the missile supply chain.
