കണ്ണൂരില്‍ കടലില്‍ കുളിക്കാനിറങ്ങിയ കര്‍ണാടക സ്വദേശികളായ മൂന്നു മെഡിക്കല്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ മുങ്ങിമരിച്ചു

കണ്ണൂര്‍ : പയ്യാമ്പലത്ത് കടലില്‍ കുളിക്കാനിറങ്ങിയ കര്‍ണാടക സ്വദേശികളായ മൂന്ന് മെഡിക്കല്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ മുങ്ങിമരിച്ചു. ബെംഗളൂരുവിലെ മെഡിക്കല്‍ വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികളായ അഫ്നാന്‍, റഹാനുദ്ദീന്‍, അഫ്റാസ് എന്നിവരാണ് മുങ്ങിമരിച്ചത്.

അഫ്‌റാസാണ് ആദ്യം കുളിക്കാനിറങ്ങിയതും മുങ്ങിയതും. മറ്റു രണ്ടുപേര്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാനായി ഇറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നുവെന്നാണ് പൊലീസ് പറയുന്നത്.

എട്ടംഗ സംഘം പയ്യാമ്പലത്തെ റിസോര്‍ട്ടില്‍ താമസിക്കുന്നതിനിടെ കടലില്‍ കുളിക്കാനിറങ്ങുകയായിരുന്നു. ശക്തമായ തിരയില്‍പ്പെട്ട് മൂന്നുപേരും അപകടത്തില്‍പ്പെടുകയായിരുന്നു.

മൃതദേഹങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടെടുത്തു. സുഹൃത്തുക്കളും നാട്ടുകാരും ചേര്‍ന്ന് ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ രക്ഷാപ്രവര്‍ത്തനം ആരംഭിച്ചു. എന്നാല്‍, മൂന്നുപേരെയും കരയ്‌ക്കെത്തിച്ച് ആശുപത്രിയിലേക്ക് മാറ്റിയെങ്കിലും ജീവന്‍ രക്ഷിക്കാനായില്ല.

സാധാരണയായി ആളുകള്‍ കുളിക്കാനിറങ്ങാത്ത ഭാഗത്താണ് വിദ്യാര്‍ത്ഥികള്‍ കടലിലിറങ്ങിയതെന്നു പ്രാദേശവാസികള്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.

According to the police, Afraz was the first to enter the water and drown, and the other two attempted to rescue him.

An eight-member group, who were staying at a resort in Payyambalam, had gone down to the sea for a bath. All three were caught in the strong currents and met with the accident.

The bodies were recovered. Friends and local residents immediately began rescue efforts. However, though the three were brought ashore and rushed to the hospital, their lives could not be saved.

Local residents stated that the students had entered the sea in a spot where people do not usually bathe.
