കൊട്ടാരക്കരയില്‍ ലഹരിസംഘാംഗങ്ങള്‍ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടി, യുവാവ് മരിച്ചു, പ്രതി ഒളിവില്‍

കൊല്ലം: കൊല്ലം ജില്ലയിലെ പൊരീക്കലില്‍ ലഹരി സംഘങ്ങള്‍ തമ്മിലുണ്ടായ ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലില്‍ പരിക്കേറ്റ് ഇടവട്ടം ഗോകുലത്തില്‍ ഗോകുല്‍നാഥ് (35) മരിച്ചു.

ഇന്നലെ രാത്രി പതിനൊന്നോടെ ഇടവട്ടം ജയന്തി നഗറിലായിരുന്നു ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലുണ്ടായത്. ബഹളം കേട്ട് അയല്‍വാസികള്‍ പുറത്തെത്തിയപ്പോള്‍ ഗോകുല്‍നാഥ് വീണുകിടക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. കൂട്ടാളിയായ അരുണ്‍ അപ്പോഴും ഇയാളെ മര്‍ദ്ദിക്കുന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു.

ഗോകുല്‍നാഥും അരുണും കഞ്ചാവ് വില്‍പ്പന സംഘത്തിലെ കണ്ണികളാണെന്ന് പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു. ഏറ്റുമുട്ടലിനെത്തുടര്‍ന്ന് അവശനിലയിലായ ഗോകുല്‍നാഥിനെ കൊട്ടാരക്കര താലൂക്ക് ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ എത്തിക്കാന്‍ അരുണും കൂടിയിരുന്നു. അവിടെയെത്തിയ ശേഷം ഇയാള്‍ കടന്നുകളഞ്ഞു. അരുണിനു വേണ്ടി തിരച്ചില്‍ തുടരുകയാണെന്നു പൊലീസ് പറഞ്ഞു.

The clash took place in Jayanthi Nagar, Idavattam, at around eleven o'clock last night. When neighbors came out after hearing the commotion, Gokulnath was found lying on the ground. His accomplice, Arun, was still assaulting him. Police stated that both Gokulnath and Arun are members of a cannabis sales gang. Arun also helped take the seriously injured Gokulnath to Kottarakkara Taluk Hospital following the clash. After reaching there, he absconded. The police said that the search for Arun is continuing.
