ഹൈദരാബാദ്: ബംഗാള്‍ ഉള്‍ക്കടലില്‍ രൂപം കൊണ്ട അതിതീവ്ര ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റായ 'മൊന്‍ത'  ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശ് തീരത്ത് കരതൊട്ടുവെന്ന് കാലാവസ്ഥാ വകുപ്പ് അറിയിച്ചു. രാത്രി 7:00 മണിയോടെയാണ് കരകയറല്‍ പ്രക്രിയ ആരംഭിച്ചത്. സംസ്ഥാനത്ത് നാലു പേർ ചുഴലിയുടെ കെടുതിയിൽ മരിച്ചു. ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ കേന്ദ്രം പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായി കരയിലേക്ക് പ്രവേശിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ് ലാന്‍ഡ്ഫാള്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയാവുക.

മച്ചിലിപട്ടണത്തിനും കലിംഗപട്ടണത്തിനും ഇടയില്‍ കാക്കിനഡയ്ക്ക് സമീപം കരകയിയ ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ പരമാവധി വേഗം മണിക്കൂറില്‍ 100-110 കിലോമീറ്ററാണ്.

മോശം കാലാവസ്ഥ കാരണം തെലങ്കാനയിലെ ഷംഷാബാദിനും ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ വിജയവാഡ, വിശാഖപട്ടണം, രാജമുണ്ഡ്രി വിമാനത്താവളങ്ങള്‍ക്കുമിടയിലുള്ള 35-ല്‍ അധികം വിമാനങ്ങള്‍ റദ്ദാക്കി. ഇതില്‍ 30 ഇന്‍ഡിഗോ വിമാനങ്ങളും ഉള്‍പ്പെടുന്നു.

ആകെ 122 ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ റദ്ദാക്കുകയും, 29 എണ്ണം പുനഃക്രമീകരിക്കുകയും 8 എണ്ണം വഴിതിരിച്ചുവിടുകയും ചെയ്തു. ഈസ്റ്റ് കോസ്റ്റ് റെയില്‍വേ മാത്രം 61 ട്രെയിനുകള്‍ റദ്ദാക്കി.

ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റിന്റെ ആഘാതം മൂലം ആന്ധ്രയില്‍ 1.76 ലക്ഷം ഹെക്ടര്‍ സ്ഥലത്തെ വിളകള്‍ നശിച്ചതായി പ്രാഥമിക റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ സൂചിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. ശക്തമായ കാറ്റില്‍ മച്ചിലിപട്ടണത്തെ ചിലകലാപുടി ഗ്രാമം ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള തീരദേശ പ്രദേശങ്ങളില്‍ വൈദ്യുതി തടസ്സപ്പെട്ടു.

ഒഡീഷ തീരദേശ, തെക്കന്‍ ഒഡീഷ ജില്ലകളില്‍ കനത്ത മഴയെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് മണ്ണിടിച്ചിലുകളും റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ട് ചെയ്തിട്ടുണ്ട്. ഗജപതി ജില്ലയിലെ അനക ഗ്രാമപഞ്ചായത്തില്‍ റോഡുകള്‍ തടസ്സപ്പെടുത്തിക്കൊണ്ട് പാറക്കൂട്ടങ്ങള്‍ മലമുകളില്‍ നിന്ന് പതിച്ചു. കടല്‍ പ്രക്ഷുബ്ധമായതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് ആന്ധ്രയില്‍ നിന്നുള്ള 30-ഓളം മത്സ്യബന്ധന ബോട്ടുകള്‍ ഗോപാല്‍പൂര്‍ തുറമുഖത്ത് അഭയം തേടി.

തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടില്‍ ചെന്നൈ ഉള്‍പ്പെടെയുള്ള വടക്കന്‍ തീരദേശ മേഖലയില്‍ കനത്ത മഴ തുടര്‍ന്നു. ചെങ്കല്‍പേട്ട്, കാഞ്ചീപുരം, തിരുവള്ളൂര്‍ ജില്ലകളില്‍ ഓറഞ്ച് അലര്‍ട്ട് പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചിരുന്നു. സുരക്ഷാ മുന്‍കരുതലിന്റെ ഭാഗമായി ചെന്നൈയിലെ സ്‌കൂളുകള്‍ക്ക് അവധി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചു.

ചുഴലിക്കാറ്റ് തീരം കടന്ന് പോകുന്നതുവരെ യാത്രകള്‍ പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായും ഒഴിവാക്കാനും വീട്ടില്‍ത്തന്നെ കഴിയാനും അധികൃതര്‍ ആവശ്യപ്പെട്ടു.

Air Travel Disrupted: Due to adverse weather conditions, over 35 flights between Shamshabad in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh's Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Rajahmundry airports have been cancelled, including 30 IndiGo flights.

Rail Operations Affected: A total of 122 trains have been cancelled, 29 rescheduled, and 8 diverted. The East Coast Railway alone cancelled 61 trains.

Crop Damage: Preliminary reports indicate that standing crops over 1.76 lakh hectares in Andhra Pradesh have been destroyed due to the impact of the cyclone.

Power Disruption: Strong winds have led to a power outage in coastal areas, including the Chilakalapudi village near Machilipatnam.
